Trivia Thursday – Name That Midnight Move!!

But at midnight there was a shout, Behold, the bridegroom! Go out to meet him (Matthew 25:6)

Hey Neighbor!

No man may know the day nor the hour when our Lord and Savior shall return, but we do know that we shall be changed in a twinkling of an eye.

Now in the parable above, The bridegroom came for his bride at midnight, i.e. in the middle of the night, which reminds me of a song where the narrator speaks and declares that, “God moves at midnight!”

So as I sat and thought about that, I was reminded of at least two occasions where God ‘Saved’ the ‘day’ 😂…When He showed up at the stroke of Midnight, to set the captives free.

Can You recall an occasion, in the Bible, where God moved at Midnight??

  3. Right on Target 🎯
And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him (Matthew 25:2)

  4. Hey Tam,

“…And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed…”
    Acts 16:25-26

I was thinking about this, seems I read it lately in someone’s post.

  5. In the middle of it all, God moves. In the midst of what becomes, God’s presence moves. At midnight, in the dead of night, “strongholds are still being moved;” this is a move, of God! My contribution, blessings!

  7. “And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.”
    Exodus 12:29

this is the first one I thought of, I need to think about the other one 😀
