Trivia Thursday- Name That Tribe!!

And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan (Deuteronomy 31:2)

Hey There Neighbors, and Happy New Year to You All!!

I have been on a much needed hiatus, although I have been both missing and thinking of so many of you here on the blog!!

The Holidays were wonderful, and the kids have returned to school, and all is Well with the Weary’s!!

Thanks so much to those who have reached out in concern, and please know that I am forever endeared that the Lord placed my name on your heart, and that you remembered to pray for lil ol’ me, as I have also been praying for you💕

Well in today’s lead scripture, above, we see where God forbade Moses from crossing over the Jordan. Now although Moses remained on the east side of the Jordan, God did give his ‘faith-full’ Servant a sneak peak over onto the west side of the Jordan, just before Moses passed away.

Now thereafter, Joshua succeeded Moses as Israel’s Leader, And because God was with Joshua, just as He had been with Moses, the 12 Tribes did hear and heed unto Joshua’s commands as they successfully crossed over to the west side of the Jordan.

However, some of their wives, their children, and their cattle remained on the sunrise side of the Jordan, where Moses had died.

*******************************************

Whose Wives/children were these, that remained ‘in the land of their possession,’ on the east side of the Jordan?

Can You Name Their (2 1/2) Tribes??

    Numbers 32:1
[1]Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of livestock; and when they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, that indeed the region was a place for livestock,

I think these two tribes are those who allowed their wives and children to settle whilst they help the whole of Israel to possess their respective allotments

  3. Answer: The tribe of Reuben, the tribe of Gad, and half of the tribe of Manasseh.

“So the sons (descendants) of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh returned home and departed from the [other] sons (western tribes) of Israel at Shiloh which is in the land of Canaan, to go to the land of Gilead, to the land of their own which they had possessed, in accordance with the command of the Lord through Moses.” Joshua‬ ‭22‬:‭9‬ ‭AMP‬‬ – Blessings, welcome back!

  4. 🤣🤣😅😅😂😂funny enough someone from the band at church was packing up and found a bottle of water. He thought it was mine and shouted out, ‘is this Anneta’s water?’ The men started laughing and kept repeating Anneta-Wata. I didn’t find it funny at all. 😂😅🤣 Even my husband joined in.

  5. “And to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh Joshua said, “Remember the word that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, ‘The Lord your God is providing you a place of rest and will give you this land.’ Your wives, your little ones, and your livestock shall remain in the land that Moses gave you beyond the Jordan, but all the men of valor among you shall pass over armed before your brothers and shall help them,”
