It’s Thanksgiving!! – Send up High Praises to God

Let the saints be joyful in glory:
let them sing aloud upon their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
and a twoedged sword in their hand;-
(Psalms 149:5-6)

*****************************************

Hey Neighbor!

We’re still continuing our ‘oldie’ series on, ‘Will Jesus Find You Faith-Full?”

Today’s post was written many years ago. It was Thanksgiving, and I was recovering from the flu!!

There was still pain and weakness on the external woman, but the Spirit of the Lord was very vibrant and faith-fully strong 💪🏾 within!!

Praise God!!

Here is Your Oldie for This Thanksgiving Weekend!!

Enjoy🤩

***************************************

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I found myself singing upon my sick bed last night as I read about Paul and Silas. I came home Tuesday night with a headache and aches and pains after our Bible Study class at the Center. I got into my bed, immediately…hoping that I could take my herbs and sleep it off and be ready to do my grocery shopping on Wednesday…but that didn’t happen. So my daughter, Allie made the grocery list and Hubby took care of the shopping on Wednesday afternoon. Praise God! I am feeling better today…the aches and pains are gone, but the headache still lingers…Pray for Me!

So as I was laying there, in pain….reading about Paul and Silas (Acts 16:25-37)….and how they praised God through their pain…. I opened my mouth in song, like they did in the inner prison.

Paul and Silas had been falsely accused and had been beaten by the Romans, with rods…so terribly that Verse 23 says they received many blows..(somebody lost count.) Then, they were thrown into the lowest part of the prison.

So here they are…in a cold, damp, dark (pitch black) dungeon…locked in stocks. Now I always imagined stocks to be shackles and chains…but Nope! Paul and Silas were bound into a wooden apparatus that locks the feet down at the ankles into a very small opening, as to prevent them from escaping. OUCH!!

Yet, at midnight, when they could have been resting, these “Faith-Full” guys who were…bloody, bruised, and dreadfully sore…and locked down in stocks…started praying.
Then they broke out in song, with something like…
“Let the Church say Amen!”

WOW!! Really??

Now Paul and Silas were not whispering…remember, they were in the inner prison (dungeon) and Verse 25 tells us that the other prisoners could hear them praising, all the way from the dungeon. So Paul and Silas were kicking up some “High Praises!” Wow!!

Paul and Silas prayed and worshipped, loudly till God sent a ‘Great’ Earthquake…shaking the foundations of the prison…opening the prison doors, and loosing all the prisoners from their shackles and stocks.

God had sent Paul and Silas to Rome to Preach the Good News about Jesus Christ, yet the Romans had locked them up to hinder the Word from going forth. But God used this opportunity to save the whole jailhouse! Notice that when the prisoners were loosed, they didn’t break out in a mad escape…The prisoners were in Awe of God and had probably chimed in with the second verse,
“God has Spoken, Let the Church say Amen!”

So as the story goes, the jailer (who had Paul and Silas locked in stocks) was converted and baptized…and Paul and Silas were released from Prison by the magistrates, the next day.

So…When Jesus returns, Will He find You “Faith-Fully” Praising….like Paul and Silas??

Will you press past Your pain and give God His Glory, even when life has dealt you a bad hand??

Will you press past Your pain and give God His Glory, even when your body is broken down and racking with pain??

Psalm 149 says we can cut through the pain with our Praise and our Two-edged sword…that Sword is the Word of God!!

I pray that You will be blessed on This Thanksgiving day as you share this day with Your Family and Friends.

Don’t forget to Give God His Glory Today!!

Let the Family Break out in Song…Sending up A High Praise to Our “Faith-Full” God!!

Till Tomorrow,

God Loves You and So Do I!!

This Too Shall Pass!!

Whatever You Are Going Through- Walk Through It By Faith, and Not By Sight!!

-We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.
(2 Corinthians 4:8-9)

Hey Neighbor!

Sometimes it seems like we’ve become burdened down with more weight than we can carry, but never forget the our God is a Heavy Load-lifter and a Mind-Regulator, and This Too, Shall Pass!!

Here’s Another Oldie-but- a-Goodie!!

*************************************

It’s been said that as We live this life, We will find that We are either;

Going through troubles..

Just coming out of troubles…

Or about to go through troubles…

For those of You going through today, I would like to Encourage You to Walk through it by Faith, and Not By Sight.

Take a Read through 2 Corinthians Chapter 4:

Paul tells Us that When we go through life’s tribulations; deterioration of the family, divorce and bitter separations, mental and emotional breakdown, financial woes, physical illness and pain, etc., If we will walk through it trusting in, and relying on God, then Our suffering is but a temporary, momentary, affliction…

And This Too Shall Pass!!

No!! Our troubles aren’t going to cease whenever we want them to; it’s not our own timing that’s important, but it’s God’s timing.

-But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God. My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

(Psalms 31:14-15)

Paul says that this current suffering that we are experiencing, in the natural, will produce great gains for Us spiritually, and eternally.

So although we are experiencing suffering in this fleshly tent, and these bodies that we live in are dying and deteriorating daily, Paul reminds Us that the inner man- the Spirit Man- is being refreshed and renewed daily!!

Paul encourages Us, as he reminds us that although there is trouble all around Us…

As we we walk through with God, He will give Us peace…so we’re not stressed-out.

When we are confused and perplexed, He gives us His grace (his kindness, mercy and favor)…so we’re not left in desperation and despair.

When we’re persecuted and it seems we’re fighting battles on every hand, Praise God we’re never forsaken nor defeated, because He causes Us to triumph over Our enemies.

Even when we are weak in the knees with fear and we fall down…it’s the Truth of God’s written Word that renews our Faith and Encourages Us to Get back up and Press On!!

Sometimes life’s roads appear to be rough, and rocky!!

And Yes!! Sometimes those mountains do look insurmountable, but your troubles won’t last always!!

God will give you hinds’ feet!!

And as you journey through these crooked places, with God’s Word in Hand and His Word hidden in Your Heart, you will make spiritual progress and You will make it out alright!!

By Faith, You will reach the summit – leaving your troubles and your sufferings far behind!!

So Be Encouraged Today!!

This Too Shall Pass!!

Trivia Thursday – Name That Disciple!!

But whenever you go into a town and they do not receive and accept and welcome you, go out into its streets and say, Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we are wiping off against you; yet know and understand this: the kingdom of God has come near you (Luke 10:10)

Hey Neighbor!

All is well!!

And today, I have another Bible Trivia Question for you!!

In the text above, We see where Jesus instructs his disciples to shake the dust (from that city) off of their ‘peace shoes’ as they departed from a city or town where the ‘Good News of Peace’ was not welcomed, nor received.

*******************************************

Who were the first ‘disciples’ of Christ who ‘shook the dust from their feet,’ refusing to even carry forth the dust from such a town of unwelcoming persecutors??

Can You Name These (2) Disciples??

How To Get An Upgrade from God: Try Faith-fullness!!

-AND JOSEPH was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, the captain and chief executioner of the [royal] guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had brought him down there-
(Genesis 39:1)

Hey Neighbor!

Last Friday, I introduced you to the, ‘Will Jesus Find You Faith-full Series from 2014.

And Here is Part II: Faith-full Joseph!!

Enjoy🤩

*****************************************

And so there was Joseph; the boy with the dream…a vision from God that one day he would be a great man, that others would bow down before.

He had been sold into slavery by his envious brothers, and he’d been stripped of his coat of many colors.

But now he’s in Egypt, living in servitude, amongst foreigners and their foreign gods. The Egyptians did not know The One, True God, The Great ‘I Am!!’

But Joseph knew Him and continued to draw near unto God.

So..now God was doing a new thing in the life of the young boy, Joseph, who had come from a family of means.

Remember, Joseph’s beloved Father, Israel was a very wealthy man, Yet now Joseph had become a slave, in Potiphar’s house.

Here’s Joseph’s Story:

After they loosed his shackles, Potiphar may have positioned Joseph outside, cleaning the horse stables and stalls; but Joseph was faith-full…so The Lord blessed the horses.

Then Potiphar may have promoted Joseph to a the job of ‘house slave,’ where he had him cleaning kitchens and bathrooms…but Joseph was faith-full…so the Lord blessed the health of the whole household…as the conditions had became more sanitary…and thus there were fewer diseases and illnesses amongst the family.

Then Potiphar started to take notice saying, “There’s something special about this boy!”

So now Potiphar upgrades, ‘Faith-Full’ Joseph to the Cook….Then to the Butler…And Potiphar, still catching on…realizes that the ‘God’ that this boy serves, is giving Joseph special favor.

And when this boy steals away after work, Joseph goes into his ‘Secret Place’ to worship… Maybe that place was in the servant’s quarters, or maybe it was in the stables, where Joseph first began!!

But now, Potiphar has no doubt that Joseph’s God is blessing everything Joseph puts his hands to….and is therefore blessing Potiphar and all of his household.

So Potiphar upgrades Joseph again!!

This time, Potiphar places him in the vacancy of “Supervisor” of All of his household, and now Joseph is no longer a slave, but gainfully employed as the ‘Acting, Captain and Chief Executioner of the Royal Guard’ in Egypt.

Why ‘Acting??’

Because, Potiphar has decided to sit back and reap the benefits of having the ‘blessing boy’ in the house. Potiphar basically resigns himself of all of his own duties and responsibilities to Pharaoh..leaving Joseph completely and totally in charge!!

Verse 5 tells us that Potiphar only had concern about what it was that he (Potiphar) wanted to eat…Wow!!

Look at God!!

Although Joseph’s brothers had stripped him of his coat, they couldn’t strip him of his Comforter, God!!

Verse 2 tells us that God was with Joseph all the time, because Joseph was faith-full to God, and Joseph stayed in relationship with God, and He sought after God, through prayer and worship.

Joseph, although separated from home, and all that he was familiar with, continually meditated on God’s words, and consistently believed God for the eventual fulfillment of his dream– by faith.

So when Mrs. Potiphar comes along, Saying, “Joseph, Since You’re in charge of All of my household…Now, I want you to take charge of Me, too!”

Uh-Oh!!

So Sexual Harassment Started in Egypt, Huh??

Joseph was appalled to even have considered such an abomination before God!!

This perverse, and wicked woman, who had no morals…no scruples…and had absolutely no loyalty to her husband, (Joseph’s boss), began harassing Joseph on the job!!

The Bible says that Joseph was a ‘fine-looking’ young man, and Mrs. Potiphar had taken notice of him!!

She was tempting Joseph at the water cooler…but Joseph remained faith-full!!

Then she would conveniently make her way to the servant’s break room, during his lunch hour….but Joseph still remained faith-full!!

Then she showed up at the printer, every time he went to make copies…but Joseph remained more faith-full!!

Mrs. Potiphar was a real stalker…but not for God!! Lol

I can imagine that Joseph had to be very alert, and to keep watch for Mrs. Potiphar’s whereabouts, in attempts to duck and dodge her…but she finally caught him alone..and Mrs. Potiphar tried to seduce Joseph!!

But Joseph shunned her, breaking loose from her grip so quickly, that he left his coat in her hands.

Man!! This brother has a problem keeping his coats!! 🤣

Joseph ran away from her thinking…

How could Mrs. Potiphar expect him to do such an ungrateful and disloyal thing to his Master, who had entrusted his entire household into Joseph’s hands??…

How could she expect him to do such a wicked and unclean thing against his own body and his soul…and most of all, against his God- Who had shown Joseph Great Favor in Egypt??

So Joseph remained faith-full to God, and to his Boss. He resisted the temptation to cheat with Potiphar’s wife. He refused to lie in the face of his master, day after day, while secretly, stealing private moments with Mrs. Potiphar.

But as the story goes…Joseph was falsely accused and convicted of attempted rape… And thrown into the prison.

But God was still with Joseph, even behind the Prison walls, and God still blessed his hands there too…and eventually, Joseph was released from jail.

Now, Lo and Behold, at some point, Potiphar’s Job Position had also became available, and can you guess who had the best skills, abilities, and the most favor to fill that Job Vacancy??

Yes!! It was Joseph!!

And because Joseph remained ‘Ever-Faith-Full,’ to God, Yes!! God Upgraded Joseph!!

Now When Jesus comes back…Will He find You ‘Faith-Full’ on Your job??

If so…God will also bless You with a New Position….’til he eventually rewards you with your Heavenly Upgrade!!

Let Him Upgrade You, Today!!

His master said to him, Well done, you upright (honorable, admirable) and faithful servant! You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little; I will put you in charge of much. Enter into and share the joy blessedness) which your master enjoys-
(Matthew 25:21)

Til Tomorrow….When We will discuss the ‘Faith-Fullness’ of
Paul and Silas – In Prison

Trivia Thursday- Name That Judahite-King!!

– But the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the people of Judah could not drive out; so the Jebusites dwell with the people of Judah at Jerusalem to this day. (Joshua 15:63)

-But the Benjamites did not drive out the Jebusites who inhabited Jerusalem; the Jebusites dwell with the Benjamites in Jerusalem to this day. (Judges 1:21)

Hey Neighbor!

In the two scriptures above, we see that neither the Judahites, nor the Benjamites were able to completely drive the Jebusites from the ‘promised’ land, that was allotted to them via Joshua.

********************************************

But Can you Name the ‘Judahite- King’ who did finally overcome these very inhabitants, who had willfully resisted God’s people, and remained as trespassers within their Promised Territory??

Super-Faith Sunday Riddle – Who Was She??

Hey Neighbor!

It’s Sunday, November 6th!!

Can You Solve My Riddle??

******************************************

Her husband was a man of valor and might
Who delivered forty years, making Israel’s burdens light
It was her dad who inspired him to fight, and he valiantly won this young girl’s hand
He was a good husband; even consenting when his wife went to her daddy, asking him for land
She was not doubtful, nor discontented, like the woman who Jesus had met at the well,
But was bold and quick to ask him to quench the exhaustive thirst in the land where she’d dwell
And because she was a faith-full daughter, consenting to wed the young warrior, and because she failed to complain
He blessed her with double: two springs that freely flowed, forever satisfying the thirst within his daughter’s parched territory and terrain.

Solution Saturday Answer: The Widow of Zarephath

– For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: The jar of meal shall not waste away or the bottle of oil fail until the day that the Lord sends rain on the earth (1Kings 17:14)

Hey Neighbor!

This week, our CareBibleStudy Class searched through the Bible for the name of a certain King’s wife, and the blind prophet, who revealed sorrowful news concerning the queen’s sickly son…That was on Tuesday!!

Now On Thursday, we were searching for a certain king, who was so desperate for a word from God, that he disguised himself and partook in a seance, in attempts to communicate with the Lord’s deceased prophet!!

And of course, we searched for our super-faith-full female: a widow with a heart for God, who obediently sacrificed what she had in her cupboard, to feed the man of God!!

This Woman was: The Faith-full Widow of Zarephath!!

And just in case, you missed Sunday’s Riddle, here is that link, and the riddle recap!! ******************************************

She heard a Word from The Lord, He was saying, ‘Sustain.’
Though her own provision was nil, cause the Lord withheld rain
She was not a woman of strength, she was wearied and weak
Yet she gave what she had, to attend to the meek
God had sent his servant, asking her to provide
When she’d given up hope, she presumed they would die
How could God say ‘sustain,’ with just a handful of meal
Yet He showed himself mighty through this man from Israel
Though death did arrive, and long was the drought
God’s provision was continuous, and she never ran out.

Will Jesus Find You “Faith-Full??”

-However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [persistence in] faith on the earth-
(Luke 18:8)

Back in 2014, I did a series on some faith-full folks from the Bible, and I also included a story of faith about my girlfriend, Erica.

Here’s The intro to the series and Faith-full, Erica’s Story.

Enjoy!!

*******************************************

Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without Faith, we cannot please The Lord….So when Jesus comes back, will He find us and say…
Well done my good and “Faith-Full’ servant!??

This week we are going to look at a few “Faith-Full” bible characters.
Now just to remind you…these bible characters were real people with real problems…just like you and me…but they overcame by faith…and so do We!! Hallelujah!!

These are some of the bible characters we will look at this week:

Tuesday’s Lesson: Joseph
-Genesis 39-41

Will Jesus come back and find you faithful ‘at work’ like Joseph??
-Even though he was the only God fearing believer on the job.

Wednesday’s Lesson: Paul and Silas – Acts 16:16-17

Will Jesus come back and find you like Paul and Silas?? Imprisoned and yet ‘faithfully’ praising

Thursday’s Lesson: Zacchaeus
-Luke 19:1-9

Will Jesus come back and find you
like Zacchaeus??
Faithfully, Sitting up on the highest tree branch trying to
‘Get a Glimpse of Jesus.’

Friday’s Lesson: Elijah
– 1 Kings 18-19

Will Jesus come back and find you running like Elijah??….Running so faithfully for God, that you’ve outpaced the King’s horses and chariots??

Monday’s Lesson (today): My friend, Erica
-ESL/2014

Will Jesus come back and find you like my friend, Erica?? Faithfully, on her way to bible study after a car accident??

Here’s her story:

Erica was on her way to Tuesday night Bible Study at her church. She was driving down the highway with her daughter in the passenger’s seat, when another driver sideswiped her car, leaving her spinned-out in the road!!

Praise God they were unharmed, physically, but they were both in-shock, and shaken-up. The police officer came onto the scene, did his job, and gave her a copy of the paperwork.

Again, they were physically unharmed, but the passenger’s side mirror was now half gone and the glass mirror was shattered into pieces.

Now, Erica was still a nervous wreck, but praising God that He spared their lives; and her daughter was still visibly upset, but getting it together when the officer sends her on her way.

Now, Does Erica turn the car around to go back home??

No!!

She keeps her car in the east-bound lane heading for her church!!

Wow!!

What kind of Faith is that??….And Where can I get some!!

‘Cause I would have taken my wimpy, whiny tail AND my baby back home where I felt safe…as we used to say, ‘with the quickness!’

I would have been pressing to get home, where my husband would be, to hold me and tell me it was all going to be alright..

But this girl stays on the designated path…Still driving and praying and wiping tears as she looks, from time to time, over at her daughter and the remnants of the side mirror.

She presses to get her ‘Faith-Full’ tail to the House of The Lord…her Strong Tower!!

-The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the [consistently] righteous man [upright and in right standing with God] runs into it and is safe, high [above evil] and strong-
(Prov 18:10)

Hallelujah!!

Erica ran into the church and found safety in the arms of Jesus!!
She also found the loving support and the helping hands of her Pastor and her church family.

That’s how I want to be when Jesus finds me, “Faith-Full” and strong in The Lord…like Erica!!

So, I hope Erica’s story encouraged you today! Don’t let the devil put you on a Detour…Keep Pressing On, By Faith!!

So come back tomorrow for Tuesday’s Lesson where we will look at “Faith-Full,”Joseph. – On the Job, in Egypt, where he was the only believer.

Until then…Remember

God Loves You and So Do I!!

Trivia Thursday- Name That King/Name That Prophet!!

Hey Neighbor!

This week, Our Trivia Tuesday question pointed to a certain wife, Queen Ano, wife of Jeroboam, who disguised herself while enroute to see the Lord’s prophet in Shiloh.

Now, We know that King Jeroboam was an exceptionally wicked king, who made the people in Israel to sin by worshipping the golden calves that he placed in Dan and Bethel, in addition to his many other abhorrent sins!!

Realizing that God had given him up, Jeroboam devised this plan in order to receive a Word from God, via God’s man, via deception!!

King Jeroboam had advised his wife to disguise herself, hoping that Ahijah would prophesy good news concerning their sickly son, but this plot of deception, and Ano’s false identity were both revealed to the blind prophet, Ahijah, by The Lord God!!

This story reminds me of another king in Israel, who also put on a disguise and sought a word from a dead prophet, because God had also given up on him, and refused to talk him!!

*******************************************
Can You Name This King??

Can You also Name That (Dead) Prophet??

Nuggets Of Wealth For Life and Health – Fermented Garlic, Infused in Honey🍯

-And He said to me, Son of man, eat this scroll that I give you and fill your stomach with it. Then I ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth (Ezekiel 3:3)

Hey Neighbor!

Your Health Must Matter Most To You!!

It’s cold and flu season, so now is the time to prepare your home remedies and keep them on hand, just in case!!

My #1 staple to survive the winter is a fermented garlic infused in honey!! 😋

Here are your ingredients:
Fresh Garlic and Raw/Local Honey

And that’s it!!

It’s so easy to make; just smash your garlic cloves with a large knife and remove the peels.

Toss those smashed individual cloves into your mason jar, and pour enough honey over them to cover everything.

Stir it well and seal your jar tightly!!

Instead of shaking the contents, I find that it’s much easier to invert my well sealed jar several times throughout the day, so that everything continues to mix and integrate.

You will need to burp your jar daily, because things are going to get bubbly, as the garlic ferments and feeds on the natural sugars in the honey!!

You can keep your container in a cool dark place, after one week, where it can fully ferment for up to 30 days; but if you’re like me, you’re going to be in this jar nonstop, after 7 days!!

I put garlic in nearly everything, anyway, so I am definitely a garlic lover, but even I can’t eat it straight…it’s just too poweful!!

But after a week, this stuff tastes great and it makes the honey taste better than it did before…and of course the added benefits to this stuff is that it is great for the gut, it’s anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and also anti-inflammatory!!

It doesn’t get any better than this!!

You will be able to eat the cloves, without pain and suffering…and you can add the honey to your hot tea, steel cut oatmeal, and/or add it to your homemade salad dressing!!

However you decide to use your ferment, each time you indulge, you will be boosting your immunity and warding off the effects of cold and flu season!!

Enjoy!!

Trivia Tuesday- Name That Prophet/Name That Wife!!

-Now a day before Saul came, the Lord had revealed to Samuel in his ear, Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him to be leader over My people Israel….(1Samuel 9:15)

Hey Neighbor!

In the lead scripture above, we see where The Lord forewarned Samuel, the Prophet, of the coming of a man, who would soon become the first anointed king of Israel.

Saul had come seeking the prophet/seer, out of concern for his father (Kish’s) lost donkeys.

We learn that Samuel was pleased to share this good news, and good fortune with Saul, as he poured the anointing oil over his head, and as he kissed Saul, the ‘anointed’ king.

Now much later in Israel, a woman would also be found seeking The Lord’s prophet, in Israel.

This woman was the wife of an ‘anointed’ king, who was dressed in such a way, as to disguise her identify.

This woman had come, seeking the prophet, as to learn the fate of her very sick son.

Now although she was dressed ‘incognito,’ this prophet, who was blind, identified the woman as the king’s wife, as soon as he heard her footsteps!!

This was because the Lord had forewarned the prophet of this woman’s upcoming arrival into Shiloh.

Now unfortunately the prophet was charged with some very burdensome news for the king’s wife; and thus, the man of God went on to prophesy the immediate death of the woman’s child, upon her return to her own city!!
********************************************

Who was this (blind) Prophet, that was charged with such heavy news??

And who was this woman/wife, who had come to the man of God, dressed ‘incognito?’

Solution Saturday Answer: Mary- Sister to Martha and Lazarus!!

-Now while they were on their way, it occurred that Jesus entered a certain village, and a woman named Martha received and welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister named Mary, who seated herself at the Lord“s feet and was listening to His teaching (Luke 10:38)

Hey Neighbor!

This past week, our CareBibleStudy Class searched through the Bible for Relatives; We were looking for the Name of the Father, who rebuilt Jericho, and we also found the names of his two sons who died, due to Joshua’s curse….That was Tuesday’s trivia!!

On Thursday, I attended a funeral, in support of a friend; therefore I did not post for Trivia Thursday.

Now Sunday’s Super-Faith Riddle was a little tough, but we did finally decided that this super-faith-full female was: Mary, Martha and Lazarus’ sister.

-This Mary was the one who anointed the Lord with perfume and wiped His feet with her hair. It was her brother Lazarus who was [now] sick (John 11:2)

– When Mary came to the place where Jesus was and saw Him, she dropped down at His feet, saying to Him, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died (John 11:32)

– Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. (John 12:3)

Now, here is Sunday’s Riddle (10/23) once again, just in case you missed out!!

*********************************************

She was postured like Saul with Gamaliel, but it wasn’t the law that he taught.
She would not be alarmed by the others in class, found to be heavily burdened and distraught
The yoke she had chosen, was easily borne, and its’ weight was extremely light
Like a moth to a flame, she was drawn to her friend, for his aura was intensely bright
She would not be separated from her master, even when others chastised her and did chide
For he was her vine, and as the teacher’s branch, she had learned to remain and abide.
She was found intensely focused, not idle; and in front of the class she found rest
She raise her hand, and out came, ‘Jesus!!’ The Perfect answer to ace EVERY test!!

*******************************************

And Here Are Our 🏆Riddle Solvers:

🥇Pat 👏👏👏

*******************************************

Now, there are several Mary’s mentioned in the Bible, i.e. Mary, the mother of Jesus, Mary, the wife of Cleophas, and also Mary Magdalene.

Mary Magdalene was a very good answer for this riddle, guessed by both Anneta and Wenda, but we were specifically looking for Mary, the Sister; who we can undoubtedly find at Jesus’ feet, whenever she is mentioned in the Bible!!

Super-Faith Sunday Riddle-Who Was She??

Hey Neighbor!

It’s Sunday, October 30th, and Here is Your Super-faith-full female of the week!!

Let’s Hope You Can Solve My Riddle??

*******************************************

She heard a Word from The Lord, He was saying, ‘Sustain.’
Though her own provision was nil, cause the Lord withheld rain
She was not a woman of strength, she was wearied and weak
Yet she gave what she had, to attend to the meek
God had sent his servant, asking her to provide
When she’d given up hope, she presumed they would die
How could God say ‘sustain,’ with just a handful of meal
Yet He showed himself mighty through this man from Israel
Though death did arrive, and long was the drought
God’s provision was continuous, and she never ran out.

How To Be A ‘Stalker’ for God!!

Hey Neighbor!

Last Friday, I posted a story about my friend Gail, who, many moons ago, encouraged me to introduce more Trivia into my blog.

Now Gail and I worked together in St. Louis and we had become great friends, but after I separated from that company, somehow she and I lost contact.

The Good News is that Gail sought me out until she found me, and here is that story!!

It’s Just Another Oldie for Your Friday!!

Enjoy🤩

****************************************

Ok, So I was checking my email on a Tuesday morning, when I saw a message that read:

‘Looking for you.’

Now I certainly recognized the name…in fact, her name was very familiar to me because Gail and I had worked together, downtown St. Louis.

We were such good friends, that the people on the job thought I smoked cigarettes, because whenever it was time for Gail to go on her cigarette break, I was right there, in the midst of the smoke!! Lol

Now, Gail was so determined to locate me, that she had recently sent a letter to my house, probably a couple of months prior…just like a real stalker, huh??

The letter read: I hope this letter finds you well. I don’t know how we lost contact, but here is my number. Give me a call.

I was so glad to receive Gail’s letter, because I ‘loved me some’ Gail!!….but it had been a long night for me, so I set the letter on my nightstand and decided I would call her on the weekend, when she wasn’t working…so we could really talk.

So ‘busily, being busy,’….That’s how I get……I forgot!!

Then, later in that month, I decided that there was too much clutter on my nightstand, so I went through everything and rediscovered the letter.

Now that was on a weekday morning, in the afternoon and I knew she would probably be at work, so once again, I told myself, “Wait until the weekend.”

Now this time, my husband was ‘busily being busy,’ when he removed my important mail from the kitchen table…and of course, whenever you ask him if he remembers where he moved something, his standard answer is “I didn’t see it!!”

Wow!!

So now I’m thinking…What do I do Now??…..I didn’t know what to do…and most likely, hubby threw the letter away, unintentionally, even though he “never saw it.” Lol

So I thought, “I’m stuck!!”

Now, Fast Forward back to our Tuesday….So I’m checking my email and I click to open her message, where Gail goes on to say how she had been searching high and low, to find me.

Then, She simply left her phone number, asking me to give her a call…Sooooo, this time…I called her right away. Yay!!

So, Gail and I had a great time catching up…and we’ve been staying in communication by phone and text. We’ve tentatively planned to get together and I’m so excited!!

She’s been enjoying the blog…and she recently sent me a text requesting more Bible Trivia. Wow…a demanding stalker too, huh??

So you may be wondering where I’m going with this….In our modern day, hi- tech society of cell phones, tablets, computers, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and also U.S Mail!! We really don’t have an excuse for failing to communicate with our friends and loved ones.

Sure…. I know All of us have had an experience where you’ve gone into the wireless store to buy a new phone and have lost all your contacts…But we don’t have to get stuck there!!

God dropped my name into Gail’s Spirit….Hallelujah!!

My Name was on the Mind of God!

Wow!!

Let me Just think about that for a moment…

…And without delay, she began searching for me and left no stone, unturned, till she found me!!

God was planning a ‘Divine Set-up.’

Just like the meeting of Samuel and Saul…Saul didn’t know Samuel when he went looking for him..and Samuel didn’t know Saul from Adam either…lol.

But God knew Saul, and dropped his name into Samuel’s Spirit!

Both Saul and Samuel were walking in obedience to God…right into His Divine Setup…and it was Awesome!!
[Go back and read Saul’s Story on the blog- You’ll find it under, ‘Bible Trivia- Saul’s Search’]

So When God drops a name into your Spirit, walk in obedience and be a “Stalker for God!”….Just Like Gail!!

Seriously though… Maybe God wants to use Your testimony to encourage a lost friend, or Maybe He wants You to pray for -or- with a former co-worker, or just Maybe He wants You to tell someone who has fallen away from Christ: “Jesus Still loves You, and You are not alone!”

What Name has God Dropped into Your Spirit??

Go!!….and Don’t delay!!

Let God Divinely, Set You Up.

As Always….Remember,

God Loves You and So Do I!!

Nuggets Of Wealth For Life and Health – How to Make A Healthy, Probiotic-Rich Soda!!

Hey Neighbor!

Your Health Must Matter Most To You!!

As I was learning how to preserve my vegetable harvest last year, I also learned how to make ‘soda-like’ probiotic-rich beverages, with the use of a ferment starter, called a ‘Ginger Bug.’

So You say: Tam, What the heck is a Ginger Bug??

It’s just fresh ginger, diced, and sweetened with organic cane sugar. It’s the base ingredient that you will need in order to make a homemade ginger ale, ginger beer, or any flavored probiotic rich ‘soda-like’ drink that you prefer!!

And, good news…there is no need to add any artificial carbonation, and there is no alcohol involved in the making of this homemade, fermented soda!!

How to make Your Ginger Bug in just Just Five Easy steps!!

1. Dice up 2 heaping tbsp of your fresh ginger and place this into a clean mason jar. (I prefer to keep the peel on my ginger, but peel it, if you prefer.)
2. Add 2 tbsp of filtered water to your mason jar
3. Add 1 tbsp of pure cane sugar (no artificially bleached beet sugar)
4. Stir well, loosely cover with a coffee filter (to let air in, but keep dust out) and tighten w/a string or rubber band.
5. You will leave this out, in a warm spot, on your countertop afterwards…then repeat these same steps for the next 5-6 days.

Ultimately, your will remove your coffee filter, seal your jar tightly, and then refrigerate!!

And now that your ‘Ginger-bug’ has been fed for 5-6 days, it should appear very fizzy and bubbly.

It will continue to ferment slowly, inside of your refrigerator…and now you’re ready to make soda!!

My favorite flavor is Strawberry/Rosemary!!

1. In a separate (32oz) mason jar, add a sprig of fresh rosemary and also add 1 cup of your fresh or frozen strawberries – slice them and keep the leaves on, if you like!!

2. Add 1/2 cup of sugar

3. Add 1/2 cup of your ginger bug/ferment starter to this mason jar – You can also include some of your ginger bits (from the bug), or not.

4. Now you must ‘Re-feed’ your refrigerated ginger bug with an additional 1/2 cup of filtered water + 1/2 cup of sugar, then stir it and return it to the refrigerator for your next homemade drink.

5. Finally, add filtered or spring water to your 32oz. mason jar, filled with your ingredients. Fill it 3/4 of the way, seal tightly and shake!!

*******************************************

Now I like to let my fermented soda set up, while it’s on top of my refrigerator. That’s so that it can stay nice and warm, while my sugar is dissolving.

It’s very important to keep your ferment in sight, so that you can remember to shake it from time to time, and so that you don’t forget to burp it once/day!!

Why must you burp your ferment??

Well, because your fermented ginger is probiotic-rich, as it eats the additional sugar, it will begin to produce CO2, just like your fermented pickles and tomatoes, so it is very important to burp your jar once every 24 hours- to release that pressure and to avoid 💣💥🌋!!

Here is a picture of my ferment that I neglected to burp on day 3!!

Non-alcoholic Strawberry/Rosemary Fermented Soda 😋

When I finally released the pressure, it gave off several strong whooshes that nearly freaked me out!!

It nearly ran over the top of the jar, just as if I had drooped a soda can, and then attempted to open it immediately afterwards. Wow!! 🤯

Ok!! So obviously, this delicious fermented drink will become very fizzy in 2-3 days, but if you’re overly excited and/or impatient, it will produce a very light fizz within 24 hours and can be chilled or served @ room temperature 😋

I think you will really enjoy this homemade drink, without the alcohol, caffeine, and certainly without the diabetic-inducing high fructose corn syrup found in most of your store bought sodas!!

Again, whether you have fresh ingredients or frozen, go ahead and try this – and try experimenting with other flavors, like blueberry/mint, strawberry/pineapple, blackberry/lavender!!

Let me know how yours turns out, and once again, don’t forget to burp your jar every 24 hours!!

Until Next time, Happy Fermenting!!

Bible Trivia: Answer to Saul’s Search!!

What lost animal(s) was King Saul searching for in 1 Samuel 9??

Hey Neighbor!

Before I began blogging on WordPress, I would text a synopsis of my weekly bible-study to friends, family, and co-workers, etc.

At some point, a friend of mine requested that I start sending out a Bible Trivia Question, so I did!!

Listed above is that first-born Trivia Question of the CareBibleStudy Blog!!

And Below is The CareBibleStory Re: King Saul, before he became an obnoxious, self-absorbed King!!

This is Your Oldie-but-a-Goodie for Your Weekend!!

Enjoy!!🤩

*****************************************

Here’s a quick summary of Saul’s story – How a Benjamite became a King:

Saul was a descendant of the Tribe of Benjamin, the smallest (in numerocity) of the 12 tribes in Israel.

Although Saul was a very tall and very handsome young man, in outward appearance, Saul thought of himself as, just “a nobody.”

-And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel? (1Samuel 15:17)

Now, the Benjamites were not only the most insignificant tribe in Israel, but Saul’s father’s family line was the least of all the Families derived from the tribe of Benjamin.

So as the story goes…Saul’s father (Kish), was told that some of his donkeys had strayed away, so he sent Saul to look for the lost donkeys.

Saul took with him, one of his servants and the two searched diligently for the donkeys for three days, to no avail….so they decided to go ask “the Seer” in Israel.

Now Samuel, Elkanah’s and Hannah’s son, (oldest of the six children) was the Prophet and Judge in Israel..and the two young men were hoping that Samuel would be able to tell them where to find the lost donkeys….not yet realizing that the donkeys had already been found.

Samuel had previously heard a word from The Lord, (in his ear) revealing to him that He was sending a young man, from the land of Benjamin, to be anointed as the first King of Israel.

Now the LORD had told Samuel in his ear a day before Saul came, saying, (1Samuel 9:15)

This was because the people had been crying out to God, pleading for a King.

The people of Israel were terribly afraid of the Philistines…and so God was responding to their plea by sending Saul, to become their King and to save Israel out of the hands of the Philistines.

Now When Saul and his servant finally made it to Ramah and approached the seer, Samuel greeted Saul by his name, saying,

“Saul, I am the seer.”

Now Samuel was on his way up to bless the peace offering, so he invited Saul to come up to the feast.

And because Samuel was already expecting Saul to arrive, Samuel had the chief seat, and the finest portions already prepared for Saul to partake in the festivities, and to eat as his honored guest!!

Now, the next morning, as Saul prepared to depart from Samuel, and return to his father’s house, Samuel took a vial of oil and poured it on Saul’s head, anointing him.

Samuel also kissed him, resigning his governmental authority over to Saul.

And then, on Saul’s way home, the Holy Spirit came mightily upon him, transforming his mind, and preparing him to become King.

Look at God!!

Now let me get this straight…

Saul left home……with a simple plan to find his father’s lost donkeys and get back home…

Then, just 4 days later….Saul came home a King!!

Wow!!

See how God used Saul, regardless of his blood line, and his HUGE inferiority complex…And God can use you too, regardless of your past…So Get Over It!!

God raised Saul up and sat him in the Chief Seat in the Kingdom!!

God had a great plan for Saul!!

I call it a Divine “Set Up.”

God has a greater plan for us, too!!

And our Divine Set-up kicks in when we accept Jesus Christ, as our Lord and Saviour…He sits us on the Throne – In Jesus!!

-And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One- (Ephesians 2:6)

So because we are Seated with Jesus, We too, are Kings and Queens in Christ!!

Hallelujah!!

Now it’s time for you to pickup your Bible and take a look at the full story in 1 Samuel 9-10.

It is So Good…You will be blessed.

Remember…Before you read, ask the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart…He’s waiting!!

As Always,

God Loves You and So Do I!!

Trivia Thursday- Can You Name That Tribe??

-Then Jacob called together all his sons and said, “Gather around me, and I will tell you what will happen to each of you in the days to come.

“Come and listen, you sons of Jacob; listen to Israel, your father (Gen 49:1)

Hey Neighbor!

As you can see, today I have a new trivia-styled question for you:

Can You Name That Tribe??

Now we know that Jacob (Israel) had 12 sons. Here is a chronological list of those twelve:

1. Reuben, 2. Simeon, 3. Levi, 4. Judah, 5. Zebulun, 6. Issachar, 7. Dan, 8. Gad, 9. Asher, 10. Naphtali, 11. Joseph, (Ephraim and Manasseh) 12. Benjamin

Many of the stories in the Bible share the blessings and curses/feats and failures of these twelve patriarchs, and their descendants; but how often do we connect these stories to their forefathers/tribes??

So today, I am presenting a very brief story regarding one of these ‘faith-full’ descendants, hoping that you can identify, Mr. Faith-full, himself, as well as his forefather/tribe!!

Here We Go*************************

What ‘faith-full’ follower of God, from the Tribe of_________________________, put (his) foot upon the necks of 5 (escapee) kings, killed them, impaled them, and finally threw their bodies into the very same cave, wherein which they had fled during the heat of battle.

********************************************

Who was this ‘faith-full’ follower of God??

And, Can You Name His Tribe??

Nuggets of Wealth For Life and Health – Probiotic Rich, Fermented Pickles!!

Hey Neighbor!

Your Health Must Matter Most To You!!

After I posted my fermented tomatoes recipe, My blogger buddy, Wenda http://wendaswindow.wordpress.com/ asked me what I was going to do with my cucumbers, so I decided to share my fermented pickles recipe.

Much like my fermented tomatoes, these are also very rich in probiotics, so they are great for digestion!!

Here is a link to my Fermented tomatoes Recipe, just in case you missed it!!

https://carenrcinesl.wordpress.com/2022/10/05/nuggets-of-wealth-for-life-and-health-probiotic-rich-fermented-tomatoes/

Last year was was my first attempt at growing cucumbers. I bought 2 vines, added some chicken poop and seaweed for fertilizer, and those things were growing everywhere!!

It was crazy!!

I had cucumbers growing up the side of my deck, and one of the more aggressive vines even tried to attach itself to a tree and then begin to grow up there.

My husband kept cutting them and bringing them in, so I went pickling crazy!!

Needless to say, I still have pickles in my basement refrigerator leftover from last year, so I did not actually plant any cucumbers this year…but I still stumbled upon some volunteer cucumbers hidden in a patch…and who knew cucumber vines were so prickly and itchy!!👀

Now the first thing to do is to wash them well and be sure to scrub off all those prickly things, then slice off both of the end tips.

I like to half mine and then quarter them into spears.

Now, You can use whatever variation of fresh herbs and seasonings that you like, but the most critical ingredient you will need, is either a black tea bag or a few basil leaves to maintain crispness!!

Here are my ingredients!!

1 Tea bag and or (2-3) bay leaves (for crispy pickles)
2 tablespoons of Real Salt, Himalayan, or Sea Salt (no iodized table salt)
Turmeric
Mustard seed (yellow or brown)
Sliced Onions
Fresh dill
Fresh Ginger
Fresh Garlic (diced, if you like them garlicky)
Pickling spice
Celery seed
Black peppercorns (add red pepper🌶 flakes, if you like your pickles spicy) 🥵

Now, you will want to place your black tea bag into the bottom of your clean mason jar. If you option to use green tea, add 2 green tea bags.

Arrange your spears into your jar first…I like to make layers, so that my jar looks pretty when I’m done. Sometimes, I find that lying my jar on its’ side helps with the arranging.

Now, after all of your ingredients are packed in tightly, pour in your non chlorinated water…filtered or spring water is best.

Fill your jar, as to cover all of your ingredients and then you can weigh them all down with a glass weight. (or a couple of shot glasses)

This will help to insure that all of your ingredients remain underneath the brine…otherwise they could mold.

If you don’t have a glass weight, a nice bunch of fresh dill can be used to help keep the cucumbers from floating up!!

Once again, you will seal your container or twist on your plastic or clean metal canning lid and, please remember to burp your contents daily for the next 2-3 days.

Be mindful of placement…you want to find a countertop area, away from direct heat and/or sunlight. And preferably, your kitchen temp is between 68-72 degrees.

You should start to see bubbles rising inside of your jar after a couple of days….This is a good thing, that means fermentation is happening.

The good bacteria is beginning to eat the sugars from your cucumbers, and are now producing CO2, so once again, don’t forget to release these gasses (or burp) your jar once/day….otherwise…boom🤯💥

After 2-4 days, try your pickles with a clean fork. If you like them, remove your glass weights and refrigerate them and enjoy.

If you prefer your pickles with a little sweetness, then sweeten them before your refrigerate them. I prefer unbleached organic sugar, but I have also sweetened them with honey as well.

Your pickles will continue to ferment inside of your refrigerator, but at a much slower rate!!

Your fermented pickles are not shelf stable and will begin to grow mold if you fail to refrigerate them after several days.

How to eat them??

You can add them to your salads, slice them and add them to your sandwiches and/or pour your brine into your soups and/or broths.

I even add my pickle juice to my spaghetti sauce😋.

If you have other fermenting or pickling ideas, let me know!!

Thanks For Stopping By!!

Trivia Tuesday – Name That Relative/Priest!!

-In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end. For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not (1Samuel 3:12)

Hey Neighbor!

In the lead scripture above, we see where the Prophet, Samuel confirmed the judgment of The Lord, that had been spoken against the house of Eli.

Now, we know that Eli, Israel’s Judge and High Priest, had failed to restrain his two deplorably vile and depraved sons, Hophni and Phinehas from continuing to profane The Lord’s Offering @ Shiloh….amongst their many wicked deeds.

Thus The Lord had spoken, and He was now proceeding to remove Eli’s sons, and their descendants from serving in the office of priest forever!!

Now, although both Hophni and Phinehas met their tragic fate on the same day, thus confirming the beginning of the Lord’s Judgment, Eli’s last (priestly) descendant was not ultimately removed until long after Eli’s death.

The Lord did finally make an End to the House of Eli when his last priestly descendant was banished to Anathoth, and was henceforth expelled from being The Lord’s High Priest!!

Who was this (priestly) descendant of Eli’s??

– And when the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, Do not weep. And He went forward and touched the funeral bier, and the pallbearers stood still. And He said, Young man, I say to you, arise [from death (Luke 7:13)

Jesus, You Leave Me Speech-Less!!

-so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father

(Philippians 2:10)

Jesus Is Lord…And I Must Confess, so I wrote Him this Poem called, ‘You Leave Me Speech-Less.’

Here’s My Poem…

*****

At the name of Jesus, EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, and every tongue shall confess.
I’m So Awed By Your Glory…Lord, You Leave Me Speech-Less!!
How You’ve transformed my life in the span of one year.
You’ve dried up my eyes and to Hell You’ve sent fear.
See…Fear could not stand against truth, when compared.
Thank God for Your Word that Your Messengers shared!!
When the demons had fiery darts aimed at my back,
You nodded for Angels to seize and attack!!
You taught me how to submit my will unto Yours.
When I praised, You unchained and unlocked prison doors.
You’ve taught me to resist the devil, and put him on the run…With Your Word as my knife, my sword, and my gun.
When the Un-Righteous Judge said,
Unh-Unh…No Way!!
I stood waiting Lord, To hear what You Would Say!!
You turned the heart of the King…that You held in Your hand.
He fell to his knees…with No Power to Stand!!
“Yes! Jesus is Lord!!” He bowed and Confessed.
OH!! My Joy, So unspeakable…Lord You Leave Me Speech-Less!!

*****

I Hope You Enjoyed!!

Trivia Tuesday- Can You Name That Relative??

– So king Solomon sent, and they brought him (Adonijah) down from the altar. And he came and bowed himself to king Solomon: and Solomon said unto him, Go to thine house (1Kings 1:53)

Hey Neighbor!

Last week we learned that King Solomon was finally forced to execute his older brother, Adonijah, after he made a power play for the throne, with his deceptively clever petition to marry Abishag.

After David died, Adonijah made a request to marry their father’s concubine, Abishag, who would have rightfully become a possession,
transferred into the hands of the (new) reigning King, Solomon!

As we well know, this was not Adonijah’s first attempt at the throne. In fact, Adonijah had made his first, failed attempt while there was still breath in the ailing king (David’s) body!

In the lead scripture, above, we see that Adonijah’s first attempt at the throne only resulted in an admonishment for him to go home, and to behave!!

You see, at that time, Solomon no longer perceived Adonijah to be a threat to the throne, now that David was dead, but Adonijah was afraid of Solomon!!

He was shaking in his boots; so afraid of how the new king might react!!

You see, after Solomon had been properly appointed, anointed, and crowned king, Adonijah recognized that his head was bound for the grave!!

Adonijah realized that his actions were worthy and deserving of death, so in response, Adonijah ran to the tabernacle tent on Mt. Zion, for refuge from Solomon, where he caught hold of the horns of the altar!!

Again, Solomon, wet behind the ears, did not perceive his older brother to be a danger, so he just sent Adonijah home!!

Now Adonijah was not the only close relative, who had run for refuge from King Solomon!!

Fearing for his own life, this relative also took hold of the horns of the altar, because he was a murderer, guilty of avenging the blood of war, during times of peace!!

On this occasion, Solomon showed himself strong; and thus Solomon had this bloody relative struck down and executed, right there at the altar!!

Solution Saturday Answer: The Prophetess, Anna

And (Anna) she too came up at that same hour, and she returned thanks to God and talked of [Jesus] to all who were looking for the redemption (deliverance) of Jerusalem. (Luke 2:38)

Hey Neighbor!

This week, our CareBibleStudy class searched through the Bible for a specific king, who was forced to execute his older brother…that was on Tuesday!!

And on Thursday, we searched for a certain prophet who had come highly referred, by the king’s mother!!

And of Course, we studied to solve our ‘Super-Faith’ Sunday Riddle, and we identified this super-faith-full female as:

The Prophetess Anna (Luke 2:36-37) 36) -And there was also a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old, having lived with her husband seven years from her maidenhood. And as a widow even for eighty-four years. She did not go out from the temple enclosure, but was worshiping night and day with fasting and prayer.

*******************************************

Once Again, Here is Sunday’s Riddle…just in case you missed out!!

********************************************

It was difficult to bear the loss of my spouse
‘Til I crossed the threshold, and found peace in His house
Waiting on the Lord made my long-widowed years more bearable
As I communicated for God, not by fables, nor parable
But instead, I spoke with the conviction of a ‘faith-full’ and fervent witness.
My years of fasting were for spiritual fortitude and never for fitness
Day and night I worshipped the Lord, as I sheltered in place,
Anticipating the day I would behold his sweet face.
I refused to go home, much like Bathsheba’s Uriah
My testimony was such: I had seen The Messiah!!

Waiting ‘Faith-Fully’ for Jesus – A Sinner like Zacchaeus

Hey Neighbor!

Here’s another Oldie for Your Weekend!!

Enjoy🤩

****************************************

I was listening to one of my favorite preachers, while driving in the car…and she was speaking about Zacchaeus the publican/tax collector in Luke 19:1-10.

I remembered teaching on the lesson in Sunday school, and My husband, Dewitt taught the kids this cute little song…

“Zacchaeus was a Wee-lil’ man and a Wee-lil’ man was he…He climbed up in a Sycamore tree…For The Lord he wanted to see!”

It was Dewitt’s favorite Sunday School Song, as a boy!

While listening to the broadcast, I was reminded of Dewitt’s boy-like spirit, when he climbed up in a tree to get a glimpse of our President.

It was during the 2008 Presidential Election, and Barack Obama was coming to St. Louis.

The Hubby and I were both beyond thrilled as we headed out for the St. Louis Arch Grounds, clad in our Obama T-shirts and hats.

Now, I normally shy away from large crowds, but I was excited…and really wanted to actively participate in such a historic occasion for Black America, as we were embarking upon electing our First African-American President.

So there we were hanging out with over 50,000 strangers and yet it seemed like we were all a large multicultural family ‘in fellowship,’ as Everyone had come together on one accord to support Barack Obama.

It was an awesome experience!!

So we all stood and waited in the ‘line that didn’t end’ until we cleared the Secret Service entrance to get onto the Arch grounds.

So Dewitt decided he was going to go and get us coffee, and it seemed as if he was taking forever to get back…

And he was, because he was bursting at the seams with excitement.

He was running around, savoring and capturing those historic moments…he was taking photos of everything that moved.

He was so enthusiastic about our new President!!

When he finally made it back onto the Arch grounds, it was just before Barack appeared on stage, so he got an idea to climb up into one of the trees to try to get a glimpse of our next President.

WOW!! What a Weirdo, huh??

So of course…The Secret Service approached him, without guns drawn (Thank God!!) and made him get his overzealous tail down from that tree!

Sounds pretty funny, huh??

But it really did happen…and maybe the idea originated from his Favorite Sunday School Song about Zacchaeus, The Wee-lil Man.

Here’s the Story:

In Luke 19:1-10 Zacchaeus, the tax collector, was overzealous also -like Dewitt- only Zacchaeus was trying to see Jesus!!

Jesus was passing through Jericho, on the way to raise Lazarus from the dead, when this dwarf- like publican, determinedly decided that HE WAS GOING TO SEE JESUS!!

He had heard folks in the crowds talking about this, Jesus; and he believed the stories and wanted to see this One who John the Baptist declared to be, “The Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the World!”…And although he was considered amongst the ‘chiefest’ of sinners, being the chief tax collector, by trade; Zacchaeus believed that by his merely setting eyes on Jesus, his sins could be forgiven.

So upon Jesus’ arrival into town, he ran ahead of the crowd, like a little boy, and climbed up into a Sycamore tree, anticipating that he could get one glimpse of Jesus. Remember Zacchaeus was a very small man; he could not see beyond even those individuals of average height. But he was determined that Nothing would Prevent him from setting his ‘Faith-Filled’ eyes on the Messiah!!

He had never seen Jesus before and was trying to identify which one of the disciples he was. He wanted to be certain about his Saviour…yet he was not expecting to be acknowledged or recognized by Jesus, at all! So when Jesus passed through and looked up at him, calling him out, by Name, saying, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down; for I must stay at your house today.”
Zacchaeus must have been so amazed!!

Now the Hebrew people did not converse with sinners, like Zacchaeus (publicans). I would imagine that besides his own household and his employees, who were required to talk to him, he was not spoken too at all, publicly.

So when Jesus came into town, acknowledging this sinner by name, proclaiming that He MUST stay at his house, Zaccheaus quickly climbed down; with a penitent heart and begins confessing all of his wrongdoing and declaring that he will make retribution for his sin of theft against the poor, according to the Law.

He knows that Jesus will not despise a broken spirit nor a contrite heart, according to the Psalms 51:17. So Zacchaeus empties out before Jesus then eagerly, Welcomes WALKING SALVATION into his home.

Jesus came seeking those that were lost and Zacchaeus placed himself in position to be found by Jesus.

When Jesus returns, will he find You waiting ‘Faith-Fully,’ like Zacchaeus??

Will You be eagerly anticipating His arrival?? And although You’ve been an imperfect person; a sinner, saved by grace, Will You still look confidently for Him??…believing that He will arrive bringing full redemption of your sins; Opening wide The Gates to His Heavenly Home for you saying,

“Well Done My Good and ‘Faith-Full’ Servant!! You Must come to My house today to stay with Me, eternally!!

Hallelujah!!

Trivia Thursday – Name That Prophet!!

-So Bathsheba went to King Solomon to speak to him for Adonijah. The king rose to meet her, bowed to her, sat down on his throne, and caused a seat to be set at his right hand for her, the king“s mother. (1Ki 2:19)

Hey Neighbor!

On (Trivia) Tuesday, We were searching through the Bible for a certain king (Solomon), who had no choice but to execute his misbehaving older brother, Adonijah!!

Adonijah had deceptively sought the assistance of the queen-mom, Bath-Sheba, as he strategically sought to strengthen and exalt himself within the kingdom.

In the lead scripture above, we see where Bathsheba approached her son, Solomon to make this ill-advised request, on the behalf of Adonijah!!

This was not a very wise move on the part of Bathsheba…and although Solomon did not discipline his mother for making this near treasonous request, he did admonish her…for the queen-mom was not operating in the best interest of her king/son.

Now there was another queen-mom, who was indeed striving to be an asset to her son and his kingdom, although he was a defiantly, wicked king.

She had witnessed the great sufferings of his father, and wanted to lend her son some wisdom and advice from his father’s fateful reign as king.

This mother graciously approached her son, recommending that he seek counsel from his father’s ‘tried and true’ seer, regarding the fallout from her misbehaving son’s afternoon of drunkenness and revelry!!

The queen mother had overheard her son’s frantic conversation inside the banquet house…and thus the king was extremely terrified and greatly perplexed with his troubles, so much so that the blood had drained from his face, and his knees had begun to knock!!

When the King’s great and ‘wise’ counsel of men could not help her son to resolve his perplexing problem, mom stepped in with her wise recommendation…

It was time to call ‘The Man of God!!’

Who was this ‘Tried and true’ Prophet/Seer that had come so highly recommended by the queen-mom??

Nuggets Of Wealth for Life and Health: Probiotic Rich, Fermented Tomatoes!!

Hey Neighbor!

Your Health Must Matter Most To You!!

I am bringing in my tomatoes for canning!!

Last year was my first trial at canning, because I had cucumbers and tomatoes growing out of my ears!!

I had no idea what to do with my abundant harvest, so I called my Aunts, but nobody knew how to can.

So I was forced to learn on my own!

I bought my mason jars, which were very limited in quantities in most stores, so I just ordered them from Amazon!!

I also found this wonderful website called, Mary’s Nest

Mary teaches several different canning techniques, but I particularly like this fermented tomatoes recipe because it’s very rich in probiotics (good bacteria) and therefore great for gut health!!

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4fXPKaWjK60&feature=youtu.be

Anyway, I adapted the recipe to my own preferences…go and check her out on YouTube to get your canning tutorial and the full details for your exact measurements!!

My ingredients:

Cherry Tomatoes (from my garden)
Organic Green onions
2 tablespoons of Redman’s Real Salt (no table salt)
Fresh garlic (diced)
Basil (from my garden)
And fresh Rosemary (from my garden). Filtered/Spring Water (no chlorinated tap water)

Basic Instructions:

Clean your jars and Wash your veggies, remove the vines and poke your tomatoes with a toothpick, alternate your ingredients (as you add them to your jar)

Pour in your Filtered water to cover all ingredients and close it with a metal canning lid or plastic lid!!

Fermenting Process:

You will want to let your canned tomatoes sit out on your countertop for 2-3 days (out of direct sunlight) so that the good bacteria can begin to eat the natural sugars in your tomatoes and grow. Preferable temp in your kitchen would be 65-72 degrees)

Because your ferment is going to begin to release gasses (CO2), You will need to burp it (once daily) while it sits on your countertop. You should begin to see bubbles moving about your jar!!

***This type of canning is not shelf stable, and must be refrigerated after several days!!

Probiotic Rich, Fermented Tomatoes 😋

I like to place a towel underneath my jar, because sometimes your fermenting liquid will begin to release and leak, as the pressure builds!!

If you like, taste your ferment after 2-3 days, then refrigerate it for up to two weeks. It will continue to ferment in your refrigerator, although much more slowly.

If you can wait those 14 days before digging in, you will be amazed at the flavor!!

(Your refrigerated ferment can last up to six months)

Now, I also grow my own lettuce, so when I’m ready for a salad, I just spoon over some of my fermented tomatoes, add some olive oil, and cracked pepper, and I’m in heaven for just a few moments!!

Give it a try, even if you have to go and purchase your own ingredients…you won’t regret it and your tummy will certainly bless you💕

Trivia Tuesday- Name That King!!

-While there was war between the houses of Saul and David, Abner was making himself strong in the house of Saul. Now Saul had a concubine whose name was Rizpah, daughter of Aiah. And Ish-bosheth said to Abner, Why have you gone in to my father“s concubine? (2 Samuel 3:6-7)

In the lead scripture above, we find Abner, stretching forth his control and authority over Saul’s younger son, Ishbosheth…by taking claim and possession of the (deceased) King’s concubine.

You see, after the death of Saul and Prince Jonathan…Abner, Saul’s uncle and military commander, sat Ishbosheth upon his (deceased) father’s throne, in Israel.

In reality, Uncle Abner was the mastermind and the actual figure of authority in Israel, while Ishbosheth merely sat upon the throne…in (Saul’s) name only!

This power-play of Abner’s, further humbled and humiliated a powerless Ishbosheth, and it also publicly revealed the gaps in this young king’s armor.

Now, in a similar story in the Bible, we find that another close relative of a freshly anointed king (this time an older brother) has also made a power-play to strengthen and exalt himself by using their (deceased) father’s concubine as his power pawn ♟

Although this princely brother had been next in-line to the throne, he had failed to receive enough public support to successfully reign in their father’s stead.

So, in his second attempt towards the throne, the king’s older brother approached the queen mom, peaceably, and requested to marry this concubine.

When word of this older brother’s petition reached the king’s ears, the king quickly recognized his big brother’s clever request for what it truly was…yet another strategic, attempt to usurp the throne!!

This angry king had previously shown his big brother great mercy, but this time, he must strengthen himself, and for the surety of his throne, the king must remove and execute this Usurper!!

******************************************

Who was this (older) Brother/Usurper??

And

Who Was This King??

Bible Brain Teaser (Find 30 Books) Answers!!

I forgot to Post Your Answers to This Brain Teaser!!

******************************************

Can you find thirty (30) books of the Bible in the paragraph, below? Actually there are thirty-one (31) Bible names if you can find the variant of one Old Testament prophet.

********************************************

This is a most remarkable puzzle. It was found by a gentleman in an airplane seat pocket, on a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu, keeping him occupied for hours. He enjoyed it so much, he passed it on to some friends. One friend from Illinois worked on this while fishing from his john boat. Another friend studied it while playing his banjo. Elaine Taylor, a columnist friend, was so intrigued by it she mentioned it in her weekly newspaper column. Another friend judges the job of solving this puzzle so involving, she brews a cup of tea to help her nerves. There will be some names that are really easy to spot. That’s a fact. Some people, however, will soon find themselves in a jam, especially since the book names are not necessarily capitalized. Truthfully, from answers we get, we are forced to admit it usually takes a minister or a scholar to see some of them at the worst.
Research has shown that something in our genes is responsible for the difficulty we have in seeing the books in this paragraph. During a recent fund raising event, which featured this puzzle, the Alpha Delta Phi lemonade booth set a new record. The local paper, The Chronicle, surveyed over 200 patrons who reported that this puzzle was one of the most difficult they had ever seen. As Daniel Humana humbly puts it, “The books are all right here in plain view hidden from sight.” Those able to find all of them will hear great lamentations from those who have to be shown. One revelation that may help is that books like Timothy and Samuel may occur without their numbers. Also, keep in mind, that punctuation and spaces in the middle are normal. A chipper attitude will help you compete really well against those who claim to know the answers. Remember, there is no need for a mad exodus; there really are 30 books of the Bible lurking somewhere in this paragraph waiting to be found. God Bless.

Here Are The Books in the order they appear in the Paragraphs:

Super-Faith Sunday Riddle/ Who Am I??

Hey Neighbor!

Here She Is!!

Your ‘Super-Faith-Full Female’ of the Week!!

Can You Solve My Riddle and Guess Who She Is??

Elisha died, and they buried him. Bands of the Moabites invaded the land in the spring of the next year. (2Kings 13:20)

Hey Neighbor!

This week, our CareBibleStudy class searched through the Bible to Name a Prophet, whose bones caused a deceased man to be revived…now that was on Tuesday.

After the hearing of the Word of the Lord, It was revealed to Ezekiel, that dry bones could live, indeed!!

Now there was another well known prophet who caused a deceased man to stand to his feet…and not because he prophesied to the bones, as Ezekiel had done.

But because there remained power and virtue in this prophet’s bones, even after he had been dead and buried, in his own sepulcher.

So much so, that as this (deceased) man was being laid to rest…and as his body was being lowered into the ground…it made contact (in the grave) with this Old Testament prophet’s bones…and immediately, the recently deceased man was revived, and also stood to his feet👣

Which Old Testament Prophet’s Bones were these?

*****************************************
Answer: The Prophet Elisha

-As a man was being buried [on an open bier], such a band was seen coming; and the man was cast into Elisha“s grave. And when the man being let down touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood on his feet. (2Kings 13:21)

Jesus Has A Warrant Out For Your Salvation!!

-Or what woman, having ten [silver] drachmas [each one equal to a day’s wages], if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and look carefully and diligently until she finds it-
(Luke 15:8)

Hey Neighbor!

Jesus was an Awesome Story Teller….

In Luke 15:8-10, He Tells a Parable about a woman who had lost a coin…Well this woman had obviously misplaced one of her silver coins and had begun to despair over it. Now when she realized that one of the coins was missing, it must have been in the evening time, because scripture tells us that she needed light…so she lit a lantern.

You see…this woman couldn’t rest because she needed to locate the thing that she had lost…and she needed the light to help her navigate her way through the maze of furniture, in the darkness.

So She began to clean her house…Can you picture her sweeping the dirt floor, bending down to look underneath the furniture and peering behind the doors, emptying baskets, and wiping the dust from the tables. We don’t know how long the woman searched…but it is quite possible that she was up all night…she was steadfast and determined to spot out her lost coin of silver…when suddenly, her eyes finally noticed the sparkle of the coin, reflected by the light. She had found it!!…and what did she do??

She ran to her neighbors houses, awaking them…to share the Good News, so that they might come to celebrate this joyous occasion!!

-And when she has found it, she summons her [women] friends and neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the silver coin which I had lost-
(Luke 15:9)

The thing that was lost..was now found!!

***********

So what’s so significant about this story??

Well Jesus has been looking for You…He has been shining His Light of Salvation out for You!!

Stop Running!!

Stop Hiding!!

Let Him Find You!!

And Let His Love come upon you…

because No matter what you’ve done in the past…

…and no matter how long you’ve been running from Him…

Jesus Still Wants You!!

Let His Holy Spirit come in and Clean-Up Your Spiritual House – From top to bottom – From the inside out!!

Receive Jesus Today – Pray This Prayer:
I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He took on ALL of my sins on the Cross at Calvary and died in my place.

Jesus, I welcome you into my heart and want You to be the Lord of my Life. I believe that today I have received Your Holy Spirit, as a security deposit and as a guarantee of My Salvation!!

Jesus, Thank You for Saving Me!!

*******
If You Just prayed this prayer…Guess What??

You Are Saved!!

And….Now there is a celebration going on in heaven!!

And…This Party is Just For You!!!

So Go!!…Run and Tell Your Neighbors that You have been Saved…and invite them to Your Salvation Party!!

Guess What…Jesus Will Be There!!

-Even so, I tell you, there is joy among and in the presence of the angels of God over one [especially] wicked person who repents (changes his mind for the better, heartily amending his ways, with abhorrence of his past sins-
(Luke 15:10)

Trivia Tuesday – Name That Prophet!!

– And He said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, You know (Ezekiel 37:3)

Hey Neighbor!

In our lead Scripture, we see that The Lord God had set Ezekiel down in the midst of the valley of dry bones.

It was there that the Lord God commanded Ezekiel to prophesy to the bones, and then the bones came together, and the flesh covered them, but still there was no life in them!!

So The Lord God commanded Ezekiel to prophesy to the breath and spirit, and there the spirit and breath came into the bones and now they lived, and stood upon their feet.👣

Can these dry bones live??

Well, after the hearing of the Word of the Lord, It was revealed to Ezekiel, that they could indeed!!

Now there was another well known prophet who caused a deceased man to stand to his feet…and not because he prophesied, as Ezekiel had done.

But because there remained power and virtue in this prophet’s bones, even after he had been dead and buried, in his own sepulcher.

Solution Saturday Answer- Jephthah’s Daughter

And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord and said, If You will indeed give the Ammonites into my hand, Then whatever or whoever comes forth from the doors of my house to meet me when I return in peace from the Ammonites, it shall be the Lord“s, and I will offer it or him up as a burnt offering (Judges 11:30)

Once again, I have Your ‘Super- Faith-full’ female of the week, and she was: Jephthah’s Daughter!!

Again, Here is Sunday’s Riddle, Just in case you missed it:

*********************************************

Why was he saddened, though he returned home in peace

For there should have been joy and a celebratory feast

God had wrought victory for Israel, yet once again

He had no son to greet him, I was his nearest, next of kin

I heard no gladness in his voice, neither did I see a gleam in his eyes.

But Daddy looked dismayed, as if he wanted to cry

For he had opened his mouth, and was bound by a promise to keep

Had he envisioned a dog, a goat, or a sheep

I prayed he would permit me a month or two to tarry

To mourn and lament my prohibition to marry

Never would I know wedded love, nor romance

Since I played festive drums, with the song and the dance

*******************************************
Answer: Jephthah’s Daughter

Then Jephthah came to Mizpah to his home, and behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances! And she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter. (Judges 11:34)

Check Yourself or Be Checked!! PART 2

Hey Neighbor!

If You have already read Part 1, You’ve probably caught on that I am using the word ‘judge’ synonymously with the word ‘check,’ as I am attempting to make the term a little more relevant to Our everyday lives.

In 1 Corinthians 11:31, Paul uses the word judge as he reminds us to ‘check’ ourselves:

-For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world-

And when we ‘check’ ourselves, we realize how much more we need Jesus and how much more We need His Holy Spirit to come and live inside of our hearts to convict Us of Our Sins and to Convince Us of Righteousness and to redeem our souls from condemnation.

Here’s PART 2 of Our Lesson:

*********

-And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle. In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end-
(1Samuel 3:11-12)

So there Samuel lay as the Lord came and stood, revealing to Samuel all the calamity that would soon befall Eli’s household. – Now I just love it when God says, “Behold, I am about to do a new thing!” I translate it like this…”Hey!! Check this Out!! Some things are about to change around here, so keep your eyes AND your ears opened!!

So…God goes on to tell Samuel that when He gets done…’doing His New Thing’…that BOTH of your ears are gonna tingle, along with everybody else that hears about what’s about to happen in Israel!!

God was Fed Up with Eli and his Two wicked son’s behavior in The Lord’s House…that’s the Church. Now God had already sent Eli a lengthy warning, by a different messenger, in Chapter 2, verses 27-36. So Pastor Eli had been previously ‘checked’ about what was going on in the church with his two Asscociate Ministers – Eli’s Sons, but Eli still refused to check himself and also refused to check his sons.

In Chapter 2, verses 24-25, the writer reveals more to us about Eli’s Pastoring style, as well as his lackadaisical parenting style. We learn that Eli was well aware of what was happening in the church. He had known of it, firsthand…and he had heard All the church gossip regarding Hophi and Phinehas- his two associate ministers. He knew that they were misusing the member’s offerings and Eli also knew that the boys were sleeping with the ‘Ushers’…amongst other things…and yet Eli idlely sat in his chair…beside a post of the church and did nothing about it!

Now, Remember that Eli was the High Priest and ‘THE’ Judge in Israel. It was his job to judge or ‘check’ the sin in Israel, and particularly to ‘check’ the sin within his own household – the Church- but since Eli refused to check and punish his own sons, God ‘checked’ them instead!

So Now…God was sending Samuel forth with a message of judgement upon Eli’s household…only this time, there was no grace period available…God was determined to put an end to the Sin in His House!

The Next Morning, when Samuel arose, he shared the vision with Eli, hiding nothing of it from him, and yet Eli, once again, seems to esteem the prophesy lightly. Look at how he responds to the death sentence upon his household in Chapter 3, verse 18. Eli says, “It is the Lord; let Him do what seems good to Him.”

WOW!!

So of Course…God did do what seemed fit in Chapter 4, verses 17-18. He purged Eli and both his sons from His tabernacle. Both Hophni and Phinehas were killed during a battle against the Philistines…both boys on the same day.

When Eli heard of all that had befallen his two sons, Eli fell off his seat backwards and broke his neck….I’ll bet both his ears were tingling before he hit the pavement. Lol!

Now The writer particularly mentions in verse 18 that Eli was old and heavy…and so this bit of information clues Us in as to what happened to Eli that day. Eli was sitting in his FAVORITE chair, as he did so often, when suddenly, the chair broke under his own weight.

Why do I say FAVORITE?…because of how often the writer mentions that Eli…the high Priest and Judge in Israel was sitting down on the job – instead of Doing God’s Work!

Even So, I’ve often wondered why the writer added this little fact about Eli’s weight upon his death…but it was actually revealed in Chapter 2, verse 29.

Remember that God had originally Warned Eli about how he had dishonored God by in turn, honoring his own sons before and above God…and so here the text tells Us just how Eli had managed to get so heavy.

It’s fairly evident that Eli had also been an active participant in fattening his own flesh on God’s offering…along with Hophni and Phinehas.

So is that why Eli had so long refrained from judging or ‘checking’ his boys??

Was it because Eli had received a longterm, personal benefit from his sons evil behavior in the church??

You Be The Judge!!…as You ALSO ‘Judge’ Yourself!!

Thanks For stopping By!!

And Remember…

God Loves You and So Do I!!

There was an individual in the Bible, an anointed King, who pretended to be crazy!!

He salivated and slobbered on himself, much like an infant does. He even scratched and doodled on doors…just like a toddler!!

*****************************************

Answer: King David

David took these words to heart and was much afraid of Achish king of Gath. And he changed his behavior before them, and pretended to be insane in their [Philistine] hands, and scribbled on the gate doors, and drooled on his beard (1Sa 21:12)

David also penned Psalm 34 as he memorialized his time in Gath:

+[A Psalm+] of David; when he pretended to be insane before Abimelech (whose name was, Achish) who drove him out, and he went away. (Psalms 34)

-And Jacob“s well was there. So Jesus, tired as He was from His journey, sat down [to rest] by the well. It was then about the sixth hour (about noon). (John 4:6)

Once Again, Here is Sunday’s Riddle:

*******************************************

I came up here to be all alone,

When I spotted him resting upon Israel’s stone

I didn’t speak to him, it was he who spoke first

Now, what did I have to do with his thirst

Why should I help him, for I’m truly a stranger

Though he expressed no resentment, and spoke not in anger

Why would he ask me to help meet his need

And how does he know all my actions and deeds??

He asked me to serve him, but instead he served me.

A few Crumbs on his way to the town, Galilee

Answer: The Samaritan Woman (John 4:4-41)

Presently, when a woman of Samaria came along to draw water, Jesus said to her, Give Me a drink– For His disciples had gone off into the town to buy food– The Samaritan woman said to Him…(John 4:7-9)
