Super-Faith Sunday Riddle – Who Was She??

Hey Neighbor!

It’s Sunday, August 7th and your riddle is ready. I believe you can solve it…just stand strong and hold steady!!

Grab Your Bibles and Have Fun🤩

********************************************

When a follower of Jesus suddenly fell ill,

Her friends refused to accept her death was God’s will

She had done so much to help the downtrodden and poor

She proved faith was not dead, by her works all the more

Her light had burned out, still she kept those warm who had need

Her friend’s cries moved the rock, when he saw all her deeds.

The Lord loved this woman, who had given with cheer

When prayers for her were sent up, God was ‘faith-full’ to hear.

More Solution Saturday!!

Hey Neighbor!

Today I have Solutions for Our Trivia Tuesday and Our Trivia Thursday Questions.

I have included the Trivia Questions, as well as This week’s Trophy Winners🤩

*******************************************
Here is Tuesday’s Trivia Question.

******************************************
Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, judged Israel at that time. She sat under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites came up to her for judgment (Judges 4:4)

Now, The Scripture above tells us that Deborah sat underneath the Palm tree in Israel…that was of course her office, where God’s people sought her for wise counsel, because she was God’s spokesperson at that time, as well as ‘governor.’

Yes! Deborah sat in the office of both Prophetess and Judge in Israel.

Deborah was Israel’s 4th Judge, and the only woman that served in that ‘office,’ from Onthniel to the Prophet, Samuel.

Now, although Deborah ruled as God’s first female Judge in Israel, she was not the first woman to be called God’s Prophetess!!

Indeed there were several women in the Bible, who carried the weight of this ‘title.’

In fact, just this week Our Super-Faith Sunday Riddle has revealed for us another devout female spokeswoman for God, who lived in the land of Judah…during the times of the Kings!!

She was The Prophetess, Huldah!!

So back to today’s Trivia Question…

Do you know who served as God’s very first prophetess??

Hint***This devout woman boldly praised God before all of His congregation!!

Can You Name That Prophetess??

*********************************
Answer: Miriam
🏆Winner: Chalvonia 👏👏

http://ministryin.wordpress.com/

Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women went out after her with timbrels and dancing (Exodus 15:20)

Chalvonia: And here I am a student again😃yes…it was fun this morning…💃🏽🎶💃🏽

*****************************************
Here is Thursday’s Trivia Question.

*****************************************
On Wednesday’s I write a health and wellness blog, where I share home remedies and natural ways of treating some of our health concerns and conditions.

In yesterday’s post, I shared how my husband and I struggled to find relief for our daughter, Allie, through traditional medicines…to no avail!!

In fact, we found ourselves, like the woman with the issue of blood, seeking out doctor after doctor, but Allie’s condition only grew worse.

It wasn’t until we got down real low and stretched forth our hands to seek the Lord, first and foremost, that He began to make the crooked paths straight and open up the doors towards her healing and wholeness!

In last week’s Trivia Thursday question, we wanted to know which sickly King received a death sentence from the Lord, via the Prophet Isaiah, but after the King turned and sought the Lord in prayer for his life…God sent the prophet back immediately, with a message of hope, restoration, and a home remedy.

God relented the curse, and extended mercy instead!!

He extended the king’s life for another 15 years.

Answer: That was the good king, Hezekiah.

Now there was another King of Judah who also became very ill, but instead of seeking the Lord in prayer, or calling for the prophet..this king sought after the wisdom and knowledge of his physicians only, and that king died!!

********************************************

Can You Name That King??

***********************************
Answer: King Asa of Judah

🏆Winner: Pedro Villarreal👏👏👏

In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was diseased in his feet–until his disease became very severe; yet in his disease he did not seek the Lord, but relied on the physicians. (2 Chronicles 16:12)

Pedro: 39 years as king! How terrible it was due him that he did not trust the Lord.

Got it, I know I got it!!! 🎊🎉🕺🕺🕺

Solution Saturday – Huldah, the Prophetess!!

She (Huldah) said to them, Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Tell the man who sent you to me, Thus says the Lord: Behold, I will bring evil upon this place and upon its inhabitants, according to all the words of the book which the king of Judah has read (2Kings 22:15)

Hey Neighbor!

Once Again, Here is your Super-Faith Sunday Riddle and Your Answer!!

Enjoy🤩

*******************************************

To Wrath, Has Your Lord God been provoked

“Thus said the Lord,” were the words that I spoke

His anger was triggered by the wicked works of men’s hands,

Was the message from God, I sent back to the man

Who inquired of God, after finding the book

How long was it missing and no man thought to look??

Woe!! For My people have long-since forsaken My laws

And King after King has reneged on his vows

But Your heart, Oh King, God has seen it…no doubt.

You eyes will he spare, though His wrath be poured out.

These words from Your God, will come to pass and prevail, spoken straight from the mouth of this ‘faith-full’ female!!

*****************************************

Who Is She??

*****************************************

Answer: Huldah, the prophetess

And Hilkiah and they whom the king had appointed went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum son of Tokhath, the son of Hasrah, keeper of the wardrobe. She dwelt in Jerusalem, in the Second Quarter. They spoke to her to that effect (2 Chronicles 34:22)

God Changed His Name – ‘Uncle Bob’

-Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new-
(2 Corinthians 5:17)

Hey Neighbor!

I enjoy writing Bible Stories About My Family Members.

Especially when the Holy Spirit shows me The Truth of God’s Word in such a way that is applicable in our everyday lives.

Here is another Oldie but a Goodie about How God transformed My Uncle Bob into a New Creature in Christ and Gave him a new name!!

Enjoy🤩

****************************************

In our Bible Study, we’ve been talking about how God can give you a new name. We talked about God changing Abram’s name to Abraham, which again, means Father of Many Nations.

So can you imagine, Abraham walked around, 100 years old, introducing himself to people as the Father of Many Nations, when he only had 1 child??

When God changed Sarai’s name, she didn’t even know it. God said to Abraham, “Don’t call her Sarai, anymore!” So I guess Abraham went home, walked in saying “Honey!…Sarah! I’m home.” So she’s gotta be thinking..Who is he talking to?? That’s not my name!

Then Abraham goes on to tell her… “Oh Yeah…and while I was out talking to God, today, He said I can’t call you Sarai, anymore…He changed my name to Abraham and now your’s is Sarah!!”

Wow!!

So God Changed Sarai’s name and didn’t tell HER!!

Sounds crazy, huh??

We’ll I want to tell you a story about an Uncle of mine, who was once, called, Robert.

Here’s the story:

I grew up in East St. Louis with both my mother and father in the home. There were three of us…so I have one sister and 1 brother and I’m the baby!!

My parents had changed their lifestyles when we were young and they were both God-fearing Christians. They loved us and kept us close to home; they were very strict and watchful of who we made friends with and/or dated. They were even watchful of the family members that came around.

So growing up, I knew my mothers side of the family, but had very vague memories of my Dad’s side…till my father passed away in February, 2001.

Praise God!! He used that time of mourning and turned it into dancing for me. I got a chance to become well acquainted with my paternal Aunt’s and Uncles; particularly the Uncle that looks just-like-my-Dad, named Robert, but the family called him Bob.

I had actually met him about 10 years before my father passed away. It was at East Side’s Championship game in Normal, IL.

During the intermission, A friend and I were headed to the concession stands to get a snack when I saw this man approaching in the crowds. He looked so familiar to me..I couldn’t take my eyes off him.

When we got close enough, I just had to ask him…Is your name Bob?? Because You look Just like my Daddy!!

It was him!!…I had heard his name growing up, around our house, but I had never seen him…So fast forward to the Present.

Now he’s our Security Guard at the Center and we’ve grown so close, it’s just like having Daddy around again.

The Lord brought us together, again about 2 years ago, after his wife, Greta passed away. I needed a Security Guard/Maintenance Person
and He Needed Jesus!! Lol!

So the The Lord brought us together and met both our needs.

Now if you’ve ever been to the Center, You know my Uncle, Bob!! From my friends…to my exercise class..our bible study folks…and all the Church Families.

He is unforgettable…And EVERYBODY calls Him Uncle Bob!!

And it actually drove him crazy, for a while!!

I guess it had become contagious…All of my friends and our ‘Center family’ started calling him ‘Uncle Bob’ because of me, initially…but people were starting to call him Uncle Bob away from the Cultural Center, as well.

He would tell me how he had seen this person…or that person…at the grocery store and how they Greeted him as ‘Uncle Bob,’ instead of Robert.

He would ask me..Why are these people calling me ‘Uncle Bob’ and they’re older than me??

I thought it was funny!!
(I think everything is funny)…but he didn’t!!

It kept happening to him over and over again. He would introduce himself, as Robert, but they refused to call him Robert…but Uncle Bob!!

He didn’t realize what was happening, but I did!!

The Lord had been doing a great work in Bob since he had moved into the Center….He had accepted Jesus Christ as his Personal Savior and the Holy Spirit had come in, changing him into a new Creature in Christ and therefore…..he needed a new name that was befitting, the New Man.

The Robert that the world had known was a selfish, obnoxious, alcoholic …but Not Uncle Bob!!

Now that The Lord has kept him clean and sober for nearly 1 1/2 years now, He has a church home and most importantly, a church family to support him on his Spiritual Journey.

He’s the Teacher’s pet in my bible study class and God Bless him…he’s got the CRAVE!!…but it’s for The Word of God!! After our class wraps up on Tuesday nights, he makes a mad dash out of the house to catch the next Bible Study at SSAMM’s.

It’s Amazing..the transformation God has made in him…He’s been an incredible blessing to my life and to our Family at the Center. He loves to feed everybody that comes by.

He brings home cookies, cakes, and pies and he makes the best Chicken and Dumplings, EVER!!

I thank God for my new Uncle. I love him, dearly and I know my dad would be so proud of his born-again, baby brother

God Changed my Uncle’s Name, although he’s still a little obnoxious…but if he wasn’t…he wouldn’t be Uncle Bob!!

Do You believe God is Still Changing Names, Today??

If so, What Name is He Calling You??

Tomorrow, We’ll talk about how God Changed Jacob’s name – to Israel!

Til Then,
God Loves 💕You and So Do I!!

God’s ‘Faith-full’ Daughter, Jehosheba!!

  • So Jehosheba daughter of King Jehoram, sister of Ahaziah, and wife of Jehoiada the priest, hid [Joash] from [his grandmother] Athaliah, so that she did not slay him. And Joash was with them hidden in the house of God six years, and Athaliah reigned over the land (2Chronicles 22:11)

Hey Neighbor!

What is a princess to do when she is surrounded by evil throughout the palace?

This princess’s name was Jehosheba, and she was the daughter to King Jehoram…who had reigned in Judah for eight years after her grandfather, Jehoshaphat.

Now before King Jehoshaphat died, he left gold, silver, and fortified territories in Judah to his six younger sons, but the throne, he left to his eldest son, Jehoram.

But Jehosheba’s dad was a wicked king. He killed all of her uncles – the king’s brothers, at the start of his reign…and not for the surety of his throne, but Jehoram killed his brothers out of jealousy…just as Cain killed Abel!!

You see, scripture tells us that Jehoram’s brothers had favor with their father Jehoshaphat…for they were better than him!!

-But (Jehoram) have walked in the ways of Israel“s kings, and made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem play the harlot like the [spiritual] harlotry of Ahab“s house, and also have slain your brothers of your father“s house, who were better than you, (2Chr 21:13)

From this scripture above, we have also learned that King Jehoram had been counseled closely by the wicked house of Ahab, from the Northern Kingdom.

Where had King Jehoshaphat gone wrong with his eldest son, Jehoram??

Well, scripture tells us that Jehoshaphat was a godly king, but unfortunately he had aligned himself with the house of Ahab and Jezebel…or should I say Jezebel and Ahab…as this aggressive, dominating, baal worshipping, Sidonian woman certainly wore the pants in Ahab’s household.

Jezebel was the slithering serpent that had cast all of the fiery darts in Israel, and then she sent Ahab, The King of Israel out to pick up the bodies!!

Indeed there were bodies all about the trail, wherever Jezebel or her bloody daughter, Athaliah had trod!!

Here’s a body count from Jehoram’s brothers!!

– He (Jehoram) had brothers: Azariah, Jehiel, Zechariah, Azariah, Michael, and Shephatiah, all the sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel. Their father gave them great gifts of silver, gold, and precious things, together with fortified cities in Judah, but the kingdom he gave to Jehoram, the firstborn (2Chr 21:2)

Now Athalia had become Jehoram’s wife, as well as the evil, in-house counsel to to the King of Judah!!

Athaliah trained Jehoram in treachery and advised him in idolatry….for she was trained up in the Northern kingdom by her wicked mother, Jezebel!!

Now Jehosheba was very fortunate that Athaliah was not her biological mother…Jehosheba’s mother remains one of the unnamed wives that were carried away by the Arabs and the Philistines, along with Jehosheba’s remaining brothers.

Only one of Jehosheba’s wicked brothers, Ahaziah remained alive in Judah after the attack, but unfortunately, that brother was Athaliah’s biological son, whom she controlled and manipulated like a pawn on the chessboard of Life!!

In contrast, Jehosheba had rejected her step-mom’s ‘wicked wife’ tutorials and refused to be injected with the vicious venom that Athaliah was serving up in the palace!!

Jehosheba married a man of God!!

Yes!!

Jehosheba’s husband was Jehoiada, the Lord’s High Priest!!

Jehosheba rejected the wickedness that had permeated the palace and instead, she ran to the House of The Lord!!

While still her brother, Ahaziah remained under the spell of his treacherous mother, and his wicked grandparents!!

– He (Ahaziah) also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab, for his mother was his counselor to do wickedly. So he did evil in the sight of the Lord like the house of Ahab, for they were his counselors after his father“s death, to his destruction. (2Chr 22:3)

But God was not pleased with Ahaziah, as his reign as king only lasted one year, and he was slain in Israel by Jehu, and Ahaziah was buried with their grandfather, Jehoshaphat.

Now that Ahaziah was dead, Athaliah was not willing to wail, nor to loose any sleep…for she refused to loose the southern kingdom from her filthy fingers!!

Athaliah strengthened herself on the throne in Judah by committing a most abominable act!!

She destroyed all of the seed from the royal line of David!!

Yes!!

Athaliah killed all of the princes…even Ahaziah’s sons, the rightful heirs to the throne in Judah.

This self-indulgent and power thirsty woman lusted after the throne, and because Athaliah hated God and had sold out to baal, she was fully intent on removing any semblance of light that remained on the throne in the Southern kingdom.

Athalia was an evil priestess of baal, in league with Satan to wipeout every last descendant of David’s bloodline…as to prevent the prophesied son of God, The Messiah from reigning and ruling through the royal line of Judah!!

But Jehosheba and her husband, Jehoiada were ‘faith-full’ servants of God, and they were aligned with righteousness…and in-league with the Lord!!

They both had refused to kneel before baal, nor permanently yield the throne to this foreign woman, who was in essence attempting to usurp the throne from the very hands of Jesus!!

So Jehosheba courageously risked both life and limb to save her one year old nephew, Joash, from the sword of Athalia…who had already slain all of little Joash’s elder brothers.

Yes!! Athalia thought she had killed every last one of her grandsons!!

She was fully intent upon taking hold of the reigns in the kingdom, much like her misguided father, satan…before he was cast out of heaven!!

She too, had hoped to quench the Light of God from the heavens and to cause the praises of God to cease throughout the kingdom!!

But the Spirit of The Lord was strong upon Jehosheba, as she stealthily stole the boy out of Athaliah’s hands and God’s grace was upon her to cause little Joash to be secretly hidden in the house of the Lord for six whole years…where Joash was raised up in the Fear and the Admonition of the Lord, under the authority of the High Priest!!

And Yes!!

Once Again, God cast out the usurper…even Athaliah and He reaffirmed David’s royal seed, securely upon the throne in Judah.

King Joash began to reign in the southern kingdom at the ripe age of 7 years old!!

****************************************

This Lesson is a story of strength and courage, reminding us that when God is for us, it doesn’t matter who comes against you…whether it be mother, father, brother, or even your beloved grandmother!!

God still sits upon His heavenly throne where He is seated high, and looking low upon the dastardly deeds of the wicked.

Never loose faith…even when there is nothing left but that last minuscule mustard seed…dedicate it to the Lord, by Faith, like Jehosheba and let God do His thing in that secret place, where he transforms that grain of seed into the Greatest Tree in the Garden.

Joash went on to become a ‘good’ king, but there was one more from his lineage, a branch brought forth out of the root of Jesse, who was, and is the Greatest King of All… That’s Jesus!!

Amen!!

Trivia Thursday – Name That King!!

And a woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for twelve years and had spent all her living upon physicians, and could not be healed by anyone, Came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His garment, and immediately her flow of blood ceased. (Luke 8:43)

Hey Neighbor!

On Wednesday’s I write a health and wellness blog, where I share home remedies and natural ways of treating some of our health concerns and conditions.

In yesterday’s post, I shared how my husband and I struggled to find relief for our daughter, Allie, through traditional medicines…to no avail!!

Nuggets of Wealth for Life and Health – August 3

– Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And [yet] not one of them is forgotten or uncared for in the presence of God. But [even] the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not be struck with fear or seized with alarm; you are of greater worth than many [flocks] of sparrows (Luke 12:6)

Hey Neighbor!

It’s Allie!!

Today is Wednesday, and Here is Your Nugget for this week…August 3, 2022.

****************************************

Today’s nugget will hopefully benefit those who are battling with eczema and alopecia.

****************************************

Last week, I promised you a testimonial on the benefits of Australian Tea Tree Oil – melaleuca.

So today I am gonna share my miraculous tea tree oil testimonial…or at least my eye witness testimonial of how tea tree oil restored hair growth to my baby girl’s balding scalp.

Well…Allie, who is now 20, was only 3 years old when she began to suffer with eczema, which is simply extremely dry patches of skin that become inflamed and excessively itchy.

So of course we took Allie to a dermatologist, who prescribed a steroid based prescription cream for her skin.

Now Allie was also having a terrible scalp issue, often called ‘cradle cap,’ so her dermatologist recommended that we also layer the steroid cream onto her scalp as well.

Initially, the prescription helped tremendously and Allie’s skin and hair began to show signs of healing. Now, if you know much about steroid creams, they often clear things up fairly quickly, but with eczema, at some point the dry patches become resistant to the treatment, rendering the cream ineffective…and therefore, the skin condition returns…oftentimes more stubborn than before!!

Well, what was the Dermatologist’s solution at this point??

A stronger prescription, of course!!

We accepted this temporary fix for quite a while, until we realized that the steroid cream had damaged Allie’s scalp, which left her with several bald patches throughout her hair.

So this time, the Dermatologist diagnosed Allie with yet another condition…alopecia!!

My husband and I realized at this point, that we were on the road to nowhere, so instead of accepting more prescription creams from the dermatologist, we decided that it was time to get to the root of the problem, which we had long suspected to be food allergies!!

We found a Naturopath who was also an environmental allergist. He was quickly able to determine that Allie’s skin condition was rooted from allergies to the foods that we had been feeding her, particularly wheat, corn, eggs, soy, etc. etc.

My poor baby was allergic to everything, because she had developed a yeast overgrowth in her gut, (candida) that had leached out from her gut and had permeated her bloodstream…thus the overgrowth of yeast on her skin (eczema) and in her hair (alopecia)!!

So our doctor started Allie on the ‘elimination diet,’ which further exposed more food sensitivities/allergies. I will post a link if you want to learn more about the ‘elimination diet’ and how it skyrocketed Allie’s road to wellness!!

This is a detailed 4 part Backstory about Allie’s Health Crisis and How God Healed and Restored our Allie!!

Oh my…It was truly a rough, roller coaster ride…but God brought us through it All!!

So back to the treatment of Allie’s scalp…

I had been doing some of my own research, because Allie’s health mattered most to me…and I had read that apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil were good treatments to kill a yeast overgrowth on the scalp, so I began to pour out half of her shampoo (into a separate container) and I refilled the half-empty shampoo bottle with apple cider vinegar…until the bottle was nearly full…then I topped it off with the tea tree oil…maybe 20 drops or so.

Of course, I saved the additional shampoo for later use…but I washed Allie’s hair every night with this mix for about 3-4 weeks, until one day I saw teeny tiny baby hair shoots coming up through her scalp!!

I was amazed!!

How did this happen??

Well, I didn’t realize it at the time, but this hair reveal had been progressing very gradually during our treatment period.

You see, after Allie’s nightly hair washing treatment, I would comb through her hair, and as I began to braid it, I began to notice loose pieces of skin on her scalp…so I would just peel that away. I didn’t know it at the time, but that loose skin was a dead skin layer that had become weak and had separated itself from her scalp!!

When I first saw this happening, I was initially panicked, because I thought Allie was just falling apart…but the tea tree oil/apple cider vinegar mix had been eating through the yeast buildup on her scalp…and as the yeast weakened, her very dry, patchy scalp began to soften up and eventually the layers of dead skin began to pull away…until finally the hair underneath was able to stretch forward!!

Praise the Lord!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾

With continual use, this nightly treatment produced a full, luxurious head of hair for my baby girl!!

The pic above is from Allie’s first year on campus at the University of Chicago!!

For Next Week….Here is Your Health Homework:

Please continue to explore the many benefits of Australian tea tree oil, and next week I will reveal a few more personal testimonials about this little lifesaver!! *********************************************

Again…I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV

So Ultimately, You must do your own research, and talk with your physician to make the best health choices for yourself and your family.

Don’t Forget…Your Health Must Matter Most To You!!

Trivia Tuesday – Can You Name That Prophetess??

– Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, judged Israel at that time. She sat under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites came up to her for judgment (Judges 4:4)

Hey Neighbor!

I solved a Bible quiz this morning!!💕

Yes…your teacher has reverted to student…And Yes…it was great fun!! 🤩

My Blogger Friend, Chalvonia has been doing an excellent Bible character development on the Prophetess, Deborah!

If You’re a Bible Quiz Lover, Please Go and Check Out Chalvonia’s Splash 💦 Poetry Quiz!!

http://ministryin.wordpress.com/

She is The Prophetess, Huldah!!

Here’s the link if you wanna take a peak, and/or learn more about her!!

So back to today’s Trivia Question…

Do you know who served as God’s very first prophetess??

Hint***This devout woman boldly praised God before all of His congregation!!

David was the king who set the standard, whereby all of the succeeding kings of Judah would be afterwards, compared to him!!

“As David, his father.”

This phrase we find repeated nine times in the book of 1 Kings.

Unfortunately, most of David’s descendant’s failed to meet his kingly standard after his death.

One of David’s most vile descendants reigned after him in Judah, and indeed he was a very wicked and bloody king!!

In fact, this king killed each and every one of his brothers for surety of his kingdom, soon after he was seated upon ‘his father, David’s throne.’

Can You Name That King??

Answer: King Jehoram

“When Jehoram had ascended the throne of his father and was established, he killed all his brothers with the sword, and also some of the princes of Israel.”
