I WILL MISS YOU, MOTHER!!

Isaiah 61:10

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness.

Hey Neighbor,

I lost my Beloved Mother, Tangee Sherree Horton on last Monday, February 27th. She past away quietly in her home with a smile on her face…accompanied by the Angels!!
When I last saw her in January, we had a lovely visit together. We had spoken on the phone several times since my brother had passed away in February of 2015, but she had a tendency to become reclusive at times, shutting herself away during times of trouble.
Anyway…we stood out in the brisk air….where we hugged and we cried. I told her I loved her and that I missed her. I told her that I didn’t want to be separated from her, nor did I want anyone to keep us separated anymore…and she agreed!

She warmed my heart when she called me beautiful…I told her it was because when I see my reflection…I see You!! We ate lunch together and shared photos. She got a chance to hear her granddaughter sing (phone video) and she was wowed by Alexandria’s voice.
As she listened to Allie’s song, She looked up from the video, smiling and she said, There’s nothing like family!!
My mother was a very solemn, private woman…she was never around many people, other than the family that she loved so much, but for many years she was saddened and troubled by the loss of her most precious loved ones.
She had missed and mourned her Madear
She mourned her Dad, Thel
She mourned her Beloved Grandmother, Lollie C.
She mourned her darling husband and our dad, Hubert
She mourned her brother, Brantley.
And finally, She was left to mourn her only Son, Hubert the III, but today we praise God because there are no more tears for her to shed. She’s not in this box…She’s Free!!
Free of the Trouble’s of this ol’ World!!

And Our Father God has received her into heaven…where Jesus Has clothed her with the reward of salvation and robed her in His righteousness.
And for that I cry…Hallelujah!!

Thanks So Much for Stopping By!!

I Will Miss You Big-Brother, Tony!!

image-O unhappy and pitiable and wretched man that I am! Who will release and deliver me from [the shackles of] this body of death- (Romans 7:24)

Hey Neighbor!!

As I was about to start my class last night, I received a call from My Aunt JoAnn… calling from California to let me know that my brother, Tony had passed away.  I’ve shared My story about My Relationship with my brother previously, on the CareBibleStudy blog.  The Message I shared was called, ‘Christmas Gift Ideas – Give Forgiveness!!’…You can type the word ‘Forgiveness’ in the search bar…if  You would like to read more about Our Family’s History.

So…He and I had finally repaired the breach in Our relationship, after He had awakened me on Dec 6, 2014…with a 5:30 in the morning text to say that He was My Big-Brother and He loved Me!!  He had called me by My Nickname, Nookie…and It made me realize how much I missed being his little sister.

So of Course I was shocked to hear the words, ‘He’s Dead’..because he was only 45 years old. Although he went peacefully…he was taken away…all too soon by that ‘Silent Killer,’ High Blood Pressure.

Every since we were kids, he had problems with his blood pressure.  I remember when We were kids…my mother would ask the nurse at the clinic to retake his blood pressure…assuming that Tony was just a little nervous!!  He was always very diligent about controlling his weight…He was a ‘work-out junkie’…always coming up with a new exercise routine in our basement. I remember how he would ride his bike around and around in the basement…when it was too cold to ride outside.

It was actually, Tony who taught me about working out and taking care of our bodies.  He would show me which exercises to do to target certain muscles. Although He was not a great basketball player, he shot hoops regularly, just to burn calories.  He was the ‘king of sweat.’

But over the years, he wasn’t able to control to his blood pressure anymore…by controlling his weight, alone.   So he started on the blood pressure pill…but he only took them sporadically.

He began putting on the pounds…and developed other health ailments…Tony was sick!!

And so…I wonder if he knew the extent of his condition and if he knew that his time left with Us was short. Did he know that the Lord was calling him home??

I’ll never know…but I am just grateful to God that He caused Tony to reach out to me on that early morning…December 6, 2014…to share the Gift of Forgiveness w/Me!!  We Forgave One Another…and We Began to love on one another.

I am going to miss Our early A.M. texts…where He (another Bible Fanatic, like my dad) encouraged me to keep reading my bible…and where he often asked me to convey His Love To Our Mother…and where he encouraged Me to keep believing that the Lord was going to heal the brokenness in Our Family because…as Tony said, ‘Jesus Is Lord!’

I’m Gonna Miss My Beloved, Big-Brother, Hubert F. Horton, III…But Now He is at Home with Jesus…And I Know that Like the Apostle, Paul…He Is Pleased!!

-Yes] we have confident and hopeful courage and are pleased rather to be away from home out of the body and be at home with the Lord (2Corinthians 5:8)

Please Be in Prayer For the Horton Family!!

Thanks For Stopping By, Neighbor!!
