Trivia Thursday Riddle – Who Am I??

Hey Neighbor!

Can You Solve My Riddle??

******************************************

When I was a young man I was envious and jealous

For my tribe and myself, I was even quite zealous

Before I was courageous, I served as helper and aid

Dutifully followed the paths my master had paved

He chose me, even while I was still a young man

I guess God had my prosperous future pre-planned

When my master couldn’t go, ‘twas I who took lead

There’s a book in the Bible that records all my deeds

Nuggets of Wealth for Life and Health – June 29

BLESS (AFFECTIONATELY, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name! Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits– Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases (Psalms 103:1)

Hey Neighbor!

Today is Wednesday, and Here is Your Nugget for this week…June 29, 2022.

*****************************************

Today’s nugget will hopefully benefit those who are battling pain and inflammation!!

******************************************

Now, very rarely do I experience pain…every since I learned that certain foods, particularly in excess can trigger pain!!

Anyway…yesterday my hip began to ache. Fortunately, I knew exactly what to do!!

It was time to run a tub of hot water, toss in a couple of large scoops of baking soda, and most importantly, add my Magnesium oil!!

I soaked for at least 40 minutes!!

Why 40 minutes??

Well, it gives your body enough time to take in the amount of baking soda it wants and/or needs, then your body will cause any excesses or retained ‘water’ to be filtered back out as sweat.

This works very nicely for me, as it will usually help to normalize my body’s ph or percent hydrogen…which is happy right around 7-7.5.

Now, I check my ph daily and yesterday, I discovered that it had dropped down to a 5.5, which creates a very acidic condition in the body.

This was not a surprise to me, considering I have been eating out for about a week and binging on coffee!!

Coffee has its benefits, but in excess, it can also feed acidic conditions in the body and can induce pain.

When the bloodstream is very acidic, inflammation can reign and roam in the body.

Inflammation or as I call it, ‘itis’ will roam through the body and find a nice cozy place to land…thus my inflamed hip yesterday…and the associated pain.

Now…In comes Magnesium to the rescue!!

My body absorbs magnesium like a sponge absorbs water…and very likely, yours will too!!

No worries about your body taking in too much, or whether or not the body will filter out the excesses this time, because most of us are magnesium deficient.

Our bodies do not make magnesium, and it is very often depleted from the soil…thus it remains non-existent in most of our store-bought fruits and veggies.

Tending to your soil naturally and growing your own herbs, fruits and veggies will reintroduce magnesium back into the the body, naturally.

If this is not feasible, then you may want to introduce your magnesium as an oral supplement, or even as a topical oil.

I choose both, in addition to growing a few foundational herbs, fruits and veggies at home.

My Naturopath recommends a brand of Magnesium called:

Integrative Therapeutics Tri-Magnesium.

This stuff works wonders…just a couple before bed will help to lull you off to sleep, and may even bring down those elevated Blood Pressure Numbers by morning.

In addition to my nightly dose of Tri-Mag, I have also discovered:

Ancient Minerals Magnesium Oil.

This stuff has brought tremendous relief to myself, my family members, friends, and also my church fam.

I usually purchase the large bottle of Ancient Minerals…I prefer the ‘Ultra’ brand…and I often share it with the folks at church, who have been suffering with pain…and the positive reports are pouring in!!

I call it, My Magnesium Ministry!!🤣

Anyway, my hip pain is nearly gone!!

No coffee for me this morning and I’m off for another 40 minute soak!!

Here is Your Health Homework:

Research percent hydrogen (ph) and the effects of acidic conditions on the body.

I think you will be quite enlightened, and you may even start testing your body’s ph daily, as well!!

********************************************

Again…I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV🤣

So Ultimately, You must do your own research, and talk with your physician to make the best health choices for yourself and your family.

Don’t Forget…Your Health Must Matter Most To You!!

Can You Name That Prophet??

-There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

(1Corinthians 10:13)

Hey Neighbor!

Sometimes the man or woman of God can grow weary and/or become deeply discouraged because of the overwhelming evil in the world and/or because he perceives that God has given him a burden that has become too heavy to bear.

Now Scripture reminds us that God will not put more on us than we can bear, so we can remain confident that God will always send help or provide support to he, whom God has equipped for service!!

Look at Jesus, when he was in the Garden of Gethsemane. He was nearly having a nervous breakdown, as he prayed and pleaded with his friends to wait and watch with him.

And He said to them, My soul is exceedingly sad (overwhelmed with grief) so that it almost kills Me! Remain here and keep awake and be watching.  (Mark 14:34)

Wow!! Even Jesus became overwhelmed during his ministry, but God sent Help!!

Saying, Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but [always] Yours be done. And there appeared to Him an angel from heaven, strengthening Him in spirit.(Luke 22:42)

God sent an angel to come to Jesus to encourage and strengthen Him…And Praise God Jesus, Our Lord and Savior, Who was both Our High Priest and Prophet, continued on to finish The Work of God!!

Now let’s look At these 3 additional prophets, who also felt overwhelmed, very much like Jesus while in service to God!!

Their souls were vexed and they too felt overwhelmed with grief, so much so that they would rather die!!

Can you identify the 3 prophets below who, in times of strenuous strain, preferred for God to take their lives, rather than continuing on to complete their assignments??

  1. _________________________said, “Therefore now, O Lord, I beseech You, take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live.”
  2. __________________________said, “And if this is the way You deal with me, kill me, I pray You, at once, and be granting me a favor and let me not see my wretchedness [in the failure of all my efforts.”
  3. ___________________________said, “He said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am no better than my fathers.”

What’s On Your Menu??- Adam and Eve!!

And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die (Genesis 2:16)

Hey Neighbor!

In Numbers 11, the people began to murmur and complain about the fresh manna that God served up every morning for breakfast, lunch, and dinner….and even for dessert!!

They longed for the fish, of which they ate freely and also for the leeks and the garlic, from back when they were enslaved in Egypt.

In fact these rabble rousers were nearly ready to revolt and return to Egypt, just to satisfy their insatiable palates.

What a stiff-necked, rebellious group of folks!!

But if you will remember, it was not so from the beginning…back in Eden!!

Back in the Garden of Eden, God was serving up fruit in abundance. Adam and Even could eat freely from a great variety of trees in the Garden…and they were pleasantly satisfied until the serpent slithered in….with a surprise!!

After their Exodus, I can imagine that Adam and Eve also wished that they could have returned to the Pleasantness of the Garden of Eden to dine and to freely eat, like they used to.

Only now they couldn’t go back…even if they tried!!

Their way back was now prevented by the Angel with the flaming Sword.

God had placed the Cherubim there, at the East of Eden to guard and protect the tree of Life from the hands of Adam and his wife.

They had been disobedient and had eaten from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity…and now that they knew the difference between good and evil, they were banned from God’s Garden Restaurant!!

Where would they eat now??

After they were driven from Eden, they saw a sign that read: ‘Out of Eden’s Edibles’

Check out the Menu!!

****************************************

Starters:

Original Sin Soup

Fallen Fruit Salad

Entrees:

Beguiled Burgers

Exile’s Egg salad

Sweaty-brow Pizza topped w/thorns and thistles

Dessert:

Serpent’s Surprise!!

********************************************

Now, when Eve decided to inquire about the Serpent’s Surprise, she learned that it was actually a heaping dish of Fried Apples, sprinkled with a ‘dust to dust’ dessert topping.

She recommended the ‘surprise’ to her husband…but on this go-round, Adam decided it was best that they decline to dine in that place all together!!🤣

I’ve heard it said that hind-sight is 20/20😂

Super-Faith Sunday Riddle – Who Am I??

Hey Neighbor!

It’s Sunday 6/26, and Today I wrote another riddle to highlight this week’s ‘Faith-Full’ Female from the Bible.
Can You Guess Who She Is??

*******************************************

I saw him pass by and convinced him to dine

I desired for him, a nice place to recline

Because of my wealth, I provided the best

So the mouthpiece of God could stop here and rest

He was pleasantly pleased by my thought and concern

But my secret desire, he could not discern

He rushed back to my home, for sudden death had arrived

Back to my home, where his rest had derived

In the very same bed, where he had once lain

Slept my lifeless beloved, whom by noon had been slain

Solution Saturday Answer- Moses’ Leprous Hand!!

-[Then God said] If they will not believe you or heed the voice or the testimony of the first sign, they may believe the voice or the witness of the second sign. (Ex 4:8)

Hey Neighbor!

Here is Trivia Thursday’s Question and Answer!!

***************************************

Now in the Old Testament, there was an incident where God marked one of His prophets with leprosy, for a time.

And although God had caused the disease of leprosy to fall upon this prophet, God was not using this particular case of leprosy to reflect His displeasure with the man, but instead this prophet’s leprous hand was to be used as a sign to reflect God’s Power and Authority.

*********************************************

Can You Name That Prophet??

*******************************************
Answer: The Prophet, Moses

-The Lord said also to him, Put your hand into your bosom. He put his hand into his bosom, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous, as white as snow. [God] said, Put your hand into your bosom again. So he put his hand back into his bosom, and when he took it out, behold, it was restored as the rest of his flesh

(Exodus 4:6-7)

Putting on The Whole Armor of God!!

-Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil. For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents-
(Ephesians 6:11-12)

Hey Neighbor!

It’s 6/24/2022 and it’s Oldie but a Goodie Friday on the CareBibleStudy Blog.

Last week I revived a Father’s Day tribute to my dad, reflecting how he was armed with the sword of the spirit- which is the Word of God.

Before I chose my dad as my sword- wielder, I introduced this blog back in 2014, when I received the revelation regarding God’s Spiritual Armor.

Here is a peek into the past – The Whole Armor of God!!

****************************************

This weekend was a Retro-television weekend at my house!!

I really enjoy introducing the old shows that I grew up watching on TV to my daughter, Allie.

I love it when she plops down at the foot of our bed and she gets all wrapped up in the blankets…and in these old TV shows!!

So this weekend we watched the first season of…’Wonder Woman!!’

I used to love me some Wonder Woman!!
And I was so excited, about getting the video home, because for me …it would be like watching the show for the very first time.

I was only 2 when the show came out in ’75… And the re-runs only ran through the early 80’s, so I was only about 10 years old and couldn’t remember anything about the plot…but I remembered the ‘turnaround thing.’

As kids, whenever my brother Tony and I agreed to play superheroes…we would fight the evil trees (our enemy) in the backyard…and I would do the turnaround thing and transform into Wonder Woman and save the World!! Yay!!

And so…as Allie and I watched the first few episodes, she turned to me and asked, “Why do the villains give up so easily after Wonder Woman throws that rope over them?”

So I reminded her, that the rope was no ordinary rope, but it was the ‘Truth Lasso!’

Once it’s looped around the bad guys …they loose their ability to resist against the good guys …. and they can only confess the truth!!

So then we started talking about the rest of her costume…and as we sat there, we were able to identify the purpose for all of Wonder Woman’s special weapons on her outfit.

She wore a Golden Belt – from where her strength was generated

She wore the Feminine Bracelets – to deflect bullets

She wore a Golden Crown – which she could use like a boomerang

And again, she carried the Truth Lasso

So I thought Man!! …Wonder Woman was Fully Equipped!!

And then the Holy Spirit says, “You’re Fully Equipped too!”

He says,
“You have your special, Spiritual Weapons.”….
You’re dressed in the Whole Armor of God!!”

I thought, “That’s So Cool!!”
So…We Really are Like Wonder Woman, In Christ!!

Just Think about it for a moment…

When We finally stop resisting God, and decide that We’re ready to start resisting the devil, We make our Confession of Faith. –

We confess that we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He came to earth and died for Our sins.

…Then, like Wonder Woman, we too can do the turnaround thing!!

We turn our backs on sin and accept Jesus Christ as our Personal Savior, asking Him to come and live on the inside of Us!

…When He comes in- As the Holy Spirit – He purifies our human spirit; Transforming Us into a New Spiritual Creature in Christ.

And Then…He fully equips us for Spiritual Warfare against our enemy!!

-Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God, And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace. Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one]. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God-
(Ephesians 6:14-15)

Now, after getting geared-up, before we run to the battle line, we have to know…Who is Our opponent??

According to Ephesians 6:12,
-For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.-

This is important because this verse tells us that our opponent is not of flesh and blood.

The devil is an evil spirit, and he desires to steal Our peace, kill Our hope and Our joy, and to destroy Our lives and Our families…and take Us to Hell with him!!

So we can’t come to the battlefront, ill-prepared, with physical weapons like our fists, or guns and knives.

We have to fight Spirit with Spirit!!

So God empowers us to resist the enemy, Spiritually dressed in His Armor – Standing there in His Power and Might!!

-Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place.

Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God, And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace. Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one]. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God-
(Ephesians 6:13-15)

So this week, we will talk more about the details of Our Spiritual Weapons and how Our Awesome God equips us with each essential piece of gear for Our Spiritual Battle against the devil and our flesh!!

So on Tuesday, We’ll talk about the purpose for our First Spiritual Weapon – The Belt of Truth-

Until Tomorrow,

Remember…

Can You Solve My Riddle Answer – Adah and Zillah

-And said, For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be united firmly (joined inseparably) to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh? (Matthew 19:5)

******************************************
Hey Neighbor!

Once Again, here is this week’s riddle with the associated bible verses inserted.
******************************************

Jacob and David were ensnared by our sin

This sin was not so, ‘til the three of us began
And Lamech took two wives; the name of the one was Adah and of the other was Zillah.
(Gen 4:19)

-And did not God make [you and your wife] one [flesh]? Did not One make you and preserve your spirit alive? And why [did God make you two] one? (Malachi 2:15)

I was my husband’s #1 bride (Adah), I said yes and I do

Then he married again, she was bride #2 (Zillah)

The two sons that I bore were gifted with skills

(Jabal and Jubal Genesis 4:20)

A musician and a shepherd by a man who could kill (Lamech)

#2’s son was skilled with both iron & bronze, and not with pottery (Tubal-cain Genesis 4:22)

Their dad (Lamech) would’ve picked #7, if he could’ve played lottery 🤣😂

(If Cain is avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech [will be avenged] seventy-sevenfold (Gen 4:23)

******************************************
Answers:

Who is Bride #1 – Adah

Bible Trivia Thursday- Can You Name That Prophet??

Hey Neighbor!

Back in April of this year, I shared a couple of riddles with you.

Now one of the riddles was about the 10 lepers, from Jesus’ parable in Luke 17:15.

Here is a link, if you would like to go back and check out those 2 riddles and their pertinent answers….

Now, out of those 10 lepers from Jesus’ parable, we learned that it was the 1 Samaritan Leper who returned to Jesus with much thanks, praising Jesus for healing his body and removing the leprous marks of God’s displeasure.
