Here’s Another Bible Brain Teaser…This One is kinda Tough!!
There are the names of 22 books of the Bible in this paragraph.
See how many you can find!!

One man from Illinois worked on this while fishing from his john boat. Roy Clark studied it while playing his banjo. Elaine Victs mentioned it in her column once. One woman judges the job to be so involving, she brews a cup of tea to help calm her nerves. There will be some names that are really easy to spot … that’s a fact. Some people will soon find themselves in a jam, especially since the book names are not necessarily capitalized. The truth is, from answers we get, we are forced to admit it usually takes a minister or scholar to see some of them at the worst. Something in our genes is responsible for the difficulty we have. Those able to find all of them will hear great lamentations from those who have to be shown. One revelation may help, books like Timothy and Samuel may occur without their numbers. And punctuation or spaces in the middle are normal. A chipper attitude will help you compete. Remember, there are 22 books of the Bible lurking somewhere in this paragraph.

-And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda. And when she knew Peter“s voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel (Acts 12:13)

– But the father said to his bond servants, Bring quickly the best robe (the festive robe of honor) and put it on him; and give him a ring for his hand and sandals for his feet bring out that [wheat-]fattened calf and kill it; and let us revel and feast and be happy and make merry, Because this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found!
-Luke 15:21-23
Hey Neighbor!
It’s Oldie but a Goodie Friday!!
It’s a reminder that Our Heavenly Father is still awaiting Us with open arms…even when we have made a mess of our lives!!
****************************************
I remember as naive teenager, I couldn’t wait to break free from the nest…that was my parents’ house.
I was the youngest of three and both my older siblings had already left home, had both gotten married and had begun to have children and had homes of their own.
I thought I was also ready and prepared to manage my own life, but like many of us, I had no clue how difficult it would be to make it on my own…and like many I found that without the financial support of my family, I could not make it!!
From time to time, I needed to be able to lean on mother and father… and many times I needed them to hold me up…and because they loved me, they did so, unconditionally…And I thank God for them!
Do you Remember the parable of the prodigal son? Luke 15:11-32
The Father in this story had two sons and his younger son decided that it was time for him to break free from the family nest, so he packed up his things, took his inheritance, and left his father’s house.
Well, this naive young man found that he did not have much success without his father around to lean upon…and although his father had given him his portion of his inheritance, he found himself broke (financially) and broken (of heart)…literally sitting in a messy pig pen.
Luke tells us he was sent to the pigsty by a stranger because he was homeless, he had no where to go…he had sinned and had recklessly spent his fortune and found himself so hungry…and so desperate that instead of feeding the pigs, he would rather have eaten the pigs’ carob pods himself, if it would have diminished the pangs of hunger.
Jesus is our story teller here…teaching us a parable…a lesson about morality…reminding us that when this boy finally came to himself…he remembered his father and the support available to him in his father’s house.
He remembered that in his father’s house, even the servants were not of want and suffered no lack… yet here he was…a young man who had been accustomed to an especially extravagant lifestyle, was now living in a total state of desperation.
Jesus tells us that there had come a famine and this boy had fallen behind and was in a state of great want…He wanted to go home!!
He had found himself in need of many things…things that his father could provide for him…safety, food, shelter, clothing etc…But what he needed most of all was unconditional love, although he had made such a terrible mess of his life…
Well, if you know how the story ends, We learn that this prodigal son did receive the unconditional love of his father, who had welcomed his son back home with opened arms.
Are you ready to come home??
Have you yet come to reality, finding yourself sitting in the ‘mess-of-a-life’ that you have made?
Have you fallen behind, dragging your feet in the guilt and condemnation of sin, because Satan has lied to you, telling you that you are not worthy of God’s love?
Well the truth is: You don’t have to wallow in that pigsty any longer!!
God has been watching and waiting for you to come to yourself and to get up and drag yourself on back home, where you can always lean on Him.
He will hold you up and stabilize Your Life, because He Loves You!!
He is waiting and will receive you with His Unconditional Love…all you have to do is just Repent…turn away from the sin that has enslaved you for a time…and return to God Today!
Your Loving Father awaits You with His Arms Wide-Open!!

ABOUT THAT time Herod (Agrippa) the king stretched forth his hands to afflict and oppress and torment some who belonged to the church (assembly). And he killed James the brother of John with a sword (Acts 12:1)
Hey Neighbor!
Last week, we talked about Herod (Agrippa’s) tragic death in Caesarea, where he was struck down by an angel of the Lord and was eaten by worms.
Agrippa was a cold-hearted, brutal King, who resisted God and did not give Him his due Glory.
Before his death, Agrippa took pleasure in persecuting the apostles!!
In fact, He killed James, and he even jailed Peter, having fully intended to kill him also!!
What a wicked man from a wicked family of Kings!!
Agrippa’s treacherous grandfather, Herod the Great, sought after the baby Jesus, with intent to kill him, and Agrippa’s incestuous uncle killed one of the last Old Testament prophets!!

Can You name That Prophet?? And……..
Can You also Name Agrippa’s Uncle (King) Who killed that Prophet??

I once made a remark about the hidden books of the Bible. It was a lulu; kept people looking so hard for facts…and for others it was a revelation. Some were in a jam, especially since the names of the books were not capitalized. But the truth finally struck home to numbers of our readers. To others it was a real job. We want it to be a most fascinating few moments for you. Yes, there will be some really easy ones to spot. Others may require judges to help them. I will quickly admit it usually takes a minister to find one of them, and there will be loud lamentations when it is found. A little lady says she brews a cup of tea so that she can concentrate better. See how well you can compete. Relax now, for there really are sixteen names of books of the Bible in this paragraph.
