But since it seems to have disappeared from my previously published posts, I decided to share this one instead.

My 5 year old son, Hubie has a habit of yelling at our 14 year old daughter, Allie…in total rebellion to her attempts to redirect him.

He Screams…

“Allie!!  I can have WHATEVER I WANT!!”

Wow!!

Listen to the cry of the flesh!!

I know You hear it too!!

…those ear-shattering screams…coming from within Your soul…Crying Out,

“Give me EVERYTHING I want!!”

Give Me chocolate…

Buy me shoes…

Satisfy my sexual cravings…etc, etc…

Give me Everything I want!!!

But Why So Loud??

Well, The Flesh is attempting to drown out the humble cries of the Holy Spirit…Who is gently attempting to redirect Us…and get Us back on the right track with God.

He reminds Us that overindulging in chocolate will only make Us fat…

And those shoes will make Our ‘dogs bark’…

And sex- outside of marriage – will make Us itch and burn!!

Lol!!

The Holy Spirit is right there…gently urging Us to set Our sights on something greater than that which this world can offer…on those things that give Us eternal fulfillment…and on Someone Who can fill Our hearts with all that we thought was missing…and more!!

See Neighbor…Your heart does not have a hole shaped like a Hershey’s bar…nor does it have a shoe-shaped hole…and no style of sex can penetrate this hole. Lol!!

Why??

Because this hole that We all have been foolishly trying to fill is a Jesus-Shaped Hole‼️

Behold…Jesus is standing at the door of Your heart, knocking….

Can You hear Him??

Then…Go Ahead and Welcome Him In, and Give Him first place in your life..

Let His Holy Spirit Lead, Guide, and Direct You into All Truth…and Teach You to set Your sights on an Eternal life with Jesus in Heaven…

Where Ultimately…

You Will Have EVERYTHING That You Want!!

-Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need-
(Matthew 6:33)

God Miniaturizes Mountains!!

It’s another blast from the past (2016), but it’s also another real-life victory that attests to the truth and value of the Scriptures in our real lives!!

– And Jesus answered them, Truly I say to you, if you have faith (a firm relying trust) and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, it will be done (Matthew 21:21)

Well, my mountain manifested as three giant, rotten trees that loomed over my house for several years…and I was worried that they would become weighed down with snow this winter, causing the limbs to begin to break off and fall onto my roof. Unfortunately, I was not financially prepared to contact a professional tree cutter, so I was praying and trusting God for a resolution to my tree troubles.

Well, I was blessed to have a friend come out and cut them down for me…and not because I asked him too, but Because he was concerned about our welfare and the Lord had sent him.

He was no professional tree cutter, so after I made sure that my homeowner’s insurance was in place (lol), I agreed to let him proceed.

Again, he was a friend of mine, so I was also very concerned about his welfare…as he was standing there underneath that massive tree, so I found myself praying for his safety as the chainsaw slowly sliced through the tree…inch by inch.

Of Course the Lord Gave His Angel’s charge over Us to Protect Us and I Thank And Praise God for Miniaturizing my Mountain!!

My God was concerned about Me and my family’s welfare…and He sent Oscar to cut-down that looming threat…from over our heads.

It wasn’t long after the trees had been cut down and the logs neatly stacked along my driveway that I ran into this scripture, which I had written down this past Summer.

–Even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees, so that every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire. (Luke 3:9)

And so, once again I was reminded of just how Loving Our God is, because while the weather was still hot and humid in June, and I was steadily worrying about what would befall Us with those trees…whether it would be drought, or wind, or rain to cause one of them to fall, God had already designed a plan.

When each of those trees had failed to acknowledge God first, for the very moisture that they needed to sustain its life…When they had failed to sprout leaves that would whistle in the wind, magnifying Him…and finally, when they had failed to produce fruit, God cursed them, having already laid the axe to their roots.

It reminds me of when Jesus cursed the fig tree that served no fruit, yet after it withered up and died, it served for fuel.

And now, during these frigid winter days and nights of below freezing temperatures, God has kept our family warm and cozy by the fire, as we most contentedly cast our wood…from those three rotten trees…into our fireplace.

Look At God…As He was caring about my family’s welfare, with such loving kindness, He was also tending to our need for warmth throughout this winter.

God is So Awesome!!…He indeed does miniaturize mountains!!

Thank You Jesus!!

So, My advise to you is this:

I’m doing my best to start this year off right, but it has not been any fun. I was ill for several months in the latter part of 2016 and so my Acupuncturists suspected that I may have a wheat/gluten sensitivity and recommended that I modify my diet, by eliminating those food products from my diet for about 30 days and see if I start to feel better.

We’ll, as of Day 4, I am already feeling much better…that is after I eliminated coffee from my diet, AGAIN!!

I bought my husband the cool new Ninja coffee maker for Christmas and I thought I was a regular brewista, for a few days there. I had been making my husband a caffeinated cup and then I made a decaf for myself, but I just wasn’t able to digest it very well, so I made the difficult decision of adding my tasty morning coffee treat to the dreaded Elimination List...along with sugar!!😩

Well, Although my ears still feel full, and they’re still bugging me in the evening, making it difficult to sleep, I haven’t experienced any dizziness or lightheadedness and my blood pressure has been great…120/80 and lower!!

YAY!! Praise God for His Holy Spirit, as He is my most necessary helper, empowering me to get through these difficult days…teaching me what foods are tolerable for me and giving me the willpower to resist those that aren’t.

What are You planning to eliminate from your diet, or lifestyle for a healthier, happier life??

Is it a trigger food…like my delicious coffee or a longstanding habit like smoking, or maybe your goal is to just drop a few pounds…someone might even want to ‘eliminate’ an individual from your life who has been dragging you down…

Well, whatever the case may be, You are definitely going to need the The Holy Spirit to get You through this thing.

Remember He is Our ‘Tag-Team’ Partner in this thing called Life.

He’s there…just outside the ring of Your Soul, with His arms stretched out over the ropes waiting for You to realize that You cannot win this thing all alone.

Can’t you hear him??…cheering you on, and also reminding you that He wants to help!!

He says:

Don’t forget Me!!

I’m Your Comforter…ready to bandage you up when life has knocked you around!!

Your counselor…when you need advice!!

Your Helper… cause you can’t do it all by yourself!!

This Too Shall Pass!!

Whatever You Are Going Through- Walk Through It By Faith, and Not By Sight!!

Sometimes it seems like we’ve become burdened down with more weight than we can carry, but never forget the our God is a Heavy Load-lifter and a Mind-Regulator, and This Too, Shall Pass!!

It’s been said that as We live this life, We will find that We are either;

Going through troubles..

Just coming out of troubles…

Or about to go through troubles…

For those of You going through today, I would like to Encourage You to Walk through it by Faith, and Not By Sight.

Take a Read through 2 Corinthians Chapter 4:

Paul tells Us that When we go through life’s tribulations; deterioration of the family, divorce and bitter separations, mental and emotional breakdown, financial woes, physical illness and pain, etc., If we will walk through it trusting in, and relying on God, then Our suffering is but a temporary, momentary, affliction…

And This Too Shall Pass!!

No!! Our troubles aren’t going to cease whenever we want them to; it’s not our own timing that’s important, but it’s God’s timing.

-But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God. My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

(Psalms 31:14-15)

Paul says that this current suffering that we are experiencing, in the natural, will produce great gains for Us spiritually, and eternally.

So although we are experiencing suffering in this fleshly tent, and these bodies that we live in are dying and deteriorating daily, Paul reminds Us that the inner man- the Spirit Man- is being refreshed and renewed daily!!

Paul encourages Us, as he reminds us that although there is trouble all around Us…

As we we walk through with God, He will give Us peace…so we’re not stressed-out.

When we are confused and perplexed, He gives us His grace (his kindness, mercy and favor)…so we’re not left in desperation and despair.

When we’re persecuted and it seems we’re fighting battles on every hand, Praise God we’re never forsaken nor defeated, because He causes Us to triumph over Our enemies.

Even when we are weak in the knees with fear and we fall down…it’s the Truth of God’s written Word that renews our Faith and Encourages Us to Get back up and Press On!!

Sometimes life’s roads appear to be rough, and rocky!!

And Yes!! Sometimes those mountains do look insurmountable, but your troubles won’t last always!!

God will give you hinds’ feet!!

And as you journey through these crooked places, with God’s Word in Hand and His Word hidden in Your Heart, you will make spiritual progress and You will make it out alright!!

By Faith, You will reach the summit – leaving your troubles and your sufferings far behind!!

So Be Encouraged Today!!

This Too Shall Pass!!

Waiting ‘Faith-Fully’ for Jesus – A Sinner like Zacchaeus

I was listening to one of my favorite preachers, while driving in the car…and she was speaking about Zacchaeus the publican/tax collector in Luke 19:1-10.

I remembered teaching on the lesson in Sunday school, and My husband, Dewitt taught the kids this cute little song…

“Zacchaeus was a Wee-lil’ man and a Wee-lil’ man was he…He climbed up in a Sycamore tree…For The Lord he wanted to see!”

It was Dewitt’s favorite Sunday School Song, as a boy!

While listening to the broadcast, I was reminded of Dewitt’s boy-like spirit, when he climbed up in a tree to get a glimpse of our President.

It was during the 2008 Presidential Election, and Barack Obama was coming to St. Louis.

The Hubby and I were both beyond thrilled as we headed out for the St. Louis Arch Grounds, clad in our Obama T-shirts and hats.

Now, I normally shy away from large crowds, but I was excited…and really wanted to actively participate in such a historic occasion for Black America, as we were embarking upon electing our First African-American President.

So there we were hanging out with over 50,000 strangers and yet it seemed like we were all a large multicultural family ‘in fellowship,’ as Everyone had come together on one accord to support Barack Obama.

It was an awesome experience!!

So we all stood and waited in the ‘line that didn’t end’ until we cleared the Secret Service entrance to get onto the Arch grounds.

So Dewitt decided he was going to go and get us coffee, and it seemed as if he was taking forever to get back…

And he was, because he was bursting at the seams with excitement.

He was running around, savoring and capturing those historic moments…he was taking photos of everything that moved.

He was so enthusiastic about our new President!!

When he finally made it back onto the Arch grounds, it was just before Barack appeared on stage, so he got an idea to climb up into one of the trees to try to get a glimpse of our next President.

WOW!! What a Weirdo, huh??

So of course…The Secret Service approached him, without guns drawn (Thank God!!) and made him get his overzealous tail down from that tree!

Sounds pretty funny, huh??

But it really did happen…and maybe the idea originated from his Favorite Sunday School Song about Zacchaeus, The Wee-lil Man.

Here’s the Story:

In Luke 19:1-10 Zacchaeus, the tax collector, was overzealous also -like Dewitt- only Zacchaeus was trying to see Jesus!!

Jesus was passing through Jericho, on the way to raise Lazarus from the dead, when this dwarf- like publican, determinedly decided that HE WAS GOING TO SEE JESUS!!

He had heard folks in the crowds talking about this, Jesus; and he believed the stories and wanted to see this One who John the Baptist declared to be, “The Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the World!”…And although he was considered amongst the ‘chiefest’ of sinners, being the chief tax collector, by trade; Zacchaeus believed that by his merely setting eyes on Jesus, his sins could be forgiven.

So upon Jesus’ arrival into town, he ran ahead of the crowd, like a little boy, and climbed up into a Sycamore tree, anticipating that he could get one glimpse of Jesus. Remember Zacchaeus was a very small man; he could not see beyond even those individuals of average height. But he was determined that Nothing would Prevent him from setting his ‘Faith-Filled’ eyes on the Messiah!!

He had never seen Jesus before and was trying to identify which one of the disciples he was. He wanted to be certain about his Saviour…yet he was not expecting to be acknowledged or recognized by Jesus, at all! So when Jesus passed through and looked up at him, calling him out, by Name, saying, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down; for I must stay at your house today.”
Zacchaeus must have been so amazed!!

Now the Hebrew people did not converse with sinners, like Zacchaeus (publicans). I would imagine that besides his own household and his employees, who were required to talk to him, he was not spoken too at all, publicly.

So when Jesus came into town, acknowledging this sinner by name, proclaiming that He MUST stay at his house, Zaccheaus quickly climbed down; with a penitent heart and begins confessing all of his wrongdoing and declaring that he will make retribution for his sin of theft against the poor, according to the Law.

He knows that Jesus will not despise a broken spirit nor a contrite heart, according to the Psalms 51:17. So Zacchaeus empties out before Jesus then eagerly, Welcomes WALKING SALVATION into his home.

Jesus came seeking those that were lost and Zacchaeus placed himself in position to be found by Jesus.

When Jesus returns, will he find You waiting ‘Faith-Fully,’ like Zacchaeus??

Will You be eagerly anticipating His arrival?? And although You’ve been an imperfect person; a sinner, saved by grace, Will You still look confidently for Him??…believing that He will arrive bringing full redemption of your sins; Opening wide The Gates to His Heavenly Home for you saying,

“Well Done My Good and ‘Faith-Full’ Servant!! You Must come to My house today to stay with Me, eternally!!

Hallelujah!!

Nuggets Of Wealth for Life and Health: Probiotic Rich, Fermented Tomatoes!!

Hey Neighbor!

Your Health Must Matter Most To You!!

I am bringing in my tomatoes for canning!!

Last year was my first trial at canning, because I had cucumbers and tomatoes growing out of my ears!!

I had no idea what to do with my abundant harvest, so I called my Aunts, but nobody knew how to can.

So I was forced to learn on my own!

I bought my mason jars, which were very limited in quantities in most stores, so I just ordered them from Amazon!!

I also found this wonderful website called, Mary’s Nest

Mary teaches several different canning techniques, but I particularly like this fermented tomatoes recipe because it’s very rich in probiotics (good bacteria) and therefore great for gut health!!

Anyway, I adapted the recipe to my own preferences…go and check her out on YouTube to get your canning tutorial and the full details for your exact measurements!!

My ingredients:

Cherry Tomatoes (from my garden)
Organic Green onions
2 tablespoons of Redman’s Real Salt (no table salt)
Fresh garlic (diced)
Basil (from my garden)
And fresh Rosemary (from my garden). Filtered/Spring Water (no chlorinated tap water)

Basic Instructions:

Clean your jars and Wash your veggies, remove the vines and poke your tomatoes with a toothpick, alternate your ingredients (as you add them to your jar)

Pour in your Filtered water to cover all ingredients and close it with a metal canning lid or plastic lid!!

Fermenting Process:

You will want to let your canned tomatoes sit out on your countertop for 2-3 days (out of direct sunlight) so that the good bacteria can begin to eat the natural sugars in your tomatoes and grow. Preferable temp in your kitchen would be 65-72 degrees)

Because your ferment is going to begin to release gasses (CO2), You will need to burp it (once daily) while it sits on your countertop. You should begin to see bubbles moving about your jar!!

***This type of canning is not shelf stable, and must be refrigerated after several days!!

Probiotic Rich, Fermented Tomatoes 😋

I like to place a towel underneath my jar, because sometimes your fermenting liquid will begin to release and leak, as the pressure builds!!

If you like, taste your ferment after 2-3 days, then refrigerate it for up to two weeks. It will continue to ferment in your refrigerator, although much more slowly.

If you can wait those 14 days before digging in, you will be amazed at the flavor!!

(Your refrigerated ferment can last up to six months)

Now, I also grow my own lettuce, so when I’m ready for a salad, I just spoon over some of my fermented tomatoes, add some olive oil, and cracked pepper, and I’m in heaven for just a few moments!!

Give it a try, even if you have to go and purchase your own ingredients…you won’t regret it and your tummy will certainly bless you💕

Jesus Has A Warrant Out For Your Salvation!!

-Or what woman, having ten [silver] drachmas [each one equal to a day’s wages], if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and look carefully and diligently until she finds it-
(Luke 15:8)

Hey Neighbor!

Jesus was an Awesome Story Teller….

In Luke 15:8-10, He Tells a Parable about a woman who had lost a coin…Well this woman had obviously misplaced one of her silver coins and had begun to despair over it. Now when she realized that one of the coins was missing, it must have been in the evening time, because scripture tells us that she needed light…so she lit a lantern.

You see…this woman couldn’t rest because she needed to locate the thing that she had lost…and she needed the light to help her navigate her way through the maze of furniture, in the darkness.

So She began to clean her house…Can you picture her sweeping the dirt floor, bending down to look underneath the furniture and peering behind the doors, emptying baskets, and wiping the dust from the tables. We don’t know how long the woman searched…but it is quite possible that she was up all night…she was steadfast and determined to spot out her lost coin of silver…when suddenly, her eyes finally noticed the sparkle of the coin, reflected by the light. She had found it!!…and what did she do??

She ran to her neighbors houses, awaking them…to share the Good News, so that they might come to celebrate this joyous occasion!!

-And when she has found it, she summons her [women] friends and neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the silver coin which I had lost-
(Luke 15:9)

The thing that was lost..was now found!!

So what’s so significant about this story??

Well Jesus has been looking for You…He has been shining His Light of Salvation out for You!!

Stop Running!!

Stop Hiding!!

Let Him Find You!!

And Let His Love come upon you…

because No matter what you’ve done in the past…

…and no matter how long you’ve been running from Him…

Jesus Still Wants You!!

Let His Holy Spirit come in and Clean-Up Your Spiritual House – From top to bottom – From the inside out!!

Receive Jesus Today – Pray This Prayer:
I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He took on ALL of my sins on the Cross at Calvary and died in my place.

Jesus, I welcome you into my heart and want You to be the Lord of my Life. I believe that today I have received Your Holy Spirit, as a security deposit and as a guarantee of My Salvation!!

Jesus, Thank You for Saving Me!!

As Daniel Humana humbly puts it, “The books are all right here in plain view hidden from sight.” Those able to find all of them will hear great lamentations from those who have to be shown. One revelation that may help is that books like Timothy and Samuel may occur without their numbers. Also, keep in mind, that punctuation and spaces in the middle are normal. A chipper attitude will help you compete really well against those who claim to know the answers. Remember, there is no need for a mad exodus; there really are 30 books of the Bible lurking somewhere in this paragraph waiting to be found. God Bless.
