Trivia Thursday – Name That Prophet!!

-Jehu lifted up his face to the window and said, Who is on my side? Who? And two or three eunuchs looked out at him. And he said, Throw her (Jezebel) down! So they threw her down, and some of her blood splattered on the wall and on the horses, and he drove over her (2Kings 9:32)

Hey Neighbor!

Earlier this week, we talked about Jezebel’s tragic death, as prophesied by the prophet, Elijah.

Well, King Ahab had been wounded in battle and had passed away! So with her husband, Ahab out of the way, Jezebel had set her sights on Jehu, God’s ‘anointed’ King of Israel.

But Jehu was not feeling Jezebel. He was not impressed with her painted face, nor the glamour of her royalty.

And as we can see, from the scripture above, Jehu had Jezebel thrown from the palace window, where he proceeded to drive his chariot over her remains…leaving the dogs to eat her flesh!!

What a Mess!!🤮

Well Jezebel was not the only royal whose flesh was eaten by the animals, or even by insects upon their deaths.

In fact, a certain wicked king, very much like Jezebel, was also dressed to impress on the day that he finally met his doom. This treacherous king was all arrayed in his finest, royal garments, and as he sat upon his throne, he was suddenly stuck down!!

Worms came to eat this king’s flesh, and he died tragically!!
