—And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the LORD hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan (Deuteronomy 31:2)
Hey There Neighbors, and Happy New Year to You All!!
I have been on a much needed hiatus, although I have been both missing and thinking of so many of you here on the blog!!
The Holidays were wonderful, and the kids have returned to school, and all is Well with the Weary’s!!
Thanks so much to those who have reached out in concern, and please know that I am forever endeared that the Lord placed my name on your heart, and that you remembered to pray for lil ol’ me, as I have also been praying for you💕
Well in today’s lead scripture, above, we see where God forbade Moses from crossing over the Jordan. Now although Moses remained on the east side of the Jordan, God did give his ‘faith-full’ Servant a sneak peak over onto the west side of the Jordan, just before Moses passed away.
Now thereafter, Joshua succeeded Moses as Israel’s Leader, And because God was with Joshua, just as He had been with Moses, the 12 Tribes did hear and heed unto Joshua’s commands as they successfully crossed over to the west side of the Jordan.
However, some of their wives, their children, and their cattle remained on the sunrise side of the Jordan, where Moses had died.
Whose Wives/children were these, that remained ‘in the land of their possession,’ on the east side of the Jordan?
Whatever You Are Going Through- Walk Through It By Faith, and Not By Sight!!
-We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.
(2 Corinthians 4:8-9)
Sometimes it seems like we’ve become burdened down with more weight than we can carry, but never forget the our God is a Heavy Load-lifter and a Mind-Regulator, and This Too, Shall Pass!!
Here’s Another Oldie-but- a-Goodie!!
It’s been said that as We live this life, We will find that We are either;
Going through troubles..
Just coming out of troubles…
Or about to go through troubles…
For those of You going through today, I would like to Encourage You to Walk through it by Faith, and Not By Sight.
Take a Read through 2 Corinthians Chapter 4:
Paul tells Us that When we go through life’s tribulations; deterioration of the family, divorce and bitter separations, mental and emotional breakdown, financial woes, physical illness and pain, etc., If we will walk through it trusting in, and relying on God, then Our suffering is but a temporary, momentary, affliction…
And This Too Shall Pass!!
No!! Our troubles aren’t going to cease whenever we want them to; it’s not our own timing that’s important, but it’s God’s timing.
-But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God. My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.
Paul says that this current suffering that we are experiencing, in the natural, will produce great gains for Us spiritually, and eternally.
So although we are experiencing suffering in this fleshly tent, and these bodies that we live in are dying and deteriorating daily, Paul reminds Us that the inner man- the Spirit Man- is being refreshed and renewed daily!!
Paul encourages Us, as he reminds us that although there is trouble all around Us…
As we we walk through with God, He will give Us peace…so we’re not stressed-out.
When we are confused and perplexed, He gives us His grace (his kindness, mercy and favor)…so we’re not left in desperation and despair.
When we’re persecuted and it seems we’re fighting battles on every hand, Praise God we’re never forsaken nor defeated, because He causes Us to triumph over Our enemies.
Even when we are weak in the knees with fear and we fall down…it’s the Truth of God’s written Word that renews our Faith and Encourages Us to Get back up and Press On!!
Sometimes life’s roads appear to be rough, and rocky!!
And Yes!! Sometimes those mountains do look insurmountable, but your troubles won’t last always!!
God will give you hinds’ feet!!
And as you journey through these crooked places, with God’s Word in Hand and His Word hidden in Your Heart, you will make spiritual progress and You will make it out alright!!
By Faith, You will reach the summit – leaving your troubles and your sufferings far behind!!
So Be Encouraged Today!!
This Too Shall Pass!!
Thanks for Stopping By Neighbor,

After I posted my fermented tomatoes recipe, My blogger buddy, Wenda http://wendaswindow.wordpress.com/ asked me what I was going to do with my cucumbers, so I decided to share my fermented pickles recipe.
Much like my fermented tomatoes, these are also very rich in probiotics, so they are great for digestion!!
Here is a link to my Fermented tomatoes Recipe, just in case you missed it!!
Last year was was my first attempt at growing cucumbers. I bought 2 vines, added some chicken poop and seaweed for fertilizer, and those things were growing everywhere!!
It was crazy!!
I had cucumbers growing up the side of my deck, and one of the more aggressive vines even tried to attach itself to a tree and then begin to grow up there.
My husband kept cutting them and bringing them in, so I went pickling crazy!!
Needless to say, I still have pickles in my basement refrigerator leftover from last year, so I did not actually plant any cucumbers this year…but I still stumbled upon some volunteer cucumbers hidden in a patch…and who knew cucumber vines were so prickly and itchy!!👀
Now the first thing to do is to wash them well and be sure to scrub off all those prickly things, then slice off both of the end tips.
I like to half mine and then quarter them into spears.
Now, You can use whatever variation of fresh herbs and seasonings that you like, but the most critical ingredient you will need, is either a black tea bag or a few basil leaves to maintain crispness!!
Here are my ingredients!!
1 Tea bag and or (2-3) bay leaves (for crispy pickles) 2 tablespoons of Real Salt, Himalayan, or Sea Salt (no iodized table salt) Turmeric Mustard seed (yellow or brown) Sliced Onions Fresh dill Fresh Ginger Fresh Garlic (diced, if you like them garlicky) Pickling spice Celery seed Black peppercorns (add red pepper🌶 flakes, if you like your pickles spicy) 🥵
Now, you will want to place your black tea bag into the bottom of your clean mason jar. If you option to use green tea, add 2 green tea bags.
Arrange your spears into your jar first…I like to make layers, so that my jar looks pretty when I’m done. Sometimes, I find that lying my jar on its’ side helps with the arranging.
Now, after all of your ingredients are packed in tightly, pour in your non chlorinated water…filtered or spring water is best.
Fill your jar, as to cover all of your ingredients and then you can weigh them all down with a glass weight. (or a couple of shot glasses)
This will help to insure that all of your ingredients remain underneath the brine…otherwise they could mold.
If you don’t have a glass weight, a nice bunch of fresh dill can be used to help keep the cucumbers from floating up!!
Once again, you will seal your container or twist on your plastic or clean metal canning lid and, please remember to burp your contents daily for the next 2-3 days.
Be mindful of placement…you want to find a countertop area, away from direct heat and/or sunlight. And preferably, your kitchen temp is between 68-72 degrees.
You should start to see bubbles rising inside of your jar after a couple of days….This is a good thing, that means fermentation is happening.
The good bacteria is beginning to eat the sugars from your cucumbers, and are now producing CO2, so once again, don’t forget to release these gasses (or burp) your jar once/day….otherwise…boom🤯💥
After 2-4 days, try your pickles with a clean fork. If you like them, remove your glass weights and refrigerate them and enjoy.
If you prefer your pickles with a little sweetness, then sweeten them before your refrigerate them. I prefer unbleached organic sugar, but I have also sweetened them with honey as well.
Your pickles will continue to ferment inside of your refrigerator, but at a much slower rate!!
Your fermented pickles are not shelf stable and will begin to grow mold if you fail to refrigerate them after several days.
How to eat them??
You can add them to your salads, slice them and add them to your sandwiches and/or pour your brine into your soups and/or broths.
I even add my pickle juice to my spaghetti sauce😋.
If you have other fermenting or pickling ideas, let me know!!
Thanks For Stopping By!! *********************************************
– And when the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, Do not weep. And He went forward and touched the funeral bier, and the pallbearers stood still. And He said, Young man, I say to you, arise [from death (Luke 7:13)
This week, our CareBibleStudy class searched through the Bible for a certain bloody relative, who fled for his life, from King Solomon, and took hold of the horns of the altar (Exodus 21:14) for protection…that was on Tuesday!!
And on Thursday, we searched for the best financier in the Bible!!
And of Course, we studied to solve our ‘Super-Faith’ Sunday Riddle, and we identified this super-faith-full female as:
The Widow of Nain: [Just] as He drew near the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out–the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a large gathering from the town was accompanying her. (Luke7:12)
Once Again, Here is Your Super-Faith Sunday Riddle and Our Riddle Solvers:
I had become his nurse, when I found him unwell
At his bedside with tinctures and herbs, I did dwell
I prayed without ceasing; a worried mom, deprived of sleep
When I heard his last breath, How I mourned…How I weeped…
With no mainstay of support, in the fields, will I glean
When my dear one departed, I had no spouse onto lean
But I found the Lord’s mercy at the lamenting procession
Just in time, he had come and revealed his compassion
It was difficult to bear the loss of my spouse ‘Til I crossed the threshold, and found peace in His house Waiting on the Lord made my long-widowed years more bearable As I communicated for God, not by fables, nor parable But instead, I spoke with the conviction of a ‘faith-full’ and fervent witness. My years of fasting were for spiritual fortitude and never for fitness Day and night I worshipped the Lord, as I sheltered in place, Anticipating the day I would behold his sweet face. I refused to go home, much like Bathsheba’s Uriah My testimony was such: I had seen The Messiah!!
-Or what woman, having ten [silver] drachmas [each one equal to a day’s wages], if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and look carefully and diligently until she finds it- (Luke 15:8)
Jesus was an Awesome Story Teller….
In Luke 15:8-10, He Tells a Parable about a woman who had lost a coin…Well this woman had obviously misplaced one of her silver coins and had begun to despair over it. Now when she realized that one of the coins was missing, it must have been in the evening time, because scripture tells us that she needed light…so she lit a lantern.
You see…this woman couldn’t rest because she needed to locate the thing that she had lost…and she needed the light to help her navigate her way through the maze of furniture, in the darkness.
So She began to clean her house…Can you picture her sweeping the dirt floor, bending down to look underneath the furniture and peering behind the doors, emptying baskets, and wiping the dust from the tables. We don’t know how long the woman searched…but it is quite possible that she was up all night…she was steadfast and determined to spot out her lost coin of silver…when suddenly, her eyes finally noticed the sparkle of the coin, reflected by the light. She had found it!!…and what did she do??
She ran to her neighbors houses, awaking them…to share the Good News, so that they might come to celebrate this joyous occasion!!
-And when she has found it, she summons her [women] friends and neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the silver coin which I had lost- (Luke 15:9)
The thing that was lost..was now found!!
So what’s so significant about this story??
Well Jesus has been looking for You…He has been shining His Light of Salvation out for You!!
Let Him Find You!!
And Let His Love come upon you…
because No matter what you’ve done in the past…
…and no matter how long you’ve been running from Him…
Jesus Still Wants You!!
Let His Holy Spirit come in and Clean-Up Your Spiritual House – From top to bottom – From the inside out!!
Receive Jesus Today –Pray This Prayer: I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He took on ALL of my sins on the Cross at Calvary and died in my place.

So Go!!…Run and Tell Your Neighbors that You have been Saved…and invite them to Your Salvation Party!!
Guess What…Jesus Will Be There!!
-Even so, I tell you, there is joy among and in the presence of the angels of God over one [especially] wicked person who repents (changes his mind for the better, heartily amending his ways, with abhorrence of his past sins- (Luke 15:10)

– And He said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, You know (Ezekiel 37:3)
In our lead Scripture, we see that The Lord God had set Ezekiel down in the midst of the valley of dry bones.
It was there that the Lord God commanded Ezekiel to prophesy to the bones, and then the bones came together, and the flesh covered them, but still there was no life in them!!
So The Lord God commanded Ezekiel to prophesy to the breath and spirit, and there the spirit and breath came into the bones and now they lived, and stood upon their feet.👣
Can these dry bones live??
Well, after the hearing of the Word of the Lord, It was revealed to Ezekiel, that they could indeed!!
Now there was another well known prophet who caused a deceased man to stand to his feet…and not because he prophesied, as Ezekiel had done.
But because there remained power and virtue in this prophet’s bones, even after he had been dead and buried, in his own sepulcher.
So much so, that as this (deceased) man was being laid to rest…and as his body was being lowered into the ground…it made contact (in the grave) with this Old Testament prophet’s bones…and immediately, the recently deceased man was revived, and also stood to his feet👣
Can you find thirty (30) books of the Bible in the paragraph below?
Actually, there are thirty-one (31) Bible names, if you can find the variant of one Old Testament prophet.
This is a most remarkable puzzle. It was found by a gentleman in an airplane seat pocket, on a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu, keeping him occupied for hours. He enjoyed it so much, he passed it on to some friends. One friend from Illinois worked on this while fishing from his john boat. Another friend studied it while playing his banjo. Elaine Taylor, a columnist friend, was so intrigued by it she mentioned it in her weekly newspaper column. Another friend judges the job of solving this puzzle so involving, she brews a cup of tea to help her nerves. There will be some names that are really easy to spot. That’s a fact. Some people, however, will soon find themselves in a jam, especially since the book names are not necessarily capitalized. Truthfully, from answers we get, we are forced to admit it usually takes a minister or a scholar to see some of them at the worst. Research has shown that something in our genes is responsible for the difficulty we have in seeing the books in this paragraph. During a recent fund raising event, which featured this puzzle, the Alpha Delta Phi lemonade booth set a new record. The local paper, The Chronicle, surveyed over 200 patrons who reported that this puzzle was one of the most difficult they had ever seen. As Daniel Humana humbly puts it, “The books are all right here in plain view hidden from sight.” Those able to find all of them will hear great lamentations from those who have to be shown. One revelation that may help is that books like Timothy and Samuel may occur without their numbers. Also, keep in mind, that punctuation and spaces in the middle are normal. A chipper attitude will help you compete really well against those who claim to know the answers. Remember, there is no need for a mad exodus; there really are 30 books of the Bible lurking somewhere in this paragraph waiting to be found. God Bless.
If You have already read Part 1, You’ve probably caught on that I am using the word ‘judge’ synonymously with the word ‘check,’ as I am attempting to make the term a little more relevant to Our everyday lives.
In 1 Corinthians 11:31, Paul uses the word judge as he reminds us to ‘check’ ourselves:
-For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world-
And when we ‘check’ ourselves, we realize how much more we need Jesus and how much more We need His Holy Spirit to come and live inside of our hearts to convict Us of Our Sins and to Convince Us of Righteousness and to redeem our souls from condemnation.
Here’s PART 2 of Our Lesson:
-And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle. In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end-
So there Samuel lay as the Lord came and stood, revealing to Samuel all the calamity that would soon befall Eli’s household. – Now I just love it when God says, “Behold, I am about to do a new thing!” I translate it like this…”Hey!! Check this Out!! Some things are about to change around here, so keep your eyes AND your ears opened!!
So…God goes on to tell Samuel that when He gets done…’doing His New Thing’…that BOTH of your ears are gonna tingle, along with everybody else that hears about what’s about to happen in Israel!!
God was Fed Up with Eli and his Two wicked son’s behavior in The Lord’s House…that’s the Church. Now God had already sent Eli a lengthy warning, by a different messenger, in Chapter 2, verses 27-36. So Pastor Eli had been previously ‘checked’ about what was going on in the church with his two Asscociate Ministers – Eli’s Sons, but Eli still refused to check himself and also refused to check his sons.
In Chapter 2, verses 24-25, the writer reveals more to us about Eli’s Pastoring style, as well as his lackadaisical parenting style. We learn that Eli was well aware of what was happening in the church. He had known of it, firsthand…and he had heard All the church gossip regarding Hophi and Phinehas- his two associate ministers. He knew that they were misusing the member’s offerings and Eli also knew that the boys were sleeping with the ‘Ushers’…amongst other things…and yet Eli idlely sat in his chair…beside a post of the church and did nothing about it!
Now, Remember that Eli was the High Priest and ‘THE’ Judge in Israel. It was his job to judge or ‘check’ the sin in Israel, and particularly to ‘check’ the sin within his own household – the Church- but since Eli refused to check and punish his own sons, God ‘checked’ them instead!
So Now…God was sending Samuel forth with a message of judgement upon Eli’s household…only this time, there was no grace period available…God was determined to put an end to the Sin in His House!
The Next Morning, when Samuel arose, he shared the vision with Eli, hiding nothing of it from him, and yet Eli, once again, seems to esteem the prophesy lightly. Look at how he responds to the death sentence upon his household in Chapter 3, verse 18. Eli says, “It is the Lord; let Him do what seems good to Him.”
So of Course…God did do what seemed fit in Chapter 4, verses 17-18. He purged Eli and both his sons from His tabernacle. Both Hophni and Phinehas were killed during a battle against the Philistines…both boys on the same day.
When Eli heard of all that had befallen his two sons, Eli fell off his seat backwards and broke his neck….I’ll bet both his ears were tingling before he hit the pavement. Lol!
Now The writer particularly mentions in verse 18 that Eli was old and heavy…and so this bit of information clues Us in as to what happened to Eli that day. Eli was sitting in his FAVORITE chair, as he did so often, when suddenly, the chair broke under his own weight.
Why do I say FAVORITE?…because of how often the writer mentions that Eli…the high Priest and Judge in Israel was sitting down on the job – instead of Doing God’s Work!
Even So, I’ve often wondered why the writer added this little fact about Eli’s weight upon his death…but it was actually revealed in Chapter 2, verse 29.
Remember that God had originally Warned Eli about how he had dishonored God by in turn, honoring his own sons before and above God…and so here the text tells Us just how Eli had managed to get so heavy.
It’s fairly evident that Eli had also been an active participant in fattening his own flesh on God’s offering…along with Hophni and Phinehas.
So is that why Eli had so long refrained from judging or ‘checking’ his boys??
Was it because Eli had received a longterm, personal benefit from his sons evil behavior in the church??
