God’s ’Faith-Full’ Daughter – Hannah!!

Hey Neighbor!

This week’s Super-Faith Female from the Bible was Hannah, and here is her story!!

1 Samuel 1-28

**************************************
So many tears she cried…her soul was bitterly vexed and anguished. She was incessantly taunted and agitated by her counterpart, Peninah…she did not have the wherewithal to endure the strife, so she rescinded into silence and shame!!

She was thoroughly troubled, so much so that she could not focus on her worship at the house of prayer…Her countenance reflected great sadness, for Hannah’s Peace was unsearchable!!

Hannah had lost her joy for the holy things of God, and had fallen into deep despair. She had lost her appetite and would not eat, and also she could not eat…for they were forbidden to eat of the Peace offerings in a spirit of mourning/sadness.

Her husband, Elkanah had blessed her with a double portion of the sacrificial meat, but she would not touch it…not until she had poured out her complaint before the Lord in prayer, and fully surrendered the pain of her affliction.

As Hannah was praying to the Lord through her grief and desperation…

Eli, the priest looked and saw Hannah’s red eyes…

For she had been restless, Hannah’s eyes were reddened from the many nights she lay awake, and because of the tears she had shed, like waterfalls.

Eli then saw Hannah’s lips moving, but no sound came forth…

Although Eli could not hear her words, Hannah was wailing loudly before God – on the inside!!

This was her secret prayer…from the depths of her broken spirit that could only be heard by God.

Eli perceived that Hannah was drunk…and she was- but not with alcohol. She was drunk with overwhelming sorrow. Hannah had tasted no wine at all, but her affliction made her a nervous wreck!!

Hannah believed that she could not go on living with the reproach and shame of being a motherless wife.

Although Elkanah loved her dearly, as much as ten sons could love their mother…He could not fill the barrenness of her womb…but God could!!

And as Hannah wrestled with God in prayer, she refused to let go until He blessed her womb. She had approached the throne of grace via the depths of her heart, pleading to God for a son.

Ah, Finally!!

Hannah perceived that her prayers and petitions had reached the ears of God…And although Eli could not hear them, God heard Hannah, and He comforted her spirit with Peace.

Eli sent her away, also blessing her with God’s Peace.

  • So [she] went her way and ate, her countenance no longer sad. (1 Samuel 1:18)

And thus she could could now receive God’s Peace and eat His Peace offering.

A double portion of it had been prepared for Hannah, and God was watching and waiting!!

God wanted Hannah to receive His Peace with a happy countenance, a joyful spirit, and a heart of worship!!

When Hannah and Elkanah returned home, God confirmed and acknowledged her fervent prayer request, and blessed her with a son. She named her son – ‘Asked of God.’ (Samuel)

Hannah had made a secret vow to the Lord while she was @ Shiloh, promising to return the child to Him, dedicating him to service in the Lord’s house; Samuel was Hannah’s living sacrifice to God.

And after she weened the boy, ‘Faith-full’ Hannah fulfilled her vow to the Lord, and she took him to Shiloh to minister before the Lord, all the days of his life!!

And the Lord continued to bless Hannah year after year, and Hannah joyfully bore her husband, Elkanah 5 additional children.

-And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she bore three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord. (1Samuel 2:21)

This story just reminds us to keep the faith Neighbor – believing that if we will completely cast our cares on The Lord and delight in Him, He will give us the desires of our hearts –

Like ’Faith-full’ Hannah!!

Thanks For Stopping By Today!!

Until Next Time,

Super-Faith Sunday Answer: Hannah!!

Hey Neighbor!

Does God hear and honor our heart prayers?? -These are mental prayers that are inaudible-

I believe that He Does!!

Let’s Look at ‘Faith-full’ Hannah’s Prayer.

*******************************************

When we read the book of 1 Samuel, Chapters 1 and 2, we meet Hannah. Hannah was the childless wife of a Levite, named Elkanah.

Now Elkanah loved his wife dearly, but he took a second woman to wife, named Peninnah, because Hannah could bear him no children. Now Peninnah was both fertile and fruitful, bearing Elkanah sons and daughters; however she was not the adored wife.

She was envious of Elkanah’s love and adoration for Hannah and therefore despised and continually, taunted Hannah .

Now Hannah’s soul grew bitterly sorrowful, as she suffered the incessant provoking by her rival. So, Hannah brought her concerns before the Lord. She fervently, poured out her soul before The Lord in prayer.

Her inaudible, heart prayers were mixed with many, many tears, as she made her petitions known unto The Lord…asking Him to grant her a son.

Although Eli, the high priest, had mistakingly believed Hannah to be drunk, because she appeared to be talking to herself instead of praying (Eli could hear no utterance), he blessed her and she went away in peace and with a renewed hope (confident expectation).

Now, as the story goes on, The Lord remembers Hannah and in less than one year, she gives birth to a male-child. She names him Samuel…as his name means, “Asked of God.”

So Once Again…YES! I do believe that God hears and honors our heart prayers. Hannah asked God, and by faith, she received.

God heard Hannah’s heart prayer and granted her petition.

*********************************************

The Lord is waiting to answer your prayer, Today… So whether you are at work, driving in your car, laying down in your bed, or even sitting in God’s house (the Church), God is waiting to hear from You!!

Your prayer need not be loud, long, nor eloquent; just fervent and faith filled.

So…Go Ahead and Ask…in Jesus’ Name and I dare You to Expect and Believe!!

As Always…

What Is Wrong With This Picture?? – King David

One evening David arose from his couch and was walking on the roof of the king’s house, when from there he saw a woman bathing; and she was very lovely to behold.( 2 Samuel 11:2)

Hey Neighbor!

I want you to pay close attention to the scripture above…

I need you to notice that I have boldened and italicized the first clause in the sentence that reads: “One evening, David arose from his couch”

Now You might say….Tam, What is that all about??

Please bear with me for a moment…

Have you ever completed one of those fun kid activities from a magazine, where you have to search through a picture or photo to find: What’s wrong with this picture??

Well, that is my question to you today, regarding King David-

What’s wrong with him??

Is he sick or ill??

Why has the King of Israel/Judah been dozing the whole day away??

The sun is going down and David is just now getting up??

Scripture tells us that David was not sick, so he should not have been in bed, but he should have been away at war, with his commander, Joab and the remainder of his soldiers.

  • IN THE spring, when kings go forth to battle, David sent Joab with his servants and all Israel, and they ravaged the Ammonites [country] and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem. (2 Samuel11:1)

Instead of David wielding his sling shot and/or his sword against the infamous Ammonites, David was at home wielding the wrong tools!!

They say, an idle mind is the devil’s workshop and trust me….this is not going to end well for David!!

You see, David had spotted the lovely Bathsheba, washing herself upon her roof, while he was lazily walking about upon his roof.

Had David gone up to the roof that evening, with his lyre in hand to play a pleasing tune for The Lord??

Had he gone up to the rooftop to write a psalm to the Lord, in praise for His marvelous works??

No!! You see, David had become an ‘idle’ king and the devil had therefore equipped him with an assortment of tools from his wicked workshop!!

So, David inquired about this lovely woman and learned that she was a married woman…She was the wife of Uriah, the Hittite.

This means that David could not take Bathsheba as his wife, nor could he take her into his harem of concubines, because this would be considered a heinous crime in Israel;

But….because David had become the most powerful person in Israel, he overstepped the Levitical law.

After all, he now sits in the highest position of power and authority in all of the land-

David is the Law!!

David sends for Bathsheba, commits adultery with her, and quietly sends her back home- probably to bathe again!!

And none should be the wiser – right??

Except that David and Bathsheba have made a baby!!

  • And David sent messengers and took her. And she came in to him, and he lay with her–for she was purified from her uncleanness. Then she returned to her house. And the woman became pregnant and sent and told David, I am with child (2Sa 11:4)

Yes! David has gotten Bathsheba pregnant, and now he must dig deeper into satan’s tool-bag, seeking to find a weapon he can use to conceal his dirty little secret.

So David decides to call forth Uriah from the battlefront, under false pretenses…

  • David sent to Joab, saying, Send me Uriah the Hittite. So Joab sent [him] Uriah. (2Sa 11:6) When Uriah had come to him, David asked him how Joab was, how the people fared, and how the war progressed (2Sa 11:7)

By no means does David need a foot soldier to give him a progress report from the battle!!

What David wants is for Uriah to go home and to sleep with his wife Bathsheba!!

David is wielding deception, in hopes that in nine month’s time, Uriah will believe that Bathsheba’s newborn belongs to him (Uriah) – and not to David!!

But here is the Problem: Uriah refuses to go home to sleep with his wife!!

So David tries several different tools, over several days, in attempts to trick Uriah into having intercourse with his wife…including getting Uriah drunk, but they all fail!!

  • And David said to Uriah, Remain here today also, and tomorrow I will let you depart. So Uriah remained in Jerusalem that day and the next. David invited him, and he ate with him and drank, so that he made him drunk; but that night he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord and did not go down to his house (2Sa 11:12)

So now the king must take direct counsel with the ‘subtil’ one….for he has many fiery arrows in his quiver!!

But this time, satan recommends that David put away his tool-bag, and instead suggests that the ‘king’ wield the power of the ‘pen!’

Well, What can David possibly do with a puny pen that could possibly fix this great big mess that he has made for himself??

Well David is going to have Uriah killed, and David has now pondered and has planned to sign Uriah’s death sentence – Literally!!

Yes!

King David is going to literally, write the sentence(s), sign the the letter, and seal the letter shut with his very own signet ring!!

  • In the morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it with Uriah. And he wrote in the letter, Put Uriah in the front line of the heaviest fighting and withdraw from him, that he may be struck down and die (2 Samuel 11:14)

What’s even worse, is that in addition to the King sending Uriah to deliver his very own death notice, David has now made Joab an accomplice to the pre-meditated murder of an innocent man!!

You say what??.…Is this the same David??

The one who God has described as a man after His own heart??’

  • But now your (Saul’s) kingdom shall not continue; the Lord has sought out [David] a man after His own heart…(1 Samuel 13:14)

Yes!!

This is That Same David!!

And You Know that I love him 💕dearly, but today I have to spill the tea on my favorite Bible character David, but I won’t spill it all…I’m going to save a little for tomorrow.

But Tomorrow, I am also going to attempt to explain where my poor, pitiful David went wrong…

You see…Something happened to David long before he laid on his couch that morning and dozed the day away…

So be sure to stop by tomorrow..

I will have the the tea brewing!!

Until Then,

Super-Faith Sunday Riddle 5/22 – Who Is She??

Hey Neighbor!

Welcome to Super-Faith Sunday, where each week we highlight a ‘Faith-Full’ female from the Bible.

On Sundays, I usually post the trivia question or sometimes a riddle, and On Thursdays, (as of 5/22) I post the Answer!!

Can You Solve This Week’s Riddle??

********************************************

Before me were set double portions of meat

Still I sat there and cried and I just would not eat

My husband adored me; He was loving and kind

But my rival, this woman indeed vexed my mind

Second wives, like we’ve read in scriptures before

Brought jealousy and envy straight through my door

She had given him plenty of daughters and sons, which left me embarrassed..

Cause I just wanted one!!

The priest suggested that my wine be abated

I was distressed in my soul, but not intoxicated

He saw my lips moving, but my voice was not heard.

But the Lord, He was listening and He heard every word.

God gave me that son, I returned him instead

And I vowed that a razor would not touch his head

BELIEVE and GO-ON with GOD!!

-No king is saved by the great size and power of his army; a mighty man is not delivered by [his] much strength. A horse is devoid of value for victory; neither does he deliver any by his great power-(Psalms 33:17)

Hey Neighbor!

image

So We’ve been reading 1 Samuel 27-30 and We find in Verse 30:9-10 that 200 of David’s men, although mighty in battle, were not so mighty in faith as they were crossing the brook of Besor, with David to GO and reclaim ALL that God had promised to Restore into their hands.

Here’s The Story….

**********
So as David and his army of 600 men were leaving Ziklag in pursuit of those that had burned down their homes and had taken away their wives and children, David was confronted with yet another interpersonal issue amongst his comrades. 400 of the 600 were not physically, nor spiritually fit for battle. They were wiped out – physically, from the three day journey returning from the land of the Philistines and wiped out – spiritually, as they were still mourning for their loved-ones and did not possess the spirit to believe God for such a miraculous victory as that that David had spoken of.

Although God had spoken to David, reassuring him that every man would Recover ALL -including every man’s wife and every man’s child…missing NO-THING, great or small…yet they did not have the faith to GO-ON with God.

I’m sure this was quite a disappointment for David. God had told him to GO and pursue the raiders, but somehow David had imagined that the Lord would give him this miraculous victory with the strength and might of his army of 600 men vs. only 400.

I’m sure that David made every attempt to also encourage these faithless men in the Lord, as he had encouraged his own spirit in Verse 30:6…but at some point, David had decided that he must hold fast to his own Faith in God. He would Press-On, leaving the 200 behind and leading the 400 Forward.

David decided to Just Believe God…Going-On and trusting that He was still going to give him the victory, regardless of the size of his army…just as He had promised. Only this miraculous victory would not be obtained via the strength of David’s 600 mighty men, nor even by the power of David’s 400 men, but it would be obtained by God’s Ever-Abounding and Faithful Spirit to those Who Will Just Believe.

*********

-It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
(Zechariah 4:6)

God Called In David’s RSVP!!

-THE LORD said to Samuel, How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil; I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided for Myself a king among his sons-
(1Samuel 16:1)

Hey Neighbor!Today’s lesson is about David, my favorite bible character.

No doubt this lesson will be the first of many more relative to this ‘Awesome Dude.’

A few weeks ago, I shared a little humor about how God can use Us, although We are imperfect.

That Lesson (God Wants You 👈!!) showed Us that David, amongst many other bible characters, was imperfect…yet useable, in God’s economy.

David had these three strikes against him. But God didn’t count him out…Hallelujah!!

1. David had an affair w/Bathsheba
2. David was too young.
3. David’s Armor didn’t fit.

Today We will address Strike #2 –

David Was Too Young!!

*******************************************

King David began to reign, as King of Israel when he was 32 years old, but He was anointed by God while still in his teens.

David was handpicked by God to replace King Saul, who God had rejected as King because of his continual disobedience.

In Verse 1 (1 Samuel 16:1), We see where God redirects Samuel, who was very disappointed with King Saul and was grieving, exceedingly over his friend, Saul because of his ‘Faith-Failures.’

So…God had sought out and had chosen David, a ‘man after His own heart,’ yet David did not receive an invitation to his own ‘Anointing Party.’ LOL!!

God had instructed Samuel to invite Jesse, David’s Father to the sacrifice…along with ‘ALL’ of his 8 sons, but Jesse neglected to invite David because he was just, too young.

See…David was the baby boy in the family, and had spent most of his time out in the field, tending to his father’s sheep.

Also…Jesse did not believe that the Lord would choose little David…

Nor did Samuel!!

In Fact…God did not even make Samuel aware beforehand, which of Jesse’s sons he was to anoint.

God was doing His ‘Walk by Faith’ thing again…

telling Samuel to – GO…

And I’ll show you ‘what’ you shall do…and ‘who’ you shall anoint, when You get there!!

I Love It…God is So Cool!!

So Samuel was ever ‘faith-full’ and obedient, as He went forth and waited for the Lord to confirm the identity of the ‘man’ after His own heart.

Prior to the Sacrifice, all of Jesse’s sons – minus David- had been, cleaned up…and consecrated for this most holy occasion…where each of the boys would be introduced, individually, and presented to Samuel, the Prophet.

First came Eliab, but…God rejected Eliab!!

Then came, Abinadab…but God rejected Abinadab!!

Then came, Shammah…but God rejected Shammah!!

So after seven of Jesse’s eight sons had passed before Samuel…God rejected each of them!!

Then Finally, Samuel realized that Jesse had failed to RSVP a seat for the youngest…yet… the chosen son.

-Then [he] said to Jesse, Are all your sons here? [Jesse] said, There is yet the youngest; he is tending the sheep. Samuel said to Jesse, Send for him; for we will not sit down to eat until he is here-
(1 Samuel 16:11)

When David arrived, in his shepherd’s clothing, not yet washed, nor consecrated, and as he passed before Samuel, The Lord confirmed the identity of ‘His Chosen Man.’

“The Lord said [to Samuel], Arise, anoint him; this is he” (1Sa 16:12)…with sheep smell and all…

So Samuel Arose and anointed David with oil, in the presence of his brothers and his father.

Although Jesse, Samuel, and his brothers had rejected David, deeming him unworthy and unfit to reign as King, because they looked at his outward appearance…

God saw David’s heart (his intents and thoughts) and had Approved and Accepted him!!

The World looked at David…and saw a ‘boy’ who was Too Young…Too Short…and Too Dirty…

But God looked at David…and saw a ‘Man’ with a ‘heart’ for God!!

God Saw that David was ‘Righteous.’

David believed in, trusted in, and relied on God!!

David would later, in his life, become the writer of most of the Psalms…where in so many of them, he revealed his heart to God and proclaimed His Love for God!!

Sure David may have appeared to be Young, dirty, and maybe a bit smelly, but God had chosen him…

hand-picked him…

prepared a table for him…

filled his cup…

and…

reserved David’s seat/throne…as ‘His Anointed’ King of Israel!!

WOW!!

-You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over- (Psalm 23:5)

God IS So Awesome!!

Super- Faith Sunday Riddle 5/15 – Who Is She??

Hey Neighbor!

Once again, it’s Super-Faith Sunday, and this week we are highlighting another ’faith-full’ female from the bible.

Can you guess who she is??

Here is My Riddle:

******************************************
My second husband had once killed a lion

Before he had reigned over Israel in Zion

We met as I hurried to right all the wrongs

And to rescue my house, unto me they belonged.

He had protected my shepherds and sheep, like a wall

Every man, now he threatened to slay – each and all

I pleaded with him to show mercy and grace

I jumped off my donkey and I fell on my face

I told him my husband was failed by his name

No fault of my men, only I am to blame

My wicked first husband, he was such a fool

He was also a drunk, very selfish and cruel

He refused the request to share meat and his bread

When 10 days had passed, my first husband was dead

He left me a widow, but I’m now married twice

Not just for my beauty, but my soothing advice

Super-Faith Sunday Riddle 5/8 Answer: Naomi!!

Hey Neighbor!

Today is 5/12/2022 and I have your Answer to our Super-Faith Sunday Riddle and Here is Her Story.

***********************************************

There she was returning to Judah; having long since survived the famine; and having stayed ten years too long in Moab.

What had been the draw in Moab??

That is…what was the ‘thing’ that caused her husband, Elimelech to remain in Moab beyond their original intended stay??

We may never know the answer…but what we do know is that Elimelech died in Moab, leaving his wife Naomi widowed, with 2 sons, Mahlon and Chilion.

Now instead of grieving for her husband, and together with her sons, burying Elimelech, and then immediately returning to their homeland in Judah…

Naomi again extended their stay in Moab!!

In fact, Mahlon and Chilion took wives of the daughters of Moab, after their father’s death. Their wives were named Orpah and Ruth.

But unfortunately, like their father, Mahlon and Chilion also died suddenly in Moab, leaving their wives and their mother to mourn them.

Now Widowed and Childless, Naomi decided that it was high time that she had returned to her home in Bethlehem, Judah.

Now Orpah remained in Moab, but Ruth clung to her mother-in-law, refusing to separate herself from her beloved Naomi.

Now we know that nothing can separate us from the Love of God, but here we find that nothing can separate Ruth from Naomi either.

Scripture tells us that, Ruth’s love for her mother-in-law was greater than that of seven sons!!

And Ruth promised to abide with, and to remain by Naomi’s side, even unto death.

  • And Ruth said, Urge me not to leave you or to turn back from following you; for where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge.  Your people shall be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts me from you. (Ruth 1:16-17)

Now the word had spread quickly amongst the women in Bethlehem, Judah that their most pleasant friend, Naomi, who they had known well, prior to her families’ departure had returned home with a most bitter disposition.

She was now refusing to be called by her given name, Naomi- meaning ‘pleasant,’ but instead she insisted that her friends now call her Mara- meaning, ‘bitter.’

And Yes!!

Naomi was indeed imbittered, having lost every one of her loved ones in Moab- First her husband, and then both of her sons- one after the other.

Naomi had come home empty-handed, and weighed down with sadness and she was greatly discouraged.

She was convinced that The Lord had dealt with her unfairly in Moab, but God still loved Naomi and He was going to show Naomi that he had not forgotten her.

He was going to show Naomi His unfailing love through the love of a daughter- who was not her own!!

Ruth was not Naomi’s flesh and blood, nor was she a daughter of the Promise!!

Ruth was an idol worshipping, pagan woman – a Moabitess, who had converted to the Faith.

Ruth had obviously seen Naomi’s faith-walk, prior to her loosing her husband and her sons.

She had seen her mother-in-law continue to profess the name of the Lord- even when he had removed the hedge from about her. as He done with Job!!

Yet Naomi still desired to return to the Love and Shelter of the Lord- having heard that His blessings to her people in Judah had been renewed.

  • Then she arose with her daughters-in-law to return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in Moab how the Lord had visited His people in giving them food.  (Ruth 1:6)

Now, Ruth wanted to remain with Naomi, because she had seen Naomi’s desire to be near her God!!

And Ruth wanted to be near Naomi’s God also, and to rest and abide underneath the protection of His wings, right alongside her beloved mother-in-law.

Ruth wanted to abide with Naomi…

In Naomi’s home…

And in Naomi’s hometown of Bethlehem…

Where The Lord was present – like a cloud by day and like fire by night, blessing and protecting his chosen people.

Now again, we know that Ruth was not an Israelite, but God loved Ruth as His own ‘chosen’ daughter, and He honored her because she had abandoned her idol worshipping lifestyle and had sought His Face instead!!

God saw and honored Ruth’s loyalty and dedication to her aged mother-in-law!!

And because Our God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him, He opened up His windows in Heaven and blessed Ruth more abundantly than He had blessed the daughters of Israel!!

What a beautiful love story this is!!

We see the Abundant love that God has for his daughters, Naomi and Ruth!!

We see the precious love shared between a mother and her daughter!!

But we also get to witness the romance shared between Boaz and Ruth – but that is another story for another day!!

Now we’re gonna need a steeping hot pot of tea for that story!!

Now back to Naomi!!

God remembered Naomi and blessed her through the unfailing love of her daughter-in-law Ruth, restoring the joy of motherhood into Naomi’s bosom.

  • And may he (Obed) be to you a restorer of life and a nourisher and supporter in your old age, for your daughter-in-law who loves you, who is better to you than seven sons, has borne him.  (Ruth 4:15)

Yes! It was Ruth the Moabitess, who had conceived and bore this son by her husband Boaz, but it was Naomi, who took the child into her bosom!!

And no longer did Naomi’s friends and neighbors call her ‘bitter,’ but now they called her, ‘blessed,’ and they lovingly called the child, – ‘A son is born to Naomi!’

And He (Obed) was the father of Jesse, the father of David [the ancestor of Jesus Christ (Ruth 4:17)

– Now these are the descendants of Perez: Perez was the father of Hezron, Hezron of Ram, Ram of Amminadab, Amminadab of Nahshon, Nahshon of Salmon, Salmon of Boaz, Boaz of Obed, Obed of Jesse, and Jesse of David [the ancestor of Jesus Christ]. (Ruth 4:18-21)

How To Walk With God!!

-So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17) KJV

Hey, Neighbor!

We all recognize the name, Abraham, the Father of our Faith, from the Book of Genesis…. However, his name wasn’t Always Abraham and he wasn’t Always Full-of-Faith.

Abram had a difficult time believing God.

It happens to the best of us….But bless God that He is patient with us and continues to reveal himself in our hearts, causing us to hold on tighter to what we believe.

Now, If God reveals Himself to us by His Word, shouldn’t we be diligent, on Our walk with Him, to keep reading, and hearing…and hearing His Word…thus, increasing Our faith.

Take a moment to look at Abraham’s
“Faith Walk.”
(Gen. 17:16-17)

He laughed in the Face of God!!
(And Lived)

Wow!! Yes!!…Abraham, the Father of our Faith, fell on the ground, laughing in response to God’s promise to give him a son at the ripened age of 100.

No…Abraham was not always full of faith. His name was Abram and he diligently walked with God, as He lead him into places he had never seen; to do things he had never done.

Abram took a “Faith Walk” with God, and somewhere along that 25 year walk, he finally believed God.

Abram walked from faith – to faith; hearing and hearing God’s Words; over and over again.

God fulfilled His promises to and through Abram…and God not only called Abram, “Righteous,” because he finally believed, but He also called him “Father of Many Nations.” – thus changing his name to Abraham.

You know What??

Our God has a sense of humor….He goes on to bless Abraham with that son He promised him…and God called his son “Laughter” – (Isaac).

Oh God! Give me Your grace to continue on my faith walk with You. I just want to hear Your voice, Lord, speaking to my heart. Lead me in the paths of righteousness and call my name, ‘Faith-FULL.’

I’m ready to receive the fulfillment of your promises, with a heart filled with Joy and ‘Laughter.’

Amen!!

Now You can take a closer Walk with God…Pickup Your Bible and Read It.

Read it Aloud- and Hear God’s Words and Be Blessed!

Super-Faith Sunday Riddle 5/8 -Who Am I??

Hey Neighbor!

Can You Solve My Riddle??

**********************************************

The famine in Israel arrived at our door

When we left we were still a family of four

I lost my 2 sons and my husband too

Now what am I suppose to do

So pleasant before, now bitter am I

I would not have left, had I known they would die

Widowed and childless, still to God I must cleave.

He sent me a daughter who would never leave

My young son’s widow, how faithful is she

Stronger than seven sons, how she held on to me

The other one left me – she was weeping aloud,

But this daughter stayed – She was never too proud

She gleaned in the field to put bread in our hands

Now God has blessed her with a prosperous man

In my hands, have I now a new son to behold

My faith has returned, although I am old

Are You Looking For Jesus, or Is Jesus Looking For You??

Hey Neighbor!

Zacchaeus had seen and heard all of the hustle and bustle going on in town. A few Individuals gathering together had now become large groups, which continued to build, and now there were full-scale crowds accumulating in Jericho.

Well, there was no point in Zacchaeus attempting to inquire about the reasoning behind this commotion, because no one would be willing to speak to him in an open forum.

You see, Zacchaeus was a tax collector, in fact- He was the ‘chief’ tax collector…so nobody wanted to talk to him. I can understand how he felt…I used to work for the IRS😏

Because he was a tax collector or a ‘publican,’ Zacchaeus was considered to be a corrupt heathen, a cheat, and a devoted sinner.

Zacchaeus had been shunned by the people.

So anyway…As Zacchaeus overheard the different conversations between individuals in the crowd, he had learned that Jesus was going to be passing through Jericho today and something stirred within Him in anticipation.

He had heard about the miraculous feats of Jesus. In fact- some of the people in the crowd were going on and on about how Jesus had very recently healed a blind man, just outside of town.

It seems that the self-righteous folks outside of Jericho had attempted to hush and hinder the blind man from approaching Jesus, but the man shrieked and screamed all the more!!

He cried out to Jesus saying, “Son of David – Take Pity and Have mercy on me!!”

Jesus had commanded his disciples to bring the man forward and Jesus healed the blind man- giving him back his sight!!

He who was once blind, could now see!!

Well Zacchaeus did not suffer from a physiological blindness, but because he had become a slave to sin, he was left in a spiritual state of darkness.

But Somehow, Zacchaeus found the faith to believe that if he could just set his eyes on Jesus, today he could be freed from the stronghold of sin’s captivity.

However, in addition to his sin struggles, Zacchaeus was also height challenged…as the song says – Zacchaeus was a ‘wee-lil’ man!!

Zaccheus was indeed quite a small man, very short in stature. He was no King Saul, who was a head taller than the average man in Israel.

But Zacchaeus had an idea 💡

He had to make his way through the crowd, like the woman with the issue of blood.

And in his determination and much like an exuberant little child, Zacchaeus decided that he would run ahead of the crowd and climb up into a tree!!

From the height of the the sycamore, he had a nice aerial view, but now he realized that he had never seen Jesus before.

How would he be able to pick Jesus out from between and betwixt his disciples, plus the congested crowd of folks- all tightly packed together, along the roadside.

He wondered if Jesus would look like Moses, with His face all aglow, or would He look just like an ordinary man??

Well as the crowds approached, and while Zaccheus was making every attempt to spot Jesus…Uh Oh!!

Jesus had spotted him!!

And He called Him By Name!!

  • And when Jesus reached the place, He looked up and said to him, Zacchaeus, hurry and come down; for I must stay at your house today. (Luke 19:5)

Oh My!! How did Jesus know Zacchaeus Name??

You see…Zacchaeus had a low opinion himself, much like his statue, he believed himself to be a minute, worthless, and wicked fellow.

Zacchaeus had climbed up into that tree, a rich man financially, but poor in spirit – possessing nothing more than a heart and a mind to know Christ, but How is it that Christ could possibly know him??

While Zacchaeus had been up in that sycamore, seeking, searching, and looking for Jesus…

In a million years, he could have never imagined that Jesus had come passing through Jericho looking for him!!

But there He was, standing before his very own eyes…Walking and Talking Salvation!!

Jesus had come knocking at Zacchaeus’ door, hoping for an open invitation to step over into the threshold of Zacchaeus’ heart.

Jesus Christ wanted to come and ‘sup’ with a sinner- like Zacchaeus!!

And as Jesus expressed his urgency to save Zacchaeus- today, he hastily climbed down out of that sycamore…confessing his sins before Jesus and repenting of all of his wrongdoings!!

You see…

Jesus had come to Jericho seeking him who was ‘not worth finding!!’

He had come to talk to the wretched sinner that nobody else was willing to talk to!!

He had come as the physician, making an urgent house call to see about his ‘sin sick’ patient, Zacchaeus!!

And now Zacchaeus was ready and willing to receive Jesus into the ‘heart’ of his Home!!

Yes!!

Zacchaeus joyfully welcomed Jesus into his home in Jericho!!

And although Zacchaeus remained in the city that was built under a curse, Jesus had found him, and now Zacchaeus was no longer kept captive, under the corruptible curse of sin!!

Luke 19:1-10

I Will Not Go- Without Deborah!!

– And Barak said to her, If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go. And she said, I will surely go with you; nevertheless, the trip you take will not be for your glory, for the Lord will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman (Judges 4:8)

Hey Neighbor!

Yesterday I did a Bible Study at my church and my topic was, ‘Faith-full’ Deborah and Israel’s captain of war, Barak.

Now this Lesson came from the Book of Judges 4:1-23. I will be sure include the link so you can go and check it out.

https://carenrcinesl.wordpress.com/2022/05/05/gods-faith-full-daughter-deborah/

You will need this if you are not familiar with this story.

So this morning, The Holy Spirit inspired me with more insight into Barak’s state of mind…so I will share what He shared:

********************************************

For Barak, she was the walking, talking, representation of God’s Living Word, sitting underneath a palm tree, and Barak felt fearless and confident in her presence.

Yes! He had heard the words that she spoke in his ears, but these words were not yet able to penetrate his heart.

Yes! Barak loved and believed God!

And Yes!!

He was willing to Go for God and for Israel!!

But without her by his side, Barak just couldn’t make his feet step forward – in the fullness of faith!!

Now we realize, as Peter did – only Jesus has the words of eternal life…but for Barak, Deborah’s words and her presence were the next and best thing!!

After all, she was the prophetess in Israel – God’s very own mouthpiece!!

When He (God) spoke, she spoke!!

How could he go without her??

The Words of Wisdom and Messages of Truth that God had inspired in Deborah were immeasurable. Yet, she did not store these truths up for herself and selfishly hold on to them and hide them in her heart!!

When God Spoke- She spoke!!

When God said: Call forth Barak, son of Abinoam!! – She called him!!

Encouraging him in the Lord!! Proclaiming that the Lord had also seen Barak’s heart and his willingness to fight for Israel!!

Deborah declared that The Lord was ready to deliver King Jabin and Sisera into Barak’s hands and He was ready to make those 900 chariots of iron- footstools for his feet!!

But still, Barak could not step forward without Deborah!!

He received and accepted her warning!!

He understood the consequences!!

Yet his feet stood firm- without Deborah – he would not go!!

Obviously, Barak was not overwhelmed with the lust for fame, nor the pride of life, because Barak was willing to share his victory in battle and his glorious triumph with a woman.

And what better woman to share God’s victory with, other than a woman like Deborah and a willing wife, like Jael!!

God’s ‘Faith-full’ Daughter – Deborah!!

Hey Neighbor!

Today is 5/5/2022 and Today our Lesson comes from the Book of Judges – Chapter 4:1-24.

Here is Our Story.

*******************************************

She sat under the Palm tree in Ephraim and daily advised and prayed for and with the Israelites. For once again, Israel was under slavery and oppression!

You see the Israelite’s had a tendency to forget God and to neglect His commandments once their leader/deliver had passed away.

Joshua had long since been buried, and the Lord raised up Caleb’s younger brother/son-in-law, Othniel as judge in Israel. He delivered Israel out of the hands of the King of Mesopotamia, Chushan-rishathaim.

After Othniel, the Israelites experienced peace and rest for 40 years, until they once again turned their backs on God.

The Lord’s anger was kindled, once more against Israel, but in his mercy, having heard his children’s prayers and cries, He raised up a left-handed deliverer/judge named, Ehud from the tribe of Benjamin.

During Ehud’s time as Judge, The Israelite’s had experienced 80 years of peace and rest from the Moabites, until Israel forgot the Lord their God and resumed worshipping the false gods of their pagan neighbors.

This is where we meet God’s ‘faith-full’ daughter, Deborah, an Ephraimite, and a wife of Lappidoth.

In Chapter 4 and verse 4, we also learn that Deborah was also a ‘prophetess.’

You say….What is a prophetess??

Well, this means that Deborah served as God’s mouthpiece to and for Israel, possessing the power and inspiration of the Spirit of the Lord to judge and govern Israel with Wisdom and Justice!

I can imagine, that Deborah spent much time praying for Israel and communing with God underneath that palm tree, as she waited patiently, in her judges ‘office’ to hear her next case.

In Judges 2:18 – Scripture tells us:

  • When the Lord raised them up judges, then He was with the judge and delivered them out of the hands of their enemies all the days of the judge; (Judges 2:18)

In total, the Israelite’s were governed by judges for more than 300 years, and the history and transactions of these Judges is recorded here in this Book.

Now Deborah was Israel’s current judge.

And Israel’s current enemy was Jabin, The King of the Canaanites and His General, Sisera and his 900 chariots of iron!!

Now the Spirit of The Lord impressed it upon Deborah to send for Israel’s General, Barak with these words:

  • Has not the Lord, the God of Israel, commanded [you], Go, gather your men at Mount Tabor, taking 10,000 men from the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun? And I will draw out Sisera, the general of Jabin“s army, to meet you at the river Kishon with his chariots and his multitude, and I will deliver him into your hand? And (Judges 4:6)

And here is Barack’s Response!!

  • And Barak said to her, If you will go with me, then I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go (Judges 4:8)

Now Deborah expressed no reluctancy in partnering and accompanying Barak to Mount Tabor, but she gave him this advanced warning:

  • And she said, I will surely go with you; nevertheless, the trip you take will not be for your glory, for the Lord will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. (Judges 4:9)

Now Deborah was not referring to herself here; she was actually referring to another woman, who we will soon meet named, Jael. The wife of Heber.

Now why is this significant?

Well, there was peace between the house of Heber, the Kenite, and the house of Jabin, King of Hazor.

In verse 4:12, we learn that it was ‘told’ Sisera, that Barak had gone up to Mount Tabor with 10,000 footman from the tribes of Zebulun and Naphtali.

Well…Who was the ‘snitch?’

It was Heber who had revealed Barak’s location, befriending and winning the favor of Sisera.

But don’t worry…Now we get to see how the Lord will use this evil deed for Israel’s good!!

As the story proceeds, we learn that Barak and his foot soldiers overtake and conquer Sisera’s 900 chariots. The Canaanite armies all fell by the sword- as predicted by the prophetess, Deborah!!

But here is the best part, in a panic, Sisera escapes from the battle on foot, and guess who is awaiting his arrival?

Why it’s Jael, Heber’s wife, standing outside of her tent!!

She welcomes Sisera into her tent, kindly receiving him, as he retreats from the battlefront.

He asks Jael for water; however being an excellent hostess, she gives him an upgrade- offering him milk instead!

Now he believes that he is safe and secure from Barak and the Israelites. And having let his guard down, he falls asleep, and he is in fact sleeping quite soundly….when as predicted once again by our ever- ‘faith-full’ prophetess, Deborah:

  • Jael, Heber“s wife, took a tent pin and a hammer in her hand and went softly to him and drove the pin through his temple and into the ground; for he was in a deep sleep from weariness. So he died. And behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him and said to him, Come, and I will show you the man you seek. And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the tent pin was in his temples (Judges 4:21-22)

So now we see the confirmation of Deborah’s warning and her prediction to Barak; that the Lord would sell Sisera into the hands of a woman, because of his hesitation and reluctance to faithfully act upon the Promises of God!!

This is an empowering story for women, because we oftentimes hear the heroic tales of men in the bible, and we read how God’s ‘man’ was used to save the nation of Israel…but here, we see that God can indeed use a ‘faith-full’ woman, like Deborah for the glory of His Kingdom and it is marvelous in our eyes!!

Super- Faith Sunday Answer 5/4 – Who am I??

Hey Neighbor!

It’s 5/4/2022 and I have the Answer to Sunday’s Riddle. It was a little tricky, depending on which version of the Bible you were reading from.

I read from the Amplified, so my answer reads like this:

– And Abraham said to the eldest servant of his house [Eliezer of Damascus], who ruled over all that he had, I beg of you, put your hand under my thigh; And you shall swear by the Lord, the God of heaven and earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I have settled, But you shall go to my country and to my relatives and take a wife for my son Isaac (Genesis 24:2)

Now some Bible versions did not include the servant’s name in Genesis 24:2, but a little deeper search reveals his name below, in Genesis 15:2

– And Abram said, Lord God, what can You give me, since I am going on [from this world] childless and he who shall be the owner and heir of my house is this [steward] Eliezer of Damascus (Genesis 15:2)

*********************************************

Under his thigh, I placed my hand

Then I traveled back to his homeland

To find the one and true bride-to-be

I pray she will accompany me

Back to my home, having completed my errand

I pray my master is pleased with his ‘faith-full’ servant

Who Am I??

*****************************************
I am Eliezer of Damascus

How Do We Magnify God??

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together-
(Psalms 34:3)

Hey Neighbor!

How Do We Magnify God??

Well, First things First…We can’t make God BIGGER than He already is…Lol!!

But We can make Him BIGGER in Our Everyday Lives.

We Magnify God when We Give Him First Place each day…Making Him our Top Priority.

In Sunday School, the children and I did a little activity and I thought it was an awesome activity to start the morning…

And not just for the children, but for ALL of Us…both BIG and small!!

It was an activity that showed the Children How to start their Everyday ‘WITH’ God.

Sometimes, I think We make prioritizing God in Our lives into a difficult process, or even a chore, as We try to systematically and legalistically, set aside a special block of time for God.

Then, We find Ourselves frustrated and discouraged…when We realize that We just can’t maintain this activity with any regularity…And eventually quit!!

But…I really enjoyed this Activity…and I think it is ‘Simplistically,’ Awesome!!

Here’s the Activity…

First – The Children were asked to pretend to: Yawn and Stretch…And ‘Pray.’

Easy Huh??

Praying is simply…talking to God!!

It Doesn’t matter how long or short You make the conversation…

Just Talk to Him!!

Try Greeting God with a simple, yet cheerful, ‘Good Morning!’

I suggest You aim to be Cheerful…On purpose…Even though You woke-up Grouchy…Lol!!

So…In Practice, The kids and I pretended to Yawn and Stretch, as We Greeted God with a Cheerful ‘Good Morning!!’

The next activity was to pretend to: Comb/Brush Your hair…and ‘Pray.’

So…as We pretended to brush Our hair, We Thanked God For A New Day and asked Him to help Us with Our Hair…and with choosing the right outfit for the day.

Wow!!

You mean…God really wants to help Us with Our Hair/makeup…and getting dressed??

In Romans 8:28, The Apostle, Paul writes,

-We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.-

Notice the Wording, ‘All Things.’
This is another easy concept!!

Because ‘ALL…means…ALL.’

So Yes!!…God really IS concerned about the BIG… and the small details in our lives.

God Already has a Good plan for Your Day…So Pray and Ask Him to help make You Look Fabulous!!

The next activity was to: Pretend to Eat Breakfast and ‘Pray.’

Now, Sometimes I forget to Say ‘Grace’…but even for those who diligently and faithfully say grace, before eating…Remember to Pray that Others will have enough food to fill their bellies as well.

So…In practice, As we pretended to Pour the milk over Our cereal, We Prayed…asking God to bless and provide for families and children that may not have enough to eat today.

My Friend, who is a Minister, reminded me of this recently, when she shared how God had sent someone to bless her family with an entire meal…Isn’t God Awesome!!

Finally…the last portion of this activity suggested that We ‘Pray’ as We walk out of our homes to face the issues of the day…that is…enroute to the school bus, the bus stop, or before heading out to your car.

The lesson plan left no suggestion for how We should ‘act-out’ this last activity…but I would like to suggest this:

Pretend to open Your door…Pause for Just a moment, before You Walk Out…And Pray this Prayer:
‘Lord, Give Me YOUR Grace to do the things that YOU would have Me to do today, as YOU order My steps, according to YOUR Plan and YOUR Purpose.’

My Favorite Prayer to Add On Is This:
‘Lord, Make Me Salt and Light in the World, today!!’

Salt – So that Others might thirst for The Living Well of Water…Who is Jesus Christ, in Me!!

And Light – As Jesus’ Light shines in and through Me, providing Light and Guidance for lost Brothers and Sisters…leading them out of the darkness…and into YOUR Marvelous Light of Salvation!!

-But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.-
(1 Peter 2:9)

So Keep it Simple…As You Magnify God!!

Start Your Day…Keeping God First Place, as You Incorporate Him into the daily routine of Your Everyday Life!!

*******************************************

Do You have a Simple, Morning Routine…As You Keep God First??

I would Love to Hear it!!

God’s ‘Faith-full’ Daughter – Miriam!!

  • NOW [Amram] a man of the house of Levi [the priestly tribe] went and took as his wife [Jochebed] a daughter of Levi. And the woman became pregnant and bore a son; and when she saw that he was [exceedingly] beautiful, she hid him three months (Ex 2:1)

Hey Neighbor!

Today is Friday, April 29th and It’s My Birthday!!

Today I am blessed by the Lord to have turned 49 years old. 🥳

Thank You Jesus!!🙏🏾

I am so grateful for one more day to bask in God’s glorious grace and His enduring mercies!!

Now, Today I also have Your Super- Faith Sunday Answer: Who Is She??

She is Miriam!!

**************************************

She is Moses’ older sister…and she was just a little girl when Moses’ mother, Jochebed hid Moses in a basket amongst the rushes by the brink of the Nile.

Scripture gives us very little background about Miriam in Exodus 2, but it does reveal her dedication and concern for her little brother, Moses.

Now can you imagine being present at a time like this??

Your infant sibling’s life has just been spared and preserved by one of God’s ‘faith-full’ midwives…

Remember, Shiprah and Puah feared and revered God and refused to carry out Pharoah’s live-abortion edict from the birthing stool!!

Now when this evil plan failed, Pharaoh decided to proceed with a more evil genocidal edict; killing all the male Hebrew children on site.

  • Then Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son born [to the Hebrews] you shall cast into the river [Nile], but every daughter you shall allow to live (Exodus 1:22)

This is where we first meet Miriam, at the Nile River – where she is watching and waiting to see what is to become of her baby brother Moses, who is in the papyrus basket.

No!!

Scripture does not give us very much insight into the heart and thoughts of this little girl- but there is a clear indication that she loves Moses and like most children, she regretted seeing her family torn apart by Pharaoh’s evil edict.

So we find ‘Faith-full’ Miriam present and – on the scene as her baby brother is rescued from the Nile by Pharaoh’s daughter!

Wow!

Look at that – God has sent the daughter of the Hebrew’s persecutor to deliver Moses – who would someday become the deliverer of the Hebrew people!!

God had sent Pharoah’s daughter as his Lifeguard to rescue him from the River and to rescind her father’s death sentence against this man child’s life.

When Miriam saw Pharoah’s daughter holding her brother, the spirit of the Lord must have caused her to spring into action with information, provision, and resources.

This little girl spoke up quickly – preserving her family…

‘Faith-fully’ recommending the child’s own mother to serve as his nurse, unbeknownst to Pharaoh’s daughter.

Miriam quickly ran to retrieve her own mother to come and receive Moses from the hands of Pharoah’s daughter; reuniting mother and son, and restoring the family unit, and ultimately removing the threat against Moses’ life!!

No longer would Jochebed be forced to hide and to hush her sons cries!!

No longer would Jochebed nurse her son in fear!!

No longer would should she lay awake at night, worrying and anticipating a thud at the door; as Egyptian soldiers break-in to raid her home and snatch her baby boy from the safety of her arms!!

Any threat to or against the life of this man child, Moses, would now be struck down by Pharoah- himself!!

God is ALWAYS FAITHFUL!!

Not only has God returned Moses to his own mother’s bosom, but He has also caused the Egyptian armies who sought his life to now serve as Moses’ very own bodyguards , protecting and securing the doors @ Amram’s House!!

And for the Double-Bonus Round…

God has even caused and required Pharaoh to provide Jochebed with compensation to care for, and to nurse her very own son!!

Amazing!!

Is there anything too hard or too wonderful for Our Lord??

Super- Faith Sunday Challenge 4/24 – Who Is She??

Hey Neighbor!

Today is Sunday, 4/24/2022 and for Us…

It’s another Super-Faith Sunday, where each Sunday, we feature one of the ‘faith-full’ females from the Bible.

Today we are in Exodus, with a ‘faith-full’ young girl, hoping and praying that God would rescue and spare the life of her little brother, who had been born into a time when a man child was seen as a threat; and therefore a evil millstone had been placed about his neck.

Here is Her Story.

****************************************

Month after month she had helped her mother keep the child’s cries concealed. She was dutiful and obedient in every way to help keep her little brother quiet and content – and unnoticed!!

You see, her baby brother was an unwanted child.

Not unwanted by her mother and father, for he was indeed a beautiful baby, and her mother had adored him instantly!

Not unwanted by her, nor her other (older) brother, because they were both ecstatic about the arrival of their baby brother.

But this child was unwanted by the government!!

In fact, many of the expectant mothers were worried sick, having heard rumors that the midwives had partnered with the government to injure and kill the Israelite newborns at the birthing stool.

She remembered watching Shiprah so closely, when her mother’s time to deliver the child had come.

Her mother was in great pain, but instead of holding the cool towel to her mother’s forehead, she seemed paralyzed, she was unable to take her eyes off the midwife.

She watched as Miss Shiprah’s eyes filled with tears. She noticed how intently the woman stared at the newborn…she saw how the midwife studied the infant…she saw her reluctance and noticed her long hesitation, before she had finally cut the male child’s umbilical cord.

They had successfully hidden her brother now for 3 months, but today her mother seemed very sad and she was behaving very strangely toward the child.

She watched her mother wrap the child up and put him in a basket. How perfectly content her baby brother seemed, as he lay inside the basket…

It was obviously a difficult day for her mother…

Her head was hung so low, and she heard her mother’s repetitive sighs and tearful groaning. Her mother left with the baby in the basket, slowly closing the door behind her…

But she secretly followed behind her mom, watching her and pondering…

Why was her mother in such despair??

Why had she hidden her brother in this strange basket??

And why was she taking them both toward the river??

Again she watched her intently, but from afar.

She needed to see what her mother had intended with that basket, and most of all, she wanted to see what would become of her beautiful baby brother.

She watched as her mothers fingers released the basket, and as the downstream current caught hold of it – and now he was off and away – down the Nile River!!

She followed him from the shoreline as the basket progressed downstream.

She felt her little heart pounding in her chest, as she looked all about for crocodiles and other predatory animals…but what could she do??

She listened for his cries, as she continued to watch and follow him.

Still walking along the shoreline, sometimes running alongside, but all the while praying that no evil would befall her beautiful little brother.

What else could she do for him now??

She was just a little child!!

Only God could save her baby brother now!!

Who Is She??

Solution Saturday Answers 4/23 – Who Are They??

Hey Neighbor!

It’s 4/23/2022 and It’s Solution Saturday!!

  • Then the king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, of whom one was named Shiprah and the other Puah, When you act as midwives to the Hebrew women and see them on the birthstool, if it is a son, you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, she shall live. But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded, but let the male babies live. (Exodus 1:15-17)

Question: Who Are They??

*********************************************

  • They were tasked by their ‘king’ to suppress the numerosity amongst the Israelites.
  • For fear of God, they resisted and refused to follow through on these evil orders.
  • God recognized them both, and blessed them with households of their own.

**********************************************

Answer: The Two Midwives, Shiprah and Puah

  • So the king of Egypt called for the midwives and said to them, Why have you done this thing and allowed the male children to live? The midwives answered Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women; they are vigorous and quickly delivered; their babies are born before the midwife comes to them. So God dealt well witthe midwives and the people multiplied and became very strong. And because the midwives revered and feared God, He made them households [of their own]. (Exodus 1:18-21)

Send Up A Smoke Signal…Pray!!

Hey Neighbor!

This Story is For Your Encouragement.

When All Seems Lost…You Are Not!!

God Knows Where You Are…So Don’t Give Up!!

image

Here’s The Story…

************************************

The only survivor of a shipwreck washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions.

But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened; everything was lost. He was stung with grief and anger.

“God, how could you do this to me!” he cried. Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. “How did you know I was here?” asked the weary man of his rescuers. “We saw your smoke signal,” they replied.

It is easy to get discouraged when things are going bad. But we shouldn’t lose heart. Remember next time your little hut is burning to the ground-it just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of God.

Bible Trivia Thursday – Who Are They??

And I will bless those who bless you [who confer prosperity or happiness upon you] and curse him who curses or uses insolent language toward you; in you will all the families and kindred of the earth be blessed [and by you they will bless themselves]. (Genesis 12:3)

Hey Neighbor!

It’s 4/21/2022 and Today is Trivia Thursday!!

Quoted above is the Promise God made to Abraham when he told him to do what I call the ‘Walk by Faith’ thing!!

God asked Abraham to abandon his home life, reject his traditions, and walk before God in obedience; to a destination – Unknown!!

Per the story in Genesis, we know that God is a Promise Keeper and He came through for Abraham, blessing him and his sons, Isaac and Jacob.

He made the names of these Patriarchs famous and Today we remain the beneficiaries of God’s Promises!!

I particularly love the verse above, where God promises that, “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you!!”

Thus- the Segue to today’s Trivia Question.☺️

Can You Name these 2 (two) individuals who refused to curse Abraham’s descendants??

These ladies risked their lives, as they disobeyed the Authorities in their land, like Rahab did in Jericho.

They refused to kill the Children of Abraham and Israel, instead they were a blessing to God’s people; serving as a wall of support and protection to these families.

And because they chose to reverence the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, God chose to Bless Them!!

Who Are They??

*********************************************

  • They were tasked by their ‘king’ to suppress the numerosity amongst the Israelites.
  • For fear of God, they resisted and refused to follow through on these evil orders.
  • God recognized them both, and blessed them with households of their own.

This Too Shall Pass!!

Whatever You Are Going Through- Walk Through It By Faith, and Not By Sight!!

-We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.
(2 Corinthians 4:8-9)

Hey Neighbor!

image

It’s been said that as We live this life, We will find that We are either;

Going through troubles..

Just coming out of troubles…

Or about to go through troubles…

For those of You going through today, I would like to Encourage You to Walk through it by Faith, and Not By Sight.

Take a Read through 2 Corinthians Chapter 4:

Paul tells Us that When we go through life’s tribulations; deterioration of the family, divorce and bitter separations, mental and emotional breakdown, financial woes, physical illness and pain, etc., If we will walk through it trusting in, and relying on God, then Our suffering is but a temporary, momentary, affliction…

And This Too Shall Pass!!

No!! Our troubles aren’t going to cease whenever we want them to; it’s not our own timing that’s important, but it’s God’s timing.

-But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God. My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. (Psalms 31:14-15)

Paul says that this current suffering that we are experiencing, in the natural, will produce great gains for Us spiritually and eternally.

So although we are experiencing suffering in this fleshly tent, and these bodies that we live in are dying and deteriorating daily, Paul reminds Us that the inner man- the Spirit Man- is being refreshed and renewed daily!!

Paul encourages Us, as he reminds us that although there is trouble all around Us…

As we we walk through with God, He will give Us peace…so we’re not stressed-out.

When we are confused and perplexed, He gives us His grace (his kindness, mercy and favor)…so we’re not left in desperation and despair.

When we’re persecuted and it seems we’re fighting battles on every hand, Praise God we’re never forsaken nor defeated because He causes Us to triumph over Our enemies.

Even when we are weak in the knees with fear and we fall down…it’s the Truth of God’s written Word that renews our Faith and Encourages Us Get up and Press On!!

Sometimes life’s roads appear to be rough, and rocky!!

And Yes!! Sometimes those mountains do look insurmountable, but your troubles won’t last always!!

God will give you hinds’ feet!!

And as you journey through these crooked places, with God’s Word in Hand and His Word hidden in Your Heart, you will make spiritual progress and You will make it out alright!!

By Faith, You will reach the summit – leaving your troubles and your sufferings far behind!!

So Be Encouraged Today!!

This Too Shall Pass!!

Keep the Faith and Carry On With God!!

-But without faith it is impossible to please him (Hebrews 11:6)

Hey Neighbor!

As I was making dinner a few weeks ago, my youngest son, Hubie, who is now 11, and also the ‘king of inquisitive’ asked me, “If there was anything that You could be or do…what would it be?” Well I hesitated for a moment, because as a young girl, I had always hoped to be a wife and a mother, above all other things. Having accomplished those feats in my life- and after nearly 27 years of marriage and having raised 4 children, three of them now adults- My answer now is that I just want to spend the rest of my life pleasing God!

I don’t think that was quite the answer my son was looking for, yet After thinking it over, He amazed me because he agreed that that was also the thing that He also strives for!

Well, how do we go about pleasing the Lord?

The great thing is…this is not a difficult or complicated task. After all, Jesus has already accomplished every imaginable feat and has sent his Holy Spirit to help Us with our daily walk, but He just asks Us, as believers, to trust in Him and His Word!!

The Writer of the Book of Hebrews reminds us that ‘without Faith, it is impossible to please the Lord!” But what exactly is Faith? Well again, in Hebrews we learn:

NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. (Hebrews 11:1)

Now that’s scripture from the Amplified Bible, which may still be a little difficult to break down, but what the writer is telling Us is that Faith is trusting in God and the declarations of His Word…and because we believe that He exists and that His declarations are equivalent to promises to the believer- although not visible, we take spiritual hold of them as Truth…while we pray and wait for the physical, proof to manifest itself.

I remember my husband and I were a very young married couple when we began to get serious about investing in real estate. We had finally accepted the Lord’s will for our lives and began to follow his Lead. We would seek out properties to rehab, and when we found the right one, we would drive by that house every night and sit out in front of the property declaring what our intentions were for cleaning, painting, and repairing, although our offer had not yet been accepted by the sellers. We called it a ‘claim-by!’

We believed The Lord for our House!! And We just carried on as if we had already held the keys to the front door in our anxious little fingers. We believed buying that house was in-line with God’s plan for our lives and We trusted that God was preparing those who He loved to come and talk shelter (as tenants) in our home and to receive His blessings – manifested through our hands into theirs.

What Are You Believing God For?

Is that ‘thing’ in-line with God’s Word?

Are You Believing God and Claiming that ‘thing’ as Yours- Before it Arrives?

Are You Believing God’s Word for your healing- Before the Test Results come Back??

Are You Believing God for Your husband – Before He kneels down to propose?

Are You Believing and Expecting Your Prodigal Child to come home- Before you actually hear the knock on Your Door?? I Am!! Lol!!

If So, God is Well Pleased with you Neighbor!! –

-You are My Son, My Beloved! In You I am well pleased and find delight (Luke 3:22)

So Just Keep the Faith and Carry on with God!!

Your Blessing is Forthcoming and It will Eventually Come To Pass, because He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him out!!

-For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out (Heb 11:6)

Super-Faith Monday – Who is He??

Hey Neighbor!

Yesterday was Resurrection Sunday and also Our Super-Faith Sunday- I hope yours was Blessed!!

Instead of recognizing one of our females of profound faith from the scriptures, I wanted to acknowledge ‘He,’ Who Was, and Is the Author and Finisher of our Faith!!

Who is He??

*****************************

He was born into the world without a biological father. Some men even questioned his parentage, because rumors had spread that his mother had gotten pregnant before she had married his ‘step-dad.’

His real dad was like no other. Always there for him, even when he walked hungrily through the wilderness. He sustained him with a food that his flesh could not perceive, but his spirit received heartily.

His enemy came after him when his flesh was at its weakest, but he learned that his power to prevail was in not in his might, nor in his flesh- but by his Spirit and ‘The Word,’ as his testimony.

He had an abundantly, loving heart. His was not stony- like others. He loved his step-dad, but he absolutely adored his father. He loved sharing his father’s teachings and always gave Him the full credit.

His effect on people, was miraculous and life altering- though his life was short-lived. He was a very young man when he died, yet there is so much that we have gained because he lived.

We have learned about his life on the pages of history; as he walked through the New Testament and where his existence was foreshadowed in the Old.

He was destined to be martyred from the very beginning. The prophets had predicted his birth and also his death. He was the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world!!

You see, The cross he could not evade nor avoid!! In the Garden of Gethsemane, His flesh battled with his spirit in protest. How could he endure the separation from his father??

His father asked him to put on filthy rags and to drink from a cup of corruption.

He nearly had a nervous breakdown, sweating blood and tears!!

But his father remained loving and compassionate, sending ministering angels to support him.

His friends had let him down- one had sold him out, the other denied him repeatedly. Still he loved his friends until the very end, and suffered a cruel execution for their failures and their wrong doings. The enormous burden of each and every sin was placed upon his shoulders.

You see, This Man was innocent of the crimes that they’d accused him of. But he didn’t say a word to proclaim his innocence. At Golgotha, He felt abandoned and forsaken by his father. This was his worst fear!!

But still He suffered for his friends and he died.

The wages for sin were not due him, but due us, instead.

But something amazing happened…three days after his demise.

When his friends ran to the cemetery…His body was not there!!

There were two angels there instead, seated where he had lain. They asked, Why do you look for the living amongst the dead??

You see the stone had been rolled away from the crypt!!

Death couldn’t hold him and the grave couldn’t keep him.

And Hell couldn’t handle him- He raided Hell and set the captives free!!

He snatched the keys to Death, Hell and the Grave!!

He rebuked that serpent, causing his venomous bite and sting to fail- At Last!!

He may have gone out like a Lamb- But He will return like a Lion!!

Who is He??

Jesus Is Our Burden-bearer!!

-Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment]…

Isaiah 53:4image

Hey Neighbor!

Today I’m sharing a poem that I read on bible.org. It’s titled, ‘Two Boxes.’

It’s just a little Reminder to Smile and Give Glory to Our God for Sending Us A Savior –
In Jesus….He’s Our Burden-bearer!!

Enjoy!!

***********
I have in my hands two boxes
Which God gave me to hold
He said, “Put all your sorrows in the black,
And all your joys in the gold.”

I heeded His words, and in the two boxes
Both my joys and sorrows I stored
But though the gold became heavier each day
The black was as light as before.

With curiosity, I opened the black
I wanted to know why
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.

I showed the hole to God, and mused aloud,
“I wondered where my sorrows could be.”
He smiled a gentle smile at me.
“My child, they’re ALL here with me.”

I asked, “God, why give me the two boxes?
Why the gold, and the black with the hole?”
“My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings…the black is for you to let go.”

*********

Even when it seems like Satan has launched an all out, full-scale attack against You, Remember…God is For You!!…and Jesus is Your Heavy Load-Lifter, Your Mind-Regulator, He’s Your Rock…Lean on Him, Because He Cares For You!!

Bible Trivia Thursday 4/14 – Solve My Riddle!!

 Hey Neighbor!

It’s Trivia Thursday!!

Let’s see if you can Solve My Riddle!!

*************************

This Riddle is pretty old. It was written by a woman in the late 1800’s.

The Answer is (1) word, and it’s (5) letters long.

*******************************

-God made Adam out of dust,
But thought it best to make me first:
So I was made before the man,
According to God’s holy plan.
My whole body God made complete,
Without arms, or hands, or feet.
My ways and acts, did God control
But in my body He placed no soul.
A living being I became,
And Adam gave to me a name.
Then from his presence, I withdrew,
For this man Adam I never knew.
All my Maker’s laws I do obey,
And from these laws I never stray.
Thousands of me go in fear,
But seldom on the earth appear.
Later, for a purpose God did see,
He placed a living soul in me.
But that soul of mine God had to claim,
And from me He took it back again.
And when this soul from me had fled,
I was the same as when first made;
Without arms, legs, feet, or soul,
I travel on from pole to pole.

My labors are from day to night,
And to men I once furnished light.
Thousands of people both young and old,
Did by my death bright lights behold.
No right or wrong can I conceive;
The Bible and its teachings I can’t believe.
The fear of death doesn’t trouble me;
Pure happiness I will never see.
And up in Heaven I can never go,
Nor in the grave or Hell below.
So get your Bible and read with care;
You’ll find my name recorded there.

God’s ’Faith-full’ Princess- Rahab!!

Hey Neighbor!

Today I have Your Answer to Our Super-Faith Sunday Challenge from 4/10.

This ’faith-full’ female’s name is, Rahab!!

And here is her story!!

*******************************************

She had quickly placed the red cord in her window- intentionally and strategically, but not for the purpose of luring a simple minded man to her ‘red light,’ near the entrance to Jericho.

Although this same scarlet cord may have been used for a marking and as a method to render her wages for her ‘services’ in times past, it was now being re-purposed for a shield of mercy.

It was now securely hung from her window as a sign- It communicated a message to the Israelite Armies to yield and to spare only the lives of those who dwelled inside of Rahab, the harlot’s home.

But no longer was she using her home for secluded stay to strangers, who had come seeking her sexual favors, she was now providing clandestine shelter to her family, and to her father’s household, as they desperately sought the grace and favor of the God of Heaven and Earth.

Rahab was no longer using her home as a den for sin, but now it was a safe-haven and a strong tower for the righteous!!

Yes!!

It had been confirmed that The Lord was about to take the city and destroy its’ inhabitants, but all who were ‘sheltered in place’ in Rahab’s house would be kept alive. Just as the first-born Israelites were saved from the death angel in Egypt.

You see, Rahab believed that the God of these Israelites, The One who had caused the waters and the waves to come crashing down upon Pharoah’s armies, would also cause the walls in Jericho to come crashing down; blotting out the lives of those who had refused to obey Him!!

But could this same God blot out the reproach and stigma of Rahab’s former disobedience??

Would she always be called ‘Rahab- the Harlot’ or could God He give her a ‘new name’ and call her a princess, like Sarah- the Mother of Nations??

Rahab chose to believe that her God was able!!

So She stretched forth her hand, and took hold to God’s – by faith, not looking back – like Lot’s wife!!

But with her eyes locked and loaded on her ‘fruit-filled’ future.

If God was able to bring forth life from Sarah’s dead womb, He could also give her new life-burying her past sins in the rubble that had once been called, Jericho.

I often wonder if Salmon was one of those 2 men who had come to Rahab that evening??

This we may never know, but we do know that God had transformed Rahab, and He clothed her in righteousness when she believed.

And she stretched forth her faith – putting it into action when she ’faith-fully’ delivered Joshua’s men out the treacherous hands of their pursuers.

And if Salmon had truly been one of those 2 men, hidden upon Rehab’s roof, how could he have hardened his heart against her, having seen her blind faith – Rahab believed in His God, yet she had not ‘eyed’ His marvelous works!!

Salmon would have seen Rahab’s courage, and how she confidently sided with him and his companion; showing him favor by boldly betraying her own country and thus, risking her life – for his.

She had been his eyes and ears, as he spied out the land. Rahab was Salmon’s inside informant, providing him testimony of how the inhabitants had feared the Israelites- She was the ‘seal’ that stamped his favorable report that he had submitted to Joshua.

Salmon’s eyes ceased to see this woman as simply a prostitute, instead…Salmon saw ‘marriage material.’

He saw a capable and industrious woman – who was by no means perfect, but who was much like the familiar, virtuous woman from Proverbs 31.

Salmon saw a woman who sought out wool and flax – that which she used to cover and protect him securely upon her roof!! (Prov 31:13)

Salmon saw a woman who had dressed herself with strength, and had used her strong and firm arms to let him down from her window. (Prov 31:17)

Prov 18:22 tells Us that when a man findeth a wife, he findeth a good thing!!

Well, Salmon had found a ’good’ thing in Rahab!!

Yes!!

Rahab became Salmon’s wife and mother to their son, Boaz.

Yes!!

That is the same Boaz who married Ruth!!

And check out the remaining genealogy from Matthew 1:5-6:

-Salmon was the father of Boaz (whose mother was Rahab). Boaz was the father of Obed (whose mother was Ruth). Obed was the father of Jesse. Jesse was the father of King David….

Now notice as you read through this genealogy, listed above👆The scarlet stains of Rahab’s past are no longer on the page!!

She is no longer Rahab, the Harlot – but simply Rahab.

She, who had once been called a prostitute, is now called a princess!!

Indeed God had transformed Rahab, and He caused her latter years to be better than her former; and God gave Rahab beauty, because by faith, she surrendered her ashes!!

Jesus Is Our LifeGuard!!

Hey Neighbor!

I usually keep a notebook at my nightstand, because the Holy Spirit likes to talk to me…while I’m asleep!! Lol

So anyway…I was going through one of my old Notebooks and I found this Lifeguard analogy that I had written about Jesus.

It was during a difficult time in my life when I felt as if I was going under…

BUT GOD was right beside me – preserving me and leading me to still waters!!

Here’s My Analogy.

*****************************

When We go swimming, we need to check to see if there is a lifeguard on duty, and we want to be aware of just where that lifeguard might be seated!!

Not so with Jesus as our LifeGuard – He is Aways on duty!!

There’s no need to search out his location, because He is always seated at the Right Hand of God, The Father…with His watchful eye on Us!!

But Lookout!!

satan is watching too, lurking about…trying to lure Us out into the deep waters, so we can lose our footing.

Then, he will stir up the winds and the waves of life and try to pull Us down!!

But Our Lifeguard is steadfast and True!!

He faithfully swims alongside of Us…and even when We’ve wandered too far out…He doesn’t leave Us nor forsake Us!!

So when it seems like the strong currents of life have overwhelmed You, and have left You flailing Your arms and gasping for air…

And as you struggle to keep Your head above the waters…

Remember that YOUR LifeGuard is an excellent swimmer!!

And He adores You!!

You have found special favor with Him, So You can just throw Your arms around Him – and lean in, knowing that He WILL surely preserve Your Life.

Get to KNOW Your LifeGuard on a first-name basis…Call on Him!!

His Name is Jesus!!

When We know Him…and have an intimate, personal relationship with Him…We learn to trust Him!!

We can believe in His Word!!

Jesus says that He is Our Firm foundation…and all those who become ‘sure-footed’ in Him, will make it safely to the Shores of Heaven!!

Jesus says He is our Rock and our Salvation, so Even though the devil has devised evil plots against you, and has formed weapons against you…

Those weapons don’t prosper when they’re under Jesus’ feet!!

Jesus has all authority over the Winds and The Waves – and He makes them behave!!

And He will put that roaring lion (satan) back in his cage.

Super-Faith Sunday Challenge 4/10 – Who Is She??

Hey Neighbor!

It’s a ‘day late and a dollar short,’ but Here is your Super- Faith Sunday Trivia Question for 4/10/2022.

Can You Guess the name of this Old Testament, ‘faith-full’ Woman of God??

Here are your clues!!

***************************************

She had heard rumors of the wondrous victories that The Lord had given to the Israelites; and although her neighbors were faint of heart after hearing about the terror of The Lord, she was not afraid!!

She courageously welcomed the two traveling Israelite men into her home. She secretly gave them lodging, and kept them from being discovered by their pursuers. She even assisted, as they hastily escaped from her city.

She had fervent hope, and confident expectation that ‘their’ God would reward her, and bless her father’s household by keeping them alive, because she had partnered with ‘their’ God’s plan to bring down the walls in her city.

She prayerfully and dutifully followed the instructions of these 2 men, down to the most minute details. She was so ‘faith-full’ to keep her part of the deal, believing these men could guarantee that her life would be saved.

But man’s temporary salvation was not enough for her, regardless of her sordid past.

She wanted the eternal salvation that could only come from the God in Heaven above. She believed that this same God could and would forgive her former sins and bless her latter years with victory and joy.

Indeed, ‘Her’ God did reward her ‘faith-fullness’ and He gave her as wife, to a direct descendant of the patriarchs – Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

How joyful she must have been when her great – great grandson was seated on the throne in Israel and she became a most merry ‘matriarch’ to a King!!

Who Is She??

God’s ’Faith-full’ Servant- Hagar!!

And He said, Hagar, Sarai“s maid, where did you come from, and where are you intending to go? And she said, I am running away from my mistress Sarai.  (Genesis 16:8)

Hey Neighbor!

Yesterday we unveiled our ‘Faith-full’ Female of the Week – Hagar.

First, I have to say thanks to Beverley, from her blog – ‘Becoming the Oil and the Wine’ for submitting another correct answer to our Super Faith Sunday Challenge- where each week – we highlight 1 ’faith-full’ female from the Bible.

Beverley is 2 For 2!! 💕💕

Thanks so much, Beverley👏👏👏👏

Now when we first meet Hagar she was simply an Egyptian servant girl, gifted to Abram in exchange for Sarai.

Now this is of course before God sent Abraham (father of a multitude) and Sarah (Princess) down to the Social Security Office to document their official name changes.🤣 (Genesis 17:5, 15)

You do Remember that God changed both of their names, but that’s a story for another day…today we are focusing on Hagar, Abram, and Sarai!!

Now while Sarai and Abram were temporarily living in Egypt, Pharaoh had taken Sarai into his harem, convinced by Abram that Sarai was nothing more than his beloved sister!!

I know- Abram and Sarai were ‘extra,’ as the kids like to say!! 😂

I guess that’s why God changed their names – to settle those two down – Lol!

So Anyway, Let’s try to stay focused on Hagar- She was a handmaid gifted to Abram in Egypt, as a sort of dowry from Pharoah to Abram, in exchange for Sarai joining his harem.

She (Hagar) accompanied Abram and Sarai and their caravan of sheep, oxen, he-donkeys, menservants, maidservants, she-donkeys, and camels departing from Egypt…After a plague-afflicted Pharaoh ran them both out of town for their ‘tall tales!’- 🤯I will spill tea on this another day🫖

So at this point Abram remained childless, and Sarai remained barren.

But Sarai had a bright idea 💡

She decided to give Abram her Egyptian  Handmaid, Hagar to wife (secondary), in hopes that Hagar would conceive a child by Abram and thus, she would serve as a surrogate mother for Abram’s son and heir.

This was not a God-Approved Idea!!

Well, Sarai didn’t have to exert too much effort in order to convince Abram to go along with her hair-brained scheme and before you know it…Hagar is pregnant!!

Now after Hagar conceived, as my mother would’ve said, “Sarai had gotten beside herself!’

She looked down her nose at Sarai- forgetting her place- She was still just a servant and only a secondary wife, but Hagar was exalted in her own eyesight.

Now when Sarai complained to Abram- the two of them played the blame game for a while- Until a vengeful Sarai, once again takes matters into her own hands.

Now after being harshly afflicted by a ‘wrath-filled,’ overly-impassioned Sarai, Hagar runs as far as she can from home- hoping to run as far as Egypt!!

But no matter how far Hagar had attempted to run to get away from Sarai- She could not outrun God!!

God saw Hagar!!

And although she felt inclined to run from her mistress, in her self-exalted mindset, God had not approved of Hagar’s misguided departure.

God spoke to Hagar, calling her, “Sarai’s maid,” Reminding her that for 10 years, she had been blessed and favored in Abram’s household as a servant, until she permitted pride to overtake her.

The Angel of the Lord admonished her and encouraged Hagar to repent- and to turn away from Egypt, and the Godless, idolatrous lifestyle that she had once known and instead….now take up His yoke of humility and return to her husband Abram, and submit to her mistress, Sarai!

Trusting that He had seen her tears, and had heard her complaints about her mistress, if she would receive Him as her Lord, He would watch over her and give her a hope for the future and a prosperous outcome for her offspring.

  • See now, you are with child and shall bear a son, and shall call his name Ishmael [God hears], because the Lord has heard and paid attention to your affliction.  (Genesis 16:11)

God had called Hagar out of Egypt for a purpose, and her future was pre-destined for God’s plans and purposes!!

Hagar Believed God’s spoken promise, taking  hold of it as an undeserved gift!!

After she had returned to herself, Hagar realized how blessed she had been in God’s presence. The very same God, whom her husband Abram had worshipped daily, He had now seen and acknowledged her- showing His love and concern for her, a lowly Egyptian handmaid.

In recognition of her transformational encounter with God, Hagar memorialized the well of water where she had met The Angel of the Lord as, ‘Beer-lahai-roi’- A well to the Living One Who sees me (Genesis 16:14)

Cancel Your Pity Party!!

Hey Neighbor!

This is a little story that Joyce Meyer Reads at her conferences…I always enjoy it, and I hope you will too!!

Here’s The Story…

************************************

-I had not really planned on taking a trip this time of the year And yet I found myself packing rather hurriedly. This trip was going to be unpleasant and I knew in advance that no real good was going to come out of it.

You see, I’m talking about my annual ‘Guilt Trip.’ I got tickets to fly there on ‘Wish-I-Had’ Airlines. It was an extremely short flight. I got my baggage…which I could not check… I chose to carry it all the way, myself. It was weighted down with a thousand memories of ‘what might have been.’

No one greeted me as I entered into the terminal to ‘Regret City International Airport.’
I say international, because you see… people come from all over the world To this dismal town.

As I checked into the ‘Last Resort Hotel,’ I noticed they would be hosting this years most important event, ‘The Annual Pity Party.’

Well, I was not about to miss that great social occasion, because many of the town’s leading citizens would be there.

First You see, there would be the ‘Done’ Family…You know ‘I Should’ve Done,’ ‘Would’ve Done,’ and ‘Could’ve Done.’ Then there came the ‘I Had’ Family.
You know Old ‘Wish’ and his clan…’Wish I Had.’

Of course The ‘Opportunities’ would also be Present…’Missed’ and ‘Lost.’

The biggest family there, though would be the ‘Yesterdays’…There are far too many of them to count, but each one of them would have a very sad story to tell.

Then ‘Shattered Dreams’ would make his appearance. ‘It’s Their Fault’ would regale us with his stories and excuses of how things had failed in his life.

And each one of them would be loudly applauded by ‘Don’t Blame Me’ and ‘I Couldn’t Help It.’

Well to make a long story short, I went to this depressing party knowing there would be no real benefit in doing so…and as usual, I became very depressed, as I thought about all the stories of failure brought back from the past.

Then it occurred to me, that this trip and subsequent pity parties could be cancelled by me. I started to truly realize that I did not have to be there and I didn’t have to be depressed.

One thing kept going through my mind… I can’t change yesterday, but I do have the power to make today a wonderful day.

I could be joyous, happy, fulfilled, encouraged, and encouraging… knowing this…

I left the city of ‘Regret’ immediately!!

And Yes… I am sorry for the mistakes I’ve made in the past, but there’s no physical way of undoing them.

So if you’re planning a trip back to the city of ‘Regret,’ please cancel all your reservations, now!!

Instead, take a trip to a place called, ‘Starting Again.’ I liked it so much better that I’ve now taken up permanent residence there.

My new neighbors, The ‘I Forgive Myself’s,’ and The ‘New Starts’ have been very helpful to me.

Oh!…and by the way, you don’t have to carry any heavy baggage around there, because the load is lifted from your shoulders upon arrival.

God Bless you in finding this great town..And if you can find it (if it’s in your heart), please look me up…I live on ‘I Can Do It Street.’

Bible Trivia Thursday- Life Beyond 120!!

Hey Neighbor!

I was talking with a friend just the other day about how Moses had lived a full life and even though Moses never got the chance to step his foot onto the Promised Land, his eyesight was still sharp and he still had a spring in his step at 120 years old.

Moses maxed out his livelihood at 120, according to Genesis 6:3, where God tells us that He was done putting up with humans for hundreds and hundreds of years.

Prior to that, Adams descendants- all the way up to Noah lived extremely long lives. Like Seth who lived to be 912 years old, or even Lamech who lived for 782 years.

Did you know that Lamech also had a son named, Methuselah, who is on record for having lived the longest life ever??

Can you guess how old Methuselah was when he gave up the ghost??

***********************************

Now What about these Patriarchs and their sons??

  • Abraham
  • Ishmael
  • Isaac
  • Jacob
  • Joseph

How old were they when they gave up their ghosts??  And Can you Place them in Chronological order according to the length of their lifespans??

For Example:

1. Methuselah(969) 2. Seth(912) 3. Lamech (782)

**********************************

I’m pretty Sure You Are Going To Need Your Bibles for this one!!

And no cheating with your Bible apps or internet🤣

GO! And SURELY, You Shall Recover ALL!!

-David was greatly distressed, for the men spoke of stoning him because the souls of them all were bitterly grieved, each man for his sons and daughters. But David encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord his God- (1Samuel 30:6)

 Hey Neighbor!

image

Sometimes We need to take a moment to ponder and meditate on the Awesomeness and Faithfulness of God!!

And as We remember and Reflect on God’s Goodness, We too will find Ourselves, like David, ‘Encouraged in The Lord.’

Here’s David’s Story…

**************

OH, how David’s faith in God must have been shaken. He was greatly distressed. He was now King Saul’s most wanted enemy!!

You see, Saul viewed David as a threat to his throne and as a potential claimant to the throne- David was to be immediately exterminated.

Saul wanted David- Dead or Alive!!

David had been dejected by the Israelite armies and had now foolishly defected to the Philistine Armies, under King, Achish.

But King Achish’s sons refused to permit David to fight in the battle against his former comrades, fearing that, during the heat of battle, David would have a change of heart, and would return and begin to fight in favor of his first love- Israel!!

And so David was sent away, back to his town of refuge- Ziklag.

Upon his return, David was astounded to find his home and lands had been burned to the ground and all of his possessions had been taken, including his wives and children!!

Verse 30:4 tells Us that David and his men were devastated. They fell to the ground, grieving in bitter sorrow…and they weeped and weeped…until they had no strength left.

Here, We find David in a mental, emotional, and spiritual pit…And just when David believed that all had been lost, except for his Mighty Men, his ‘faithful friends’ in times of trouble- his ‘ride or die comrades’ – They had also turned against David and were now threatening to stone him!!

Why??

Well, David’s men had decided that David was to blame for this devastating tragedy.

After all, it was David’s foolish idea to abandon the wives and the children, leaving them helpless and unprotected in Ziklag, and to go and fight along side Israel’s enemies, on the wrong side of a war.

So David finds himself in a state of confusion, mourning his own loss but also stressed-out, and overwhelmed with fear and guilt for his comrades’ losses.

But David had learned not to count God Out!!

David begins to remember God’s Faithful Feats!!

David remembered that God had given him victory over the nearly 10ft Giant, Goliath!!

David remembered how God had caused him to evade and escape from King Saul’s javelin!!

David remembered that God had given him 600 trustworthy companions to protect him and and to serve with him!!

Unfortunately, It was these same trusted 600 who were now threatening to kill him!!

Now as David was reflecting on How God had always been present and active during his toughest trials – having never forgotten him nor forsaken him- David realized that his sorrow had begun to subside, his head wasn’t hung quite so low…

He also noticed that his soul was no longer so downcast!!

And as David continued to meditate and ponder on God’s marvelous works- He found himself ‘Encouraged in the Lord!’

So David returned to himself with a renewed hope in God!!

David sought the Lord in Prayer, asking Him for guidance and instruction.

And God Answered David!!

God told David to pursue the troop that had burned Ziklag – Reassuring David that He and His comrades would recover absolutely everything!!

God said, Go! And Surely, You Shall Recover All.

-David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, I pray you, bring me the ephod. And Abiathar brought him the ephod. And David inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them? The Lord answered him, Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all-

(1 Samuel 30:7-8)

Take the time this week to Read Through 1 Samuel 27-30 and ‘Encourage Yourself in the Lord.’

Super-Faith Sunday Answer – ‘Faith-full’ Sarah

Hey Neighbor!

It’s Tuesday, and Today I have your Super-Faith Sunday Answer!!

*****************************

Now what kind of answer do you give your husband when he wakes you up at the crack of dawn and then ushers you to quickly pack a bag and says, “Let’s go!!

As she wipes the sleep from her barely opened eyes, she says, “Abe, Where are we going??”

We know that his Answer could have only been – “I don’t know yet, baby…but come on…let’s go!”

Now this is a really good wife right here – This Sarai!!

She could have rolled right on over and told this man to lay his crazy tail down, but instead she ‘faith-fully’ and dutifully grabs her most essential things and follows her husband.

In Hindsight, we know that Sarai and Abram were headed to the land of Canaan, but at that time, they were leaving Haran, with no destination in mind, merely following the command of a voice that they did not recognize.

This was a new kind of ‘god’ to them- not one of their voiceless and sedentary images that they were accustomed to worshipping

This one spoke- and quite powerfully too, but not in a scary or spooky sort of way, but most emphatically!!

God had called Abram, awakening Him with the Words, “Go!”

  • NOW [in Haran] the Lord said to Abram, Go for yourself [for your own advantage] away from your country, from your relatives and your father“s house, to the land that I will show you. (Genesis 12:1)

Now – I’m pretty sure I just heard Him say Go, but He didn’t really say- Where??

That’s Right!! God was doing what I call His, ‘walk by faith thing.’ In other words…

Trust My Words for now- and I will fill in the gaps later!!

Now, These ‘Words’ were spoken to Abram- not Sarai. Of course we know Lot is just along for the ride- Now that’s another story for another day-🫖 Because Today, I am suppose to be telling You about Sarah!!

So this ‘faith-full’ wife follows her husband…

Who is following an unknown voice…

and Lot is following them!!

Wow!!

But Seriously Now- Abraham has heard the voice of The One True and Living God- The God Who produced and formed the world and all things in it -The Lord of heaven and earth!!

Abraham has heard God and has believed- and because Sarah is a loving , patient, and ‘faith-full’ wife, She will follow this Man wherever His God leads him!!

Whether it be to Egypt – Where Abe Gives her away to Pharaoh, saying “She is my sister!”

Or Whether it be to Gerar- Where once again, Abe Gives her to another king, Abimilech, saying, “She is my sister!”

Sounds like a Story we would hear about on Divorce Court- huh??

But let’s have a little Patience with Old Abe, after all- He is still following God!!

In fact, Abe has established a relationship with God and the Two of them are bonding- although Abe makes a mess from time to time!!

Now Sarah, is still following her husband and during those 25 years at his heels,

She has gone along with the ‘She’s my Sister’, act!! (partially true)

She has gone along with the name change thing!! Sarai vs Sarah!!

She has heard all the Promises!! (second-hand)

But Sarai still has had no visit from God, nor a son- as promised!!

She grew impatient, angry, disappointed, and extremely jealous because of Abe and Hagar and their son, Ishmael!!

You see…All the riches that she received in Egypt and in Gerar were not enough to fill her empty womb…Until God Shows Up for Sarah!!

Yes!! Finally! A One-on-One visit with God!!

No!! Not with Abraham as a ‘go-between!’

God shows up in Sarah’s life and gives her His Personal Promise!!

And unlike Abe, When God makes a Promise, He Keeps It!!

God Gave Sarah a Son and Called Him Laughter!!

Why Laughter??

You see when God showed up the year prior, visiting Abe, and promising him a child through Sarah…Sarah heard all these things and Laughed!!

-And the Lord asked Abraham, Why did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I really bear a child when I am so old? (Genesis 18:13)

Well, Sarah denied that she Laughed!!

After all, She was 89 years old!!

But just one year later, God Showed and Proved Himself in Sarah’s life – breaking through her stubborn unbelief!!

God showed Sarah that nothing is impossible with Him, and that nothing is too hard or too wonderful for the Lord!!

Sarah, like Abraham, was now a firm, and righteous believer in The Almighty God!!

He was no longer ‘Abraham’s God,’ but He was now Sarah’s God- And That Same God called Sarah, ‘Faith-Full!!’

How To Get ‘Full on God’

..He who has a glad heart has a continual feast [regardless of circumstances].
(Prov 15:15)

Hey Neighbor!Anybody that knows my children, know that they can ‘throw down’ at the dinner table. They can really eat!!

Recently, some members of my church family got a bird’s eye view of my younger son, Hubie, in action…but by no means can he compete with my oldest son, Dewitt, who is Autistic.

Everybody is amazed at how much Dewitt can eat. Now, he is quite slender, but he has a ravenous appetite.

From time to time, our church invites the children to a buffet, after church…and Dewitt goes wild!!

Normally, I am pretty quick to remind Dewitt that he has had enough to eat, because he has a tendency to gorge himself, but on buffet dates, Dewitt gets the ‘Green Light’ from Mom. His little heart is so happy, because he gets to enjoy himself, on a continuous food feast.

He takes full advantage of this freedom…and every time I look up…he’s back at the buffet bar, filling up another plate.

Wow!! Just sitting there watching him, I think to myself….if only we had that type of appetite for God’s Word…We would be Spiritually Fat and Full!

Proverbs 15:15 says that our heart, like Dewitt’s, is glad, regardless of the circumstance, when we continually feed upon His Word.

You know what…Our Father offers us a Spiritual Buffet and there are so many good things to fill our Spiritual plates @
‘God’s Buffet.’

There’s the Fruit Bar:
Galatians 5: 22-23
-Where the Holy Spirit is serving up love, peace, joy, goodness, kindness, patience, meekness, faithfulness, and self-control….Man!! I’m just about full on that, Already!! Lol

Then, there’s Jesus, serving up a Heavenly meat entree at the table of Eternal Life:
John 6:55-56
– And everyone is welcome to come and eat the meat of His flesh and drink of His blood unto Salvation.

Now, to quench your thirst, Jesus is Also serving up refreshments at the
Bar of Revelation:
22:17
– He’s inviting everyone who needs their soul refreshed, to come and drink the water of Everlasting Life…..And can you believe this??…….The ReFills are FREE!!

When we realize that our cravings can only be satisfied by God and His Word, we learn to take advantage of every opportunity to indulge ourselves in reading and hearing His Word, therefore partaking of God’s ‘Spiritual Smorgasbord’….Wow!!

I’m reminded of Jesus, in John 4:30-33, when He got ‘FULL’ on God:
Jesus had sent his disciples away to go and purchase food, while he rested at the well, in Samaria. When they returned with the food, they begged him to eat, but he refused to eat. So they assumed that someone else had already brought him food, but Jesus explained to them that His Spirit was Full on God’s Words; as He habitually communed with His Father.

The Bible = God’s thoughts and Words penned to paper by the Holy Spirit, and when we continually, commune with God, by reading and hearing…and hearing His Words, regardless of our current life struggles, We can have a Continual Feast… and a Full…Happy Heart.

Let’s Pray today, that Our Father will increase our Spiritual Appetites for His Word and teach Us how to get
‘Full on God!’

In Jesus’ Name

Amen

This is your formal invitation to God’s Buffet …RSVP Now!!

He is waiting to fill both Your Spiritual Plate AND Your Cup…Enjoy!!

Super-Faith Sunday Challenge 4/3 – Who is She??

 Hey Neighbor!

Today is 4/3/2022 and It’s Super-Faith Sunday!!

This past week, Our Super-Faith Female of the week was Leah, Jacob’s lesser-loved wife, who had blessed her husband with 7 children, in hopes that he would someday love her as much as he had loved his preferred wife, Rachel.

And although Leah was not the wife that Jacob had chosen first, God caused her to prevail as the primary wife because Leah learned to seek The Lord, first and foremost!!

-But seek ( aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides. (Mat 6:33)

********************************************

This week’s ‘faith-full’ female from the book of Genesis, was not as prayerful as Leah, because she didn’t know The Most High God.

She was raised up amongst the idolaters in the land, but her husband had grown weary of this  lifestyle and could no longer dwell contentedly in his father’s idol worshipping household.

He was ready to Go!!

She was a ‘faith-full’ and dutiful wife, so she was found agreeable to just ‘get up and go’ with her husband- leaving behind everything that she was comfortable and familiar with.

She was now departing from her home, her family, and even her frivolous gods.

She was following her husband, supporting his dream, as he sought after the fulfillment of his new faith.

It was evident that she loved her husband, but he denied her in public, yet he still attempted to show her love ‘in secret’ – He couldn’t help it – She was Beautiful!!

Indeed she was!!

In fact- she was so beautiful that kings of nations longed to have her, and bestowed tremendous treasures into her bosom.

But You see…the only treasure she truly longed for was a son to nurse at her breast.

Like Rachel, she was beautiful – but barren.

Her reproductive timeclock was ticking, and and everyday she worried that she was too far beyond in years to hope for a child- but The True and Almighty God said- Not So!!

He visited her and promised her the joy and laughter of a son- in her old age.

And Although she was afraid to stretch forth her ‘fresh’ faith towards such a promise that was beyond her own biology, this promise reignited a hope in her that she was unable to quench.

She waited and waited, both patiently- and impatiently!!

But eventually, The Almighty God ‘full-filled’ His Promise to her!!

Her Laughter had come!!

In her exceeding and abundant joy, she proclaimed that, “All who hear of this will also Laugh with me!!”

And now….Her ‘fresh’ faith in God would fail her no more- This Woman was ‘faith-filled’ and ready to Keep on Fighting the Good Fight of Faith!!

Who Is She??

This one is really easy, but I will be ‘faith-full’ to post the Answer for you on Tuesday!!

Oldie But-A- Goodie Friday!!

Hey Neighbor!

I originally posted this in January of 2015.

Enjoy!!

*****************************

I wanted to share this little story that I found. It’s kinda funny, but it’s just another reminder that
Although We Have Not been Perfect…CHRIST Has Perfected Us!!

God Wants You👈…Just the Way You are…and He can make You Better!!

Here’s the story…

Sometimes do you ever wonder why God called you to do something for Him? There are many reasons why God shouldn’t have called you, or me, or anyone else for that matter, but God doesn’t wait until we are perfect to call us. Think of all those God used. You’re in good company if you think you aren’t ready for God to use.

Abraham lied…Sarah laughed at God’s promises.
Moses stuttered.
David’s armor didn’t fit.
John Mark was rejected by Paul.
Timothy had ulcers.
Hosea’s wife was a prostitute.
Amos’ only training was in the school of fig-tree pruning.
Jacob was a liar.
David had an affair.
Solomon was too rich.
Jesus was too poor.
Abraham was too old.
David was too young.
Peter was afraid of death.
Lazarus was dead.
John was self-righteous.
Naomi was a widow.
Paul was a murderer.
So was Moses.
Jonah ran from God.
Miriam was a gossip.
Gideon and Thomas both doubted.
Jeremiah was depressed and suicidal.
Elijah was burned out.
John the Baptist was a loudmouth.
Martha was a worry-wort.
Mary may have been lazy.
Samson had long hair.
Noah got drunk.
Did I mention Moses had a short fuse?
So did Peter, Paul and lots of folks.

But God doesn’t hire and fire like most bosses because He’s more like our Dad than a boss. He doesn’t look at financial gain or loss. He’s not prejudiced or partial, nor sassy and brassy, nor deaf to our cry. He’s not blind to our faults. His gifts to us are free. We could do wonderful things for others and still not be wonderful – ourselves.

Satan says, “You’re not worthy!”

Jesus says, “So what??…I AM.”

Satan looks back and sees our mistakes.

God looks back and sees the Cross!!

Bible Trivia Thursday 3/31 – Who is ’This Bully’ in the Bible??

Hey Neighbor!

On Tuesday night, my girl-friend Kim and I did a Facebook lesson on ‘Faith-full’ Friends and Our Motherly Concerns for Our Disabled Sons.
Kim and I both have Adult Sons with Autism.

Here is a link to Our Facebook Bible Study:

Our Lesson was derived from 1 Samuel 18, Where David and Jonathan first met and became loving and ‘Faith-full’ Friends. They were closer than brothers- in fact they were brothers-in-law.

Now in order to understand the strength of Jonathan’s and David’s Relationship, You must first understand Jonathan’s father, Saul.

Saul was a failed king, rejected by God to rule over Israel.  Saul was a psychotic, angry, envious, and egomaniacal mess, who got his jollies off by tormenting David!!

In other words, Saul was a Bully!!

He treated David as an enemy to the throne, even placing a warrant out for him:

Wanted: David, son of Jesse – dead or alive!!

For those who know how the story ends –

Saul was slain and David reigned!! 🤣

Evil Will Never Prevail!!

Now Saul is not the first, nor the last bully that we’ve read about in the Bible. There are quite a few more. In today’s Trivia Challenge, I have listed 10(ten.)

Now Some of these bullies are Male, And a few are Female.

30 Pieces of Silver!!

Hey Neighbor!

Recently, I was asked by one of the ministers of my church to participate in a new online outreach program called ‘Thirty Pieces of Silver.’

During Covid- Our Membership at Bethany had drastically declined and 30 pieces was initiated as an attempt to reach out to the members of the church who were hindered from attending Sunday Services in person.

We were also hoping that 30 pieces would appeal to the online listeners- who have not yet visited the church, but still had a desire to come out. These are the folks on our radar- The Silent Membership- those that have been watching the Sunday Morning Message, but would like to gain more information about the individual members of the congregation, before they take their next step.

We are about 3 months in now and 30 pieces is thriving and we are successfully reaching our target audience, so I thought I would share a couple of the messages with you.

We are first-time Facebook amateurs, so please be patient with Us!!

My girl-friend, Kim and I were the first of the members to take the baton for 30 pieces and our first Lesson was 2/8/2022. Our Topic was on The Holy Spirit.

This is Our Second and Most Recent Video dated, 3/29/2022. Our Topic was on Friendship and Support For Our Disabled Adult Children.

Jesus Has A Warrant Out For Your Salvation!!

-Or what woman, having ten [silver] drachmas [each one equal to a day’s wages], if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and look carefully and diligently until she finds it-
(Luke 15:8)

Hey Neighbor!

image
Jesus was an Awesome Story Teller….

In Luke 15:8-10, He Tells a Parable about a woman who had lost a coin…Well this woman had obviously misplaced one of her silver coins and had begun to despair over it. Now when she realized that one of the coins was missing, it must have been in the evening time, because scripture tells us that she needed light…so she lit a lantern.

You see…this woman couldn’t rest because she needed to locate the thing that she had lost…and she needed the light to help her navigate her way through the maze of furniture, in the darkness.

So She began to clean her house…Can you picture her sweeping the dirt floor, bending down to look underneath the furniture and peering behind the doors, emptying baskets, and wiping the dust from the tables. We don’t know how long the woman searched…but it is quite possible that she was up all night…she was steadfast and determined to spot out her lost coin of silver…when suddenly, her eyes finally noticed the sparkle of the coin, reflected by the light. She had found it!!…and what did she do??

She ran to her neighbors houses, awaking them…to share the Good News, so that they might come to celebrate this joyous occasion!!

-And when she has found it, she summons her [women] friends and neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the silver coin which I had lost-
(Luke 15:9)

The thing that was lost..was now found!!

***********

So what’s so significant about this story??

Well Jesus has been looking for You…He has been shining His Light of Salvation out for You!!

Stop Running!!

Stop Hiding!!

Let Him Find You!!

And Let His Love come upon you…

because No matter what you’ve done in the past…

…and no matter how long you’ve been running from Him…

Jesus Still Wants You!!

Let His Holy Spirit come in and Clean-Up Your Spiritual House – From top to bottom – From the inside out!!

Receive Jesus Today – Pray This Prayer:
I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He took on ALL of my sins on the Cross at Calvary and died in my place.

Jesus, I welcome you into my heart and want You to be the Lord of my Life. I believe that today I have received Your Holy Spirit, as a security deposit and as a guarantee of My Salvation!!

Jesus, Thank You for Saving Me!!

*******
If You Just prayed this prayer…Guess What??

You Are Saved!!

And….Now there is a celebration going on in heaven!!

And…This Party is Just For You!!!

So Go!!…Run and Tell Your Neighbors that You have been Saved…and invite them to Your Salvation Party!!

Guess What…Jesus Will Be There!!

-Even so, I tell you, there is joy among and in the presence of the angels of God over one [especially] wicked person who repents (changes his mind for the better, heartily amending his ways, with abhorrence of his past sins-
(Luke 15:10)
