‘Super-Faith’ Sunday Riddle- Who Am I??

Hey Neighbor!

Today we have yet another ‘faith-full’ female from the Bible!!

Although this Woman has often gone under the radar, in my opinion she ranks tops in her class; right along with some of the most courageous women mentioned in the Bible!!
Can You guess who she is??

My father, another wicked king, was now dead

My brother was seated on the throne in his stead

The same father we shared, he and dad both served Baal.

His reign was a short one, he was wicked as well

Much like our dad, who was controlled by his wife,

The queen mom took control of my brother’s short life.

She wailed not, nor grieved, though her son was deceased

For years after his death, our land had no peace

But I took charge of his son, to preserve flesh and bone

To rescue and hide the next heir to the throne

Though his grandmother sought to kill him indeed

I arose and protected Judah’s last royal seed.

  1. Hi…Tam….I’m so late! But I could not pass this! I immediately thought of King Ahab and Jezebel and came across:”But Jehosheba, daughter of King Joram and sister of Ahaziah, took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were being put to death. She put him and his nurse in the bedroom, so he was hidden from Athaliah, so that he was not killed. “( 2 Kings 11:2-3🙄

  2. “But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were about to be put to death, and she put him and his nurse in a bedroom. Thus Jehoshabeath, the daughter of King Jehoram and wife of Jehoiada the priest, because she was a sister of Ahaziah, hid him from Athaliah, so that she did not put him to death.”

I find the story of the Kings around the time of Jezebel and Ahab quite intriguing. It was interesting how kings and royal families used execution style strategies to keep their dynasties alive. Do we know the name of the servant who saved Mephibosheth?
