Super-Faith Sunday Riddle – Who Was She??

Hey Neighbor!

It’s Sunday, August 7th and your riddle is ready. I believe you can solve it…just stand strong and hold steady!!

Grab Your Bibles and Have Fun🤩

********************************************

When a follower of Jesus suddenly fell ill,

Her friends refused to accept her death was God’s will

She had done so much to help the downtrodden and poor

She proved faith was not dead, by her works all the more

Her light had burned out, still she kept those warm who had need

Her friend’s cries moved the rock, when he saw all her deeds.

The Lord loved this woman, who had given with cheer

When prayers for her were sent up, God was ‘faith-full’ to hear.

More Solution Saturday!!

Hey Neighbor!

Today I have Solutions for Our Trivia Tuesday and Our Trivia Thursday Questions.

I have included the Trivia Questions, as well as This week’s Trophy Winners🤩

*******************************************
Here is Tuesday’s Trivia Question.

******************************************
Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, judged Israel at that time. She sat under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites came up to her for judgment (Judges 4:4)

Now, The Scripture above tells us that Deborah sat underneath the Palm tree in Israel…that was of course her office, where God’s people sought her for wise counsel, because she was God’s spokesperson at that time, as well as ‘governor.’

Yes! Deborah sat in the office of both Prophetess and Judge in Israel.

Deborah was Israel’s 4th Judge, and the only woman that served in that ‘office,’ from Onthniel to the Prophet, Samuel.

Now, although Deborah ruled as God’s first female Judge in Israel, she was not the first woman to be called God’s Prophetess!!

Indeed there were several women in the Bible, who carried the weight of this ‘title.’

In fact, just this week Our Super-Faith Sunday Riddle has revealed for us another devout female spokeswoman for God, who lived in the land of Judah…during the times of the Kings!!

She was The Prophetess, Huldah!!

So back to today’s Trivia Question…

Do you know who served as God’s very first prophetess??

Hint***This devout woman boldly praised God before all of His congregation!!

Can You Name That Prophetess??

*********************************
Answer: Miriam
🏆Winner: Chalvonia 👏👏

http://ministryin.wordpress.com/

Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women went out after her with timbrels and dancing (Exodus 15:20)

Chalvonia: And here I am a student again😃yes…it was fun this morning…💃🏽🎶💃🏽

*****************************************
Here is Thursday’s Trivia Question.

*****************************************
On Wednesday’s I write a health and wellness blog, where I share home remedies and natural ways of treating some of our health concerns and conditions.

In yesterday’s post, I shared how my husband and I struggled to find relief for our daughter, Allie, through traditional medicines…to no avail!!

In fact, we found ourselves, like the woman with the issue of blood, seeking out doctor after doctor, but Allie’s condition only grew worse.

It wasn’t until we got down real low and stretched forth our hands to seek the Lord, first and foremost, that He began to make the crooked paths straight and open up the doors towards her healing and wholeness!

In last week’s Trivia Thursday question, we wanted to know which sickly King received a death sentence from the Lord, via the Prophet Isaiah, but after the King turned and sought the Lord in prayer for his life…God sent the prophet back immediately, with a message of hope, restoration, and a home remedy.

God relented the curse, and extended mercy instead!!

He extended the king’s life for another 15 years.

Answer: That was the good king, Hezekiah.

Now there was another King of Judah who also became very ill, but instead of seeking the Lord in prayer, or calling for the prophet..this king sought after the wisdom and knowledge of his physicians only, and that king died!!

********************************************

Can You Name That King??

***********************************
Answer: King Asa of Judah

🏆Winner: Pedro Villarreal👏👏👏

In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was diseased in his feet–until his disease became very severe; yet in his disease he did not seek the Lord, but relied on the physicians. (2 Chronicles 16:12)

Pedro: 39 years as king! How terrible it was due him that he did not trust the Lord.

Got it, I know I got it!!! 🎊🎉🕺🕺🕺

Solution Saturday – Huldah, the Prophetess!!

She (Huldah) said to them, Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Tell the man who sent you to me, Thus says the Lord: Behold, I will bring evil upon this place and upon its inhabitants, according to all the words of the book which the king of Judah has read (2Kings 22:15)

Hey Neighbor!

Once Again, Here is your Super-Faith Sunday Riddle and Your Answer!!

Enjoy🤩

*******************************************

To Wrath, Has Your Lord God been provoked

“Thus said the Lord,” were the words that I spoke

His anger was triggered by the wicked works of men’s hands,

Was the message from God, I sent back to the man

Who inquired of God, after finding the book

How long was it missing and no man thought to look??

Woe!! For My people have long-since forsaken My laws

And King after King has reneged on his vows

But Your heart, Oh King, God has seen it…no doubt.

You eyes will he spare, though His wrath be poured out.

These words from Your God, will come to pass and prevail, spoken straight from the mouth of this ‘faith-full’ female!!

*****************************************

Who Is She??

*****************************************

Answer: Huldah, the prophetess

And Hilkiah and they whom the king had appointed went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum son of Tokhath, the son of Hasrah, keeper of the wardrobe. She dwelt in Jerusalem, in the Second Quarter. They spoke to her to that effect (2 Chronicles 34:22)

God Changed His Name – ‘Uncle Bob’

-Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new-
(2 Corinthians 5:17)

Hey Neighbor!

I enjoy writing Bible Stories About My Family Members.

Especially when the Holy Spirit shows me The Truth of God’s Word in such a way that is applicable in our everyday lives.

Here is another Oldie but a Goodie about How God transformed My Uncle Bob into a New Creature in Christ and Gave him a new name!!

Enjoy🤩

****************************************

In our Bible Study, we’ve been talking about how God can give you a new name. We talked about God changing Abram’s name to Abraham, which again, means Father of Many Nations.

So can you imagine, Abraham walked around, 100 years old, introducing himself to people as the Father of Many Nations, when he only had 1 child??

When God changed Sarai’s name, she didn’t even know it. God said to Abraham, “Don’t call her Sarai, anymore!” So I guess Abraham went home, walked in saying “Honey!…Sarah! I’m home.” So she’s gotta be thinking..Who is he talking to?? That’s not my name!

Then Abraham goes on to tell her… “Oh Yeah…and while I was out talking to God, today, He said I can’t call you Sarai, anymore…He changed my name to Abraham and now your’s is Sarah!!”

Wow!!

So God Changed Sarai’s name and didn’t tell HER!!

Sounds crazy, huh??

We’ll I want to tell you a story about an Uncle of mine, who was once, called, Robert.

Here’s the story:

I grew up in East St. Louis with both my mother and father in the home. There were three of us…so I have one sister and 1 brother and I’m the baby!!

My parents had changed their lifestyles when we were young and they were both God-fearing Christians. They loved us and kept us close to home; they were very strict and watchful of who we made friends with and/or dated. They were even watchful of the family members that came around.

So growing up, I knew my mothers side of the family, but had very vague memories of my Dad’s side…till my father passed away in February, 2001.

Praise God!! He used that time of mourning and turned it into dancing for me. I got a chance to become well acquainted with my paternal Aunt’s and Uncles; particularly the Uncle that looks just-like-my-Dad, named Robert, but the family called him Bob.

I had actually met him about 10 years before my father passed away. It was at East Side’s Championship game in Normal, IL.

During the intermission, A friend and I were headed to the concession stands to get a snack when I saw this man approaching in the crowds. He looked so familiar to me..I couldn’t take my eyes off him.

When we got close enough, I just had to ask him…Is your name Bob?? Because You look Just like my Daddy!!

It was him!!…I had heard his name growing up, around our house, but I had never seen him…So fast forward to the Present.

Now he’s our Security Guard at the Center and we’ve grown so close, it’s just like having Daddy around again.

The Lord brought us together, again about 2 years ago, after his wife, Greta passed away. I needed a Security Guard/Maintenance Person
and He Needed Jesus!! Lol!

So the The Lord brought us together and met both our needs.

Now if you’ve ever been to the Center, You know my Uncle, Bob!! From my friends…to my exercise class..our bible study folks…and all the Church Families.

He is unforgettable…And EVERYBODY calls Him Uncle Bob!!

And it actually drove him crazy, for a while!!

I guess it had become contagious…All of my friends and our ‘Center family’ started calling him ‘Uncle Bob’ because of me, initially…but people were starting to call him Uncle Bob away from the Cultural Center, as well.

He would tell me how he had seen this person…or that person…at the grocery store and how they Greeted him as ‘Uncle Bob,’ instead of Robert.

He would ask me..Why are these people calling me ‘Uncle Bob’ and they’re older than me??

I thought it was funny!!
(I think everything is funny)…but he didn’t!!

It kept happening to him over and over again. He would introduce himself, as Robert, but they refused to call him Robert…but Uncle Bob!!

He didn’t realize what was happening, but I did!!

The Lord had been doing a great work in Bob since he had moved into the Center….He had accepted Jesus Christ as his Personal Savior and the Holy Spirit had come in, changing him into a new Creature in Christ and therefore…..he needed a new name that was befitting, the New Man.

The Robert that the world had known was a selfish, obnoxious, alcoholic …but Not Uncle Bob!!

Now that The Lord has kept him clean and sober for nearly 1 1/2 years now, He has a church home and most importantly, a church family to support him on his Spiritual Journey.

He’s the Teacher’s pet in my bible study class and God Bless him…he’s got the CRAVE!!…but it’s for The Word of God!! After our class wraps up on Tuesday nights, he makes a mad dash out of the house to catch the next Bible Study at SSAMM’s.

It’s Amazing..the transformation God has made in him…He’s been an incredible blessing to my life and to our Family at the Center. He loves to feed everybody that comes by.

He brings home cookies, cakes, and pies and he makes the best Chicken and Dumplings, EVER!!

I thank God for my new Uncle. I love him, dearly and I know my dad would be so proud of his born-again, baby brother

God Changed my Uncle’s Name, although he’s still a little obnoxious…but if he wasn’t…he wouldn’t be Uncle Bob!!

Do You believe God is Still Changing Names, Today??

If so, What Name is He Calling You??

Tomorrow, We’ll talk about how God Changed Jacob’s name – to Israel!

Til Then,
God Loves 💕You and So Do I!!

God’s ‘Faith-full’ Daughter, Jehosheba!!

  • So Jehosheba daughter of King Jehoram, sister of Ahaziah, and wife of Jehoiada the priest, hid [Joash] from [his grandmother] Athaliah, so that she did not slay him. And Joash was with them hidden in the house of God six years, and Athaliah reigned over the land (2Chronicles 22:11)

Hey Neighbor!

What is a princess to do when she is surrounded by evil throughout the palace?

This princess’s name was Jehosheba, and she was the daughter to King Jehoram…who had reigned in Judah for eight years after her grandfather, Jehoshaphat.

Now before King Jehoshaphat died, he left gold, silver, and fortified territories in Judah to his six younger sons, but the throne, he left to his eldest son, Jehoram.

But Jehosheba’s dad was a wicked king. He killed all of her uncles – the king’s brothers, at the start of his reign…and not for the surety of his throne, but Jehoram killed his brothers out of jealousy…just as Cain killed Abel!!

You see, scripture tells us that Jehoram’s brothers had favor with their father Jehoshaphat…for they were better than him!!

-But (Jehoram) have walked in the ways of Israel“s kings, and made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem play the harlot like the [spiritual] harlotry of Ahab“s house, and also have slain your brothers of your father“s house, who were better than you, (2Chr 21:13)

From this scripture above, we have also learned that King Jehoram had been counseled closely by the wicked house of Ahab, from the Northern Kingdom.

Where had King Jehoshaphat gone wrong with his eldest son, Jehoram??

Well, scripture tells us that Jehoshaphat was a godly king, but unfortunately he had aligned himself with the house of Ahab and Jezebel…or should I say Jezebel and Ahab…as this aggressive, dominating, baal worshipping, Sidonian woman certainly wore the pants in Ahab’s household.

Jezebel was the slithering serpent that had cast all of the fiery darts in Israel, and then she sent Ahab, The King of Israel out to pick up the bodies!!

Indeed there were bodies all about the trail, wherever Jezebel or her bloody daughter, Athaliah had trod!!

Here’s a body count from Jehoram’s brothers!!

– He (Jehoram) had brothers: Azariah, Jehiel, Zechariah, Azariah, Michael, and Shephatiah, all the sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel. Their father gave them great gifts of silver, gold, and precious things, together with fortified cities in Judah, but the kingdom he gave to Jehoram, the firstborn (2Chr 21:2)

Now Athalia had become Jehoram’s wife, as well as the evil, in-house counsel to to the King of Judah!!

Athaliah trained Jehoram in treachery and advised him in idolatry….for she was trained up in the Northern kingdom by her wicked mother, Jezebel!!

Now Jehosheba was very fortunate that Athaliah was not her biological mother…Jehosheba’s mother remains one of the unnamed wives that were carried away by the Arabs and the Philistines, along with Jehosheba’s remaining brothers.

Only one of Jehosheba’s wicked brothers, Ahaziah remained alive in Judah after the attack, but unfortunately, that brother was Athaliah’s biological son, whom she controlled and manipulated like a pawn on the chessboard of Life!!

In contrast, Jehosheba had rejected her step-mom’s ‘wicked wife’ tutorials and refused to be injected with the vicious venom that Athaliah was serving up in the palace!!

Jehosheba married a man of God!!

Yes!!

Jehosheba’s husband was Jehoiada, the Lord’s High Priest!!

Jehosheba rejected the wickedness that had permeated the palace and instead, she ran to the House of The Lord!!

While still her brother, Ahaziah remained under the spell of his treacherous mother, and his wicked grandparents!!

– He (Ahaziah) also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab, for his mother was his counselor to do wickedly. So he did evil in the sight of the Lord like the house of Ahab, for they were his counselors after his father“s death, to his destruction. (2Chr 22:3)

But God was not pleased with Ahaziah, as his reign as king only lasted one year, and he was slain in Israel by Jehu, and Ahaziah was buried with their grandfather, Jehoshaphat.

Now that Ahaziah was dead, Athaliah was not willing to wail, nor to loose any sleep…for she refused to loose the southern kingdom from her filthy fingers!!

Athaliah strengthened herself on the throne in Judah by committing a most abominable act!!

She destroyed all of the seed from the royal line of David!!

Yes!!

Athaliah killed all of the princes…even Ahaziah’s sons, the rightful heirs to the throne in Judah.

This self-indulgent and power thirsty woman lusted after the throne, and because Athaliah hated God and had sold out to baal, she was fully intent on removing any semblance of light that remained on the throne in the Southern kingdom.

Athalia was an evil priestess of baal, in league with Satan to wipeout every last descendant of David’s bloodline…as to prevent the prophesied son of God, The Messiah from reigning and ruling through the royal line of Judah!!

But Jehosheba and her husband, Jehoiada were ‘faith-full’ servants of God, and they were aligned with righteousness…and in-league with the Lord!!

They both had refused to kneel before baal, nor permanently yield the throne to this foreign woman, who was in essence attempting to usurp the throne from the very hands of Jesus!!

So Jehosheba courageously risked both life and limb to save her one year old nephew, Joash, from the sword of Athalia…who had already slain all of little Joash’s elder brothers.

Yes!! Athalia thought she had killed every last one of her grandsons!!

She was fully intent upon taking hold of the reigns in the kingdom, much like her misguided father, satan…before he was cast out of heaven!!

She too, had hoped to quench the Light of God from the heavens and to cause the praises of God to cease throughout the kingdom!!

But the Spirit of The Lord was strong upon Jehosheba, as she stealthily stole the boy out of Athaliah’s hands and God’s grace was upon her to cause little Joash to be secretly hidden in the house of the Lord for six whole years…where Joash was raised up in the Fear and the Admonition of the Lord, under the authority of the High Priest!!

And Yes!!

Once Again, God cast out the usurper…even Athaliah and He reaffirmed David’s royal seed, securely upon the throne in Judah.

King Joash began to reign in the southern kingdom at the ripe age of 7 years old!!

****************************************

This Lesson is a story of strength and courage, reminding us that when God is for us, it doesn’t matter who comes against you…whether it be mother, father, brother, or even your beloved grandmother!!

God still sits upon His heavenly throne where He is seated high, and looking low upon the dastardly deeds of the wicked.

Never loose faith…even when there is nothing left but that last minuscule mustard seed…dedicate it to the Lord, by Faith, like Jehosheba and let God do His thing in that secret place, where he transforms that grain of seed into the Greatest Tree in the Garden.

Joash went on to become a ‘good’ king, but there was one more from his lineage, a branch brought forth out of the root of Jesse, who was, and is the Greatest King of All… That’s Jesus!!

Amen!!

Trivia Thursday – Name That King!!

And a woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for twelve years and had spent all her living upon physicians, and could not be healed by anyone, Came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His garment, and immediately her flow of blood ceased. (Luke 8:43)

Hey Neighbor!

On Wednesday’s I write a health and wellness blog, where I share home remedies and natural ways of treating some of our health concerns and conditions.

In yesterday’s post, I shared how my husband and I struggled to find relief for our daughter, Allie, through traditional medicines…to no avail!!

Nuggets of Wealth for Life and Health – August 3

– Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And [yet] not one of them is forgotten or uncared for in the presence of God. But [even] the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not be struck with fear or seized with alarm; you are of greater worth than many [flocks] of sparrows (Luke 12:6)

Hey Neighbor!

It’s Allie!!

Today is Wednesday, and Here is Your Nugget for this week…August 3, 2022.

****************************************

Today’s nugget will hopefully benefit those who are battling with eczema and alopecia.

****************************************

Last week, I promised you a testimonial on the benefits of Australian Tea Tree Oil – melaleuca.

So today I am gonna share my miraculous tea tree oil testimonial…or at least my eye witness testimonial of how tea tree oil restored hair growth to my baby girl’s balding scalp.

Well…Allie, who is now 20, was only 3 years old when she began to suffer with eczema, which is simply extremely dry patches of skin that become inflamed and excessively itchy.

So of course we took Allie to a dermatologist, who prescribed a steroid based prescription cream for her skin.

Now Allie was also having a terrible scalp issue, often called ‘cradle cap,’ so her dermatologist recommended that we also layer the steroid cream onto her scalp as well.

Initially, the prescription helped tremendously and Allie’s skin and hair began to show signs of healing. Now, if you know much about steroid creams, they often clear things up fairly quickly, but with eczema, at some point the dry patches become resistant to the treatment, rendering the cream ineffective…and therefore, the skin condition returns…oftentimes more stubborn than before!!

Well, what was the Dermatologist’s solution at this point??

A stronger prescription, of course!!

We accepted this temporary fix for quite a while, until we realized that the steroid cream had damaged Allie’s scalp, which left her with several bald patches throughout her hair.

So this time, the Dermatologist diagnosed Allie with yet another condition…alopecia!!

My husband and I realized at this point, that we were on the road to nowhere, so instead of accepting more prescription creams from the dermatologist, we decided that it was time to get to the root of the problem, which we had long suspected to be food allergies!!

We found a Naturopath who was also an environmental allergist. He was quickly able to determine that Allie’s skin condition was rooted from allergies to the foods that we had been feeding her, particularly wheat, corn, eggs, soy, etc. etc.

My poor baby was allergic to everything, because she had developed a yeast overgrowth in her gut, (candida) that had leached out from her gut and had permeated her bloodstream…thus the overgrowth of yeast on her skin (eczema) and in her hair (alopecia)!!

So our doctor started Allie on the ‘elimination diet,’ which further exposed more food sensitivities/allergies. I will post a link if you want to learn more about the ‘elimination diet’ and how it skyrocketed Allie’s road to wellness!!

This is a detailed 4 part Backstory about Allie’s Health Crisis and How God Healed and Restored our Allie!!

Oh my…It was truly a rough, roller coaster ride…but God brought us through it All!!

So back to the treatment of Allie’s scalp…

I had been doing some of my own research, because Allie’s health mattered most to me…and I had read that apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil were good treatments to kill a yeast overgrowth on the scalp, so I began to pour out half of her shampoo (into a separate container) and I refilled the half-empty shampoo bottle with apple cider vinegar…until the bottle was nearly full…then I topped it off with the tea tree oil…maybe 20 drops or so.

Of course, I saved the additional shampoo for later use…but I washed Allie’s hair every night with this mix for about 3-4 weeks, until one day I saw teeny tiny baby hair shoots coming up through her scalp!!

I was amazed!!

How did this happen??

Well, I didn’t realize it at the time, but this hair reveal had been progressing very gradually during our treatment period.

You see, after Allie’s nightly hair washing treatment, I would comb through her hair, and as I began to braid it, I began to notice loose pieces of skin on her scalp…so I would just peel that away. I didn’t know it at the time, but that loose skin was a dead skin layer that had become weak and had separated itself from her scalp!!

When I first saw this happening, I was initially panicked, because I thought Allie was just falling apart…but the tea tree oil/apple cider vinegar mix had been eating through the yeast buildup on her scalp…and as the yeast weakened, her very dry, patchy scalp began to soften up and eventually the layers of dead skin began to pull away…until finally the hair underneath was able to stretch forward!!

Praise the Lord!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾

With continual use, this nightly treatment produced a full, luxurious head of hair for my baby girl!!

The pic above is from Allie’s first year on campus at the University of Chicago!!

For Next Week….Here is Your Health Homework:

Please continue to explore the many benefits of Australian tea tree oil, and next week I will reveal a few more personal testimonials about this little lifesaver!! *********************************************

Again…I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV

So Ultimately, You must do your own research, and talk with your physician to make the best health choices for yourself and your family.

Don’t Forget…Your Health Must Matter Most To You!!

Trivia Tuesday – Can You Name That Prophetess??

– Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, judged Israel at that time. She sat under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites came up to her for judgment (Judges 4:4)

Hey Neighbor!

I solved a Bible quiz this morning!!💕

Yes…your teacher has reverted to student…And Yes…it was great fun!! 🤩

My Blogger Friend, Chalvonia has been doing an excellent Bible character development on the Prophetess, Deborah!

If You’re a Bible Quiz Lover, Please Go and Check Out Chalvonia’s Splash 💦 Poetry Quiz!!

http://ministryin.wordpress.com/

She is The Prophetess, Huldah!!

Here’s the link if you wanna take a peak, and/or learn more about her!!

So back to today’s Trivia Question…

Do you know who served as God’s very first prophetess??

Hint***This devout woman boldly praised God before all of His congregation!!

David was the king who set the standard, whereby all of the succeeding kings of Judah would be afterwards, compared to him!!

“As David, his father.”

This phrase we find repeated nine times in the book of 1 Kings.

Unfortunately, most of David’s descendant’s failed to meet his kingly standard after his death.

One of David’s most vile descendants reigned after him in Judah, and indeed he was a very wicked and bloody king!!

In fact, this king killed each and every one of his brothers for surety of his kingdom, soon after he was seated upon ‘his father, David’s throne.’

Can You Name That King??

*******************************************

Answer: King Jehoram

“When Jehoram had ascended the throne of his father and was established, he killed all his brothers with the sword, and also some of the princes of Israel.”

Name That Prophet Answer: Isaiah and King Hezekiah!!

Hey Neighbor!

Here is Trivia Tuesday’s (abbreviated) Question and Your Answer!!

Enjoy🤩

*******************************************

In the Bible, sometimes the king would find himself ‘ailing’ and would be so filled with anxiety that he would seek a ‘word’ from the prophet…not the physician, asking him to confirm whether or not the illness would end in death.

Oftentimes, the prophet came bearing a poor prognosis…Thus todays Name that prophet question.

Which prophet had come to the king bearing very bad news regarding the kings condition, but a short time later, God sent him back to the king to remove the original death sentence!!

In this case, God heard the king’s pleas for mercy, and not only did God confirm that He was planning to heal the king, but God also caused this prophet/physician to return to the king’s bed chamber with a home remedy from Heaven!!

This natural remedy not only removed the king’s discomfort, but the king quickly recovered, and survived another 15 years!!

Can you Name That ‘home remedy wielding’ Prophet and…The King that God Restored??

*********************************************

Answers: The Prophet, Isaiah and King Hezekiah, of Judah

The Home Remedy: Figs for Hezekiah’s boils

I loved Anneta’s answer because she refused to google for an answer, yet she phoned her dad for a little help🤣

Anneta’s Answer: I remember he (Isaiah) gave him (Hezekiah) a sign of the sun going back a few inches. On the phone with my parents and asked my parents about the (home) remedy. My Dad said he’s not sure if Isaiah gave him a remedy. He remembered another story where a prophet recommended fig leaves though.

******************************************

And….Figs is correct!!👏👏👏

And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered. (2Kings 20:7)

Trivia Thursday – Name That King!!

And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely show thee kindness for Jonathan thy father“s sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.  (2Samuel 9:7)

Hey Neighbor!

In the Scripture above, we find King David ‘faith-fully’ fulfilling an oath to care for Jonathan’s son, after his death.

If you will recall, Jonathan, David’s best friend  and the original heir to Israel’s throne, had fallen in battle along with his father, King Saul.

With Jonathan out of the way, David could have moved forth to quickly exterminate any and all of the surviving heirs to Saul’s throne…like Mephibosheth and Ishbosheth (Jonathan’s brother.)

David could have immediately taken claim to the throne in Israel, as God’s anointed King.

But instead, David waited patiently for God’s timing and God’s surety!!

David did not merely desire man’s surety on the throne…through the slaying of Saul’s descendants, but David waited for God’s perfect promise, wherefore The Lord would confirm him as king and set him firmly upon the throne in all Israel!!

You see, David was the king who set the standard, whereby all of the succeeding kings of Judah would be afterwards, compared to him!!

Nuggets of Wealth for Life and Health – July 27th

Now therefore forgive my sin, I pray you, only this once, and entreat the Lord your God only that He may remove from me this [plague of] death. (Exodus 10:17)

Hey Neighbor!

Today is Wednesday, and Here is Your Nugget for this week…July 27, 2022.

****************************************

Today’s nugget will hopefully benefit those who are battling fleas!!

****************************************

My husband and I were attacked by fleas a couple of weeks ago. And not because we have pets in our home, but because our recently vacated tenant left us with their personal pestilence – fleas!!

Well, this is not our first go-around with fleas, considering we have been landlords now for almost 30 years.

I remember when we had our first flea infestation at one of our houses, after my tenant had taken in a stray cat.

My husband and I hurried to the pet store and loaded up our cart with flea and carpet treatments….that could’ve been very expensive.

Fortunately, the customer service lady had mercy on us and revealed a natural treatment that literally saved us hundreds of dollars.

What was her natural treatment??

You will not believe it!!

It was Lemon Juice, Table Salt, and Masking Tape!!

No!! I have not lost my mind…just bear with me a moment, please!!

You see, fleas have a hatching cycle of every 1-10 days.

The salt, sprinkled liberally about the floor/carpeting, will end that hatching cycle; while the lemon juice…sprayed liberally about the perimeter of the room, will burn the live fleas.

Ok now…what’s with the masking tape??

Well…in addition to a blood meal, at night, fleas are in search of light and bright objects…like your white tub…and believe it or not, fleas can jump high enough to make it into your bathtub.

So now, you will want to turn on a light near your tub, and make a bunch of reverse masking tape wads (sticky side out), and place them in your tub overnight.

Any fleas that have escaped the salt and lemon juice, will find their way to the tub and get stuck to those wads of tape!!😆

You must replace those tape wads nightly, until there are no more fleas on the new tape wads!!

Now here is another tip, or nugget that has also helped me with the treatment of fleas along the years…

That is Australian tea tree oil (melaleuca)!!

Tea tree oil will also kill fleas when mixed in any brand of carpet shampoo.

And believe it or not, tea tree oil, mixed in your hair shampoo will also kill fleas, lice, and even ticks, hidden in your hair!!

There are so many benefits to using Australian tea tree oil, from…

* Tooth whitening, to

* Restoring hair growth to balding areas upon the scalp, (alopecia.)

* And even for restoring color to areas of the skin that have lost melanin (hypopigmentation), particularly for those having suffered burns!!

But I will not overwhelm you with too much information today!!

For Your Health Homework: Take a deep dive for yourself, and begin to research some of the benefits of tea tree oil, and next week, I will share more personal testimonies about the miraculous benefits of tea tree oil in my life!!

Start Here, if you like!!

*****************************************

Again…I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV

So Ultimately, You must do your own research, and talk with your physician to make the best health choices for yourself and your family.

Don’t Forget…Your Health Must Matter Most To You!!

Name That Prophet!!

Hey Neighbor!

My Great, Great, Grandma, Lollie C. always had a home remedy ready for anything that could possibly ‘ail’ you. Her tinctures never looked nor smelled great, but they were very effective.

When we were kids, nobody ever went to the doctor or to the hospital unless one of our limbs was literally dangling off, because one of ‘Momma’s home remedies could always make it better!!

Well in the Bible, sometimes the king would find himself ‘ailing’ and would be so filled with anxiety that he would seek a ‘word’ from the prophet…not the physician, asking him to confirm whether or not the illness would end in death.

Oftentimes, the prophet came bearing a poor prognosis…Thus todays Name that prophet question.

‘Super-Faith’ Sunday Riddle- Who Am I??

Hey Neighbor!

Today we have yet another ‘faith-full’ female from the Bible!!

Although this Woman has often gone under the radar, in my opinion she ranks tops in her class; right along with some of the most courageous women mentioned in the Bible!!
*****************************************
Can You guess who she is??

*******************************************

My father, another wicked king, was now dead

My brother was seated on the throne in his stead

The same father we shared, he and dad both served Baal.

His reign was a short one, he was wicked as well

Much like our dad, who was controlled by his wife,

The queen mom took control of my brother’s short life.

She wailed not, nor grieved, though her son was deceased

For years after his death, our land had no peace

But I took charge of his son, to preserve flesh and bone

To rescue and hide the next heir to the throne

Though his grandmother sought to kill him indeed

I arose and protected Judah’s last royal seed.

More Solution Saturday- Ark of God (Ark of the Covenant)

-For because you bore it not [as God directed] at the first, the Lord our God broke forth upon us (Uzzah) because we did not seek Him in the way He ordained. So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord, the God of Israel. The Levites carried the ark of God on their shoulders with the poles, as Moses commanded by the word of the Lord

(1Chronicles 15:13)

Hey Neighbor!

This week we had our Super-Faith Sunday Riddle, in addition to both a Tuesday Trivia, and a Trivia Thursday Riddle.

Here are both of those trivia questions/riddles and answers!!

Enjoy🤩

*******************************************

Trivia Tuesday

2 Samuel 6:9, tells us that David had taken the ark of God to the house of Obed-Edom, where it had been ’housed’ for three months.

Scripture also tells us that David was afraid of the Lord, after God had broken through and had killed Uzzah, who had not been ‘consecrated’ to care for the ark of God.

Question: Prior to the ark’s three month stay @ Obed-Edom’s….

  1. Where had the ark of God been housed?
  2. Who in particular, had been consecrated (set apart for God’s service) and charged with the care of the ark of God during that timeframe?

************************************

Answers:

1) In the house of Abinadab on the hill (Kiriath-jearim)

(1 Samuel 7:1)

And the ark remained in Kiriath-jearim a very long time [nearly 100 years, through Samuel“s entire judgeship, Saul“s reign, and well into David“s, when it was brought to Jerusalem].

(1 Samuel 7:2) Amplified Bible

2) Eleazar

SO THE men of Kiriath-jearim came and took the ark of the Lord and brought it into the house of Abinadab on the hill and consecrated Eleazar his son to have charge of the ark of the Lord. (1Samuel 7:1)

Details: Courtesy of G.W.

GW: David didn’t move the Ark of God according to God’s stipulated instructions. They transported it by cart. It had been stipulated by God, when moving the Ark, it was to be carried by Levite priests. Not by oxen-drawn cart – even a new cart. (1 Chronicles 15:3).

*****************************************

A treaty violated, left the Lord God displeased

My sons were sacrificed, then the Lord was appeased.

God sent famine and drought in the land for three years

I waited for rain through a waterfall of tears

To see their remains devoured, was more than I could bear

Doomed by the sins of their father…It seemed so unfair!!

I fought the birds by day, but the beasts at night were the worst.

God did finally relent! He sent rain!!

And removed my Accursed!!

*******************************************
Who Am I??

******************************************
I am Rizpah

-Rizpah daughter of Aiah took sackcloth and spread it for herself on the rock, from the beginning of harvest until rain fell on them, and she did not allow either the birds of the air to come upon them by day or the beasts of the field by night. (2 Samuel 21:10)

Article of Armor – The Shield of Faith

-So let’s do it – full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word.-
(Hebrews 10:22) Message Bible

Hey Neighbor!

Once Again, It’s Oldie but a Goodie Friday and Today We are Putting on the Shield of Faith from Our Armor of God series from 2014.

Enjoy, Guys🤩

***************************************

When my kids were smaller, they loved to play video games with their Dad. They played pac-man, racing games, and spaceship games, but their favorite was what we called the ‘fight game.’

In the Summertime, they would sometimes stay up all night ‘fighting.’.

From time to time, they would beg me to come and play along…but I didn’t know what buttons to push. They had been playing so often, that they had memorized the buttons and had even learned special button combinations that gave their fighter
‘super-moves.’

They tried to teach me some of the combinations, but the only button I could remember quickly was the shield button. So when their fighter came against me, with all his/her super- moves and battle combinations…the only way I knew to hold my Ground was to firmly, press my Shield Button until I could build up enough courage to fight back.

Now, of Course We know that the battle that we face..is no game!!

This thing is for real…so God has Armored us with A Real Shield…
The Shield of Faith!!

-Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you CAN quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].-
(Ephesians 6:16)

We are in a Real Life-or-Death Battle with a real devil and his real demons that are mercilessly, trying to take Our Lives…So when the enemy comes against us, in hot pursuit, with everything he’s got…employing his demons to team up against us, throwing his fiery darts and arrows at us continuously, We Must Stand our Ground – Holding up Our Spiritual Shield of Faith!!

Donnie McClurken, says…After You’ve done All You CAN…You just Stand!!

But here is what We Can Not Do!!

We Can Not let the enemy push Us back, after We’ve made much progress and gained spiritual ground. We Can Not get ‘punked’ again and turn back and run!!

Although We are temporarily, at a stand-still…We Can Still…Stand!!

Now is Not the time to entertain thoughts of fear and unbelief!!

Now is Not the time to give-up or faint!!
There is no white flag attached to Our Amour…So surrender Is NOT an option!!

The Apostle Paul tells us,
-IN [this] freedom Christ has made us free [and completely liberated us]; stand fast then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared and submit again to a yoke of slavery [which you have once put off-
(Galatians 5:1)

Now is Not the time to accept defeat or submit to Hell’s captivity.
We are Not the property of Satan…so We Can Not retreat back into his filthy hands and back into the sin that enslaved Us and controlled Our lives.

We are the Children of God…His Property…dressed in His blessed Armor…So We Must Stand on God’s Promises…Raising Up Our Shields… Pressing forward, by Faith!!

When the devil is coming against you with everything he’s got…Will You Hold Fast to God’s Promises??

Will you Still…believe God promised that – No weapon that is formed against You shall prosper??
-(Isaiah 54:17)

Will You still believe that God said -He will never fail You nor forsake you?? -(Joshua 1:5)

Will you still believe that God said- You have the favor of The Lord and it surrounds You as a Shield??
-(Psalms 5:12)

Will you continue to believe, with confident expectation that the Battle is Not Yours, but it’s God’s??
-(2 Chronicles 20:15)

NOW Is the Time…and This is What We CAN Do!!

Now, Is the time to hold fast to your profession of faith…without wavering back and forth between hope and fear….and between trust and unbelief!!

If Faith is the substance of the things we hope for and the evidence of the things we Can Not see..and if We are hoping to see God’s Deliverance, then…

NOW Is the time to take title to It…

Believing on God’s Promises from
‘The Word’ with All of Our heart…with All of Our Soul..and with All of Our Might…That’s Your Shield!!

We Must believe that God is Coming Through with Deliverance…Sending His Angels to Accompany, Defend and Preserve Our Lives!!
-(Psalms 91:11)

So Be Encouraged in the Lord!!

Hold Fast and Firmly, to Your Shield…Gripping it with everything You’ve got…and keep Pressing Forward, By Faith!!

We Can Win this Spiritual Battle…and if You Peak to the end of the story…We Do Win!!

Rizpah Pitched Her Tent on the Rock of Hope!!

Therefore my heart rejoiced and my tongue exulted exceedingly; moreover, my flesh also will dwell in hope [will encamp, pitch its tent, and dwell in hope  For You will not abandon my soul, leaving it helpless in Hades (the state of departed spirits), nor let Your Holy One know decay or see destruction [of the body after death].

(Acts 2:26-27)

Hey Neighbor!

We meet Rizpah in 2 Samuel 3:7, where she is falsely accused of fornication. She had lived in the palace, as King Saul’s concubine, prior to his death, but now the grapevine has linked her to a relationship with Abner, Israel’s Commander of the Army.

We can imagine that Rizpah’s name was not well spoken of in the palace.

No…honor had not been bestowed upon her…like that of a widowed wife, left to mourn her deceased husband and king.

Rizpah had not been given a position of authority, like the ‘queen mom,’ or the mother to the king’s reigning son.

Now, although Rizpah had born Saul sons, her two sons were not rightful heirs to the throne.

Rizpah was but a widowed concubine, spoken about in rumors and conjecture.  But God would use this woman, and the attacks upon her name, for her good, and also for the good of the kingdom.

God would take this ‘palace’ gossip and use it rent the kingdom from Saul’s son Ishbosheth, and He would further cause it to unite the two warring kingdoms under David, His anointed.

Now back to this gossip in the palace…

Saul’s son, Ishbosheth had assumed the throne after Saul and his brother, Jonathan’s death.

Now Having heard the gossip in the palace, Ishbosheth confronted Abner, who was quite offended after having shown much love and devotion to the house of Saul for so many years.

In his offense, Abner withdrew his support from Ishbosheth, and vowed to go over to David and translate or to transfer the entirety of the kingdom into the hands of David, who currently sat on the throne in Hebron.

I’m sure these rumors and innuendo were hurtful to Rizpah, but God used these things for the greater good of Rizpah and for all of Israel.

Now we don’t hear anything more about Rizphah until 2 Samuel 21:8, where once again God uses Rizpah and her two sons (as a sacrifice) to bring complete closure to Saul’s bloody reign, and to atone for Saul’s transgressions against the Lord.

Now Rizpah’s name and her reputation had previously been attacked within the palace, but now there was an assault upon the names and the lives of her two children.

Sadly, Rizpah’s two sons were taken and executed, because they were the surviving male descendants of Saul.

Armoni and Mephibosheth were King Saul’s only two remaining sons, as Ishbosheth had recently been ruthlessly slain inside the palace.

What could Rizpah have said or done when King David came to take away her sons??

She had been but a widowed concubine, but now she would be both widowed and left childless!!

Why had the king come for her sons??

Had David come in violence, to remove any future threats to the surety of his throne??

No, of course not!!

You see, God was displeased with Israel and his hand had been heavy upon His chosen people for three years.

In His wrath, God had brought famine and drought upon the land, and it seemed that He would not be appeased until the blood of treason was washed from the land!!

Who was the traitor??

David inquired of the Lord…and God said it was Saul!!

Saul had treacherously defied a peace treaty established before the Lord, between Joshua and the Gibeonites, a remnant of the Amorites.

David had gone forward offering gold and silver, in attempts to atone for Israel’s trespass upon the Gibeonites, but they refused, and would not accept meaningless tokens from the Bloody House of Saul!!

The Gibeonites proposed Life for Life and Blood for Blood!!

You see, Saul had attempted to wipe out and/or annihilate all of the Gibeonites from the land of Israel, in direct opposition to Joshua’s peace agreement.

Now David, as king and ambassador was required to restore peace amongst the people in the land, so he agreed to the terms laid out by the Gibeonites.

Therefore, David delivered up Rizpah’s two sons, Armoni and Mephibosheth, (not Jonathan’s son) along with five of Saul’s grandsons, born of his daughter, Merab!!

These seven male descendants of Saul hung accursed, like criminals at the beginning of the barley harvest, and so they would continue to hang until the Lord’s anger was appeased with a sign of rain!!

Where was Merab, Saul’s daughter and mother to Saul’s five grandsons??

We are not told!!

But we are told that Rizpah humbly pitched her tent before the Lord upon the mountain, as she watched and waited for the rain!!

In her grief, Rizpah humbly spread out her sackcloth upon the rocks, from the very day her sons were hung, until the day God’s anger relented!!

Rizpah bore the suffocating winds, the oppressive heat, and the blazing sun, day after day…

She fought against sleep, exhaustion, and suppressed her fear of the darkness, at night…

She fought off the birds of the air, and the beasts of the field, making every attempt to prevent these scavengers from eating and further defiling the flesh and remains of her sons.

All the while, Rizpah was praying, watching, waiting, and believing that the Lord would send cleansing rain to wash away, and remove the stains of dishonor that had fallen upon her sons in death.

When Rizpah’s name was mentioned in the palace, and David was told the tale of Rizpah’s courage, David’s heart was moved by this grieving mother’s love and devotion to her deceased sons!!

Rizpah had gained the respect of the king and David further honored Rizpah by gathering up the bones of both Saul and his Beloved friend, Jonathan…bringing together all of the remains of Saul and all of Saul’s deceased heirs, inclusive of the concubine’s two sons, Armoni and Mephibosheth.

David honored these two king’s sons with an honorable burial, in Saul’s ancestral tomb in the Land of Benjamin.

At Last, God’s anger was appeased and the three year famine had come to an end!!

And not only did God lift the curse from upon the land, but He also removed the curse from Rizpah’s sons in death, burying them with honor, like the rightful heirs of a king!!

God accepted Rizpah’s sacrifice, as she pitched her tent on the rock of hope, waiting and believing that God, in his great mercy, would send both rain and answers to his people’s prayers in Israel once again!!

Nuggets of Wealth for Life and Health- July 20

-And the dove came back to him in the evening, and behold, in her mouth was a newly sprouted and freshly plucked olive leaf! So Noah knew that the waters had subsided from the land

(Genesis 8:11)

Hey Neighbor!

Today is Wednesday, and Here is Your Nugget for this week…July 20, 2022.

****************************************

Today’s nugget will hopefully benefit those who are battling sinus/ear infections!!

****************************************

I was talking with my Auntie Dorothy last week, and she was telling me about a Bible Quiz game that she plays on her phone.

She ran down the list of some of the quiz questions, and the very last question was:

What was in the dove’s beak when he returned to Noah’s Ark?

I’m sure you Bible scholars know that answer from age old Sunday School lessons; but if not, the Answer is the Olive Leaf!!

The answer was familiar to me, but not because of a Sunday School lesson, it was because Olive Leaf Extract is another one of my favorite supplements.

I associate the dove bringing forth of the olive leaf, to God’s renewing, healing and restoring the earth, after having rebuked and decimated all of the wicked!!

Now Olive Leaf Extract is my #1 supplement for the treatment and prevention of many illnesses….particularly, that wicked sinus infection!!

Many years ago, if one of my children had acquired an ear infection or a sinus infection…we would race off to the pediatrician for antibiotics.

Now antibiotics are often very effective, but they can also wreak havoc on the gut flora…destroying your good intestinal bacteria, along with the bad…thus decreasing your immune systems ability to naturally fight off illness!!

Now back before I had heard of olive leaf extract, and my kids were taking…yet another course of antibiotics, as recommended by their doctor, I made it my business to load them up with probiotics, as to maintain a well balanced gut.

Years later, I learned (after some self-experimenting) that olive leaf extract was as powerful as an antibiotic, only without those nasty side effects; therefore I was sold!!

What condition was I fighting??

The ever-occurring sinus infection!!

Early on in my marriage, I awoke many a days with my ‘face hurting, and had to call off work and head to the doctor to get antibiotics!!

You see, when my husband and I bought our first home, we had a wet basement.

Every time it rained outside, the water flowed inside. This constant wet basement syndrome, was a perfect environment for mold and mildew to grow and spread- unchecked!!

Thus- it permeated our heating/cooling ventilation system and kept us all battling with bronchitis, ear infections, and my wicked enemy…the sinus infection.

I was tired of repeating the same course of antibiotics over and over again, so I began to treat myself with olive leaf extract at the earliest of symptoms.

I found that the olive leaf stopped the symptoms from progressing, and at other times, it completely decimated my sinus infection when taking larger, and more frequent dosages.

Recently, my Auntie Dorothy ordered her very first bottle!!

She has been using olive leaf to ‘unclog’ her ears….and now she is the poster child for olive leaf extract!!

You have probably seen her up on the advertising billboards in your town🤣

I will be sure to share more about her progress at a later date😉

The brand that I prefer is both potent and reasonable priced: ‘Only Natural’ Olive Leaf Extract immune Support.

As I was reading up, in preparation for this blog, I also learned that Olive Leaf Extract can also be very beneficial to those battling diabetes, high blood pressure, and even arthritis!!

Trivia Tuesday – The Ark Of God!!

David was afraid of the Lord that day and said, How can the ark of the Lord come to me? So David was not willing to take the ark of the Lord to him into the City of David; but he took it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite. And the ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite for three months, and the Lord blessed Obed-edom and all his household

(2 Samuel 6:9)

Hey Neighbor!

Now the above text from 2 Samuel tells us that David had taken the ark of God to the house of Obed-Edom, where it had been ’housed’ for three months.

Why??

Well, scripture tells us that David was afraid of the Lord, after God had broken through and had killed Uzza, who had not been ‘consecrated’ to care for the ark of God.

Thus today’s Trivia Question…..

Prior to the ark’s three month stay @ Obed-Edom’s….

  1. Where had the ark of God been housed?
  2. Who in particular, had been consecrated (set apart for God’s service) and charged with the care of the ark of God during that timeframe?

Hey Neighbor!

Today is Sunday July 17th, and Today we are highlighting another ’faith-full’ female from the bible.

Can You Solve My Riddle??

********************************************
A treaty violated, left the Lord God displeased

My sons were sacrificed, then the Lord was appeased.

God sent famine and drought in the land for three years

I waited for rain through a waterfall of tears

To see their remains devoured, was more than I could bear

Doomed by the sins of their father…It seemed so unfair!!

I fought the birds by day, but the beasts at night were the worst.

God did finally relent! He sent rain!!

And removed my Accursed!!

Hey Neighbor!

Can You believe that Solomon had 700 Wives, and 300 Concubines??…Wow!!

Here is Trivia Thursday’s Question and Your Answer!!

Enjoy🤩

*******************************************

Now the bulk of Solomon’s harem consisted of idol worshipping, pagan women…of whom God had forbidden Solomon to intermarry with.

But Solomon rebelliously loved his harem of ‘strange’ women, and when he was old, they turned his heart from God!!

Now one would suspect that King Solomon would have had countless numbers of children born from this harem, but actually he did not!!

Thus today’s trivia question

*****************************************

Do you know how many children King Solomon had??

Please NAME each of them (children)…from the associated Book, Chapter, and Verse for verification.

I’m taking a huge risk Here, but this is my answer: Taphath the daughter 1 Kings 4:11
Basmath the daughter 1 kings 4:15
Rehoboam . 1Kings 11:43

Chalvonia took a huge risk, and it paid off🤑

********************************************

I also like Pedro’s response, as he was also surprised that Solomon only had 3 children, 1 son who reigned after him, as King and 2 daughters.

Pedro Villarreal-

http://kingdomthoughtsministries.wordpress.com/

Here is Pedro’s response…

Yes, what I saw was that Solomon was probably cursed because of the foreign women that he brought into Jerusalem to be his wives.
It’s probable, if the womb of a woman can be closed, why not the reproductive ability of the man?
Very interesting!

*******************************************

If you read through the comments, you will see that I also found some commentary to support Pedro’s response. But, what do you think??

Solution Saturday – ‘Unnamed’ Son of the prophets!!

Hey Neighbor!

Here is this week’s ‘Name That Prophet’ question and the correct Trivia Answer!

Enjoy🤩

*******************************************

An Old Testament prophet was instructed to go forth and anoint a ‘replacement’ king for God.

This ceremony took place in a very similar scenario, as it was a also a clandestine or ’private’ anointing ceremony…because the ’official’ king was still in possession of the throne…much like Saul was still the ’official’ King of Israel when David was anointed.

In fact, this particular prophet received very ‘specific’  instructions…not only was he to go and secretly anoint God’s ’replacement’ king in Israel, but afterwards, this prophet was instructed to make a mad dash for the hills!!

******************************************

1) Can you name that Prophet??

2) And who did this prophet anoint as king??

*****************************************
Answer: An Unnamed Son of the prophets, instructed by Elisha to anoint Jehu

*****************************************
– Meanwhile, Elisha the prophet had summoned a member of the group of prophets. “Get ready to travel,” 1 he told him, “and take this flask of olive oil with you. Go to Ramoth-gilead, and find Jehu son of Jehoshaphat, son of Nimshi. Call him into a private room away from his friends, and pour the oil over his head. Say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: I anoint you to be the king over Israel.’ Then open the door and run for your life!”

Article of Armor – Put on Your Peace Shoes!!

And having shod (shoes) your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace.
(Ephesians 6:15)

Hey Neighbor!

This post is from December 2014.

*****************************************

So Now that we have strapped on the Belt of Truth and We’re wearing the Breast Plate of Righteousness…

Now We’re able to Stand!!

But as you well know, there is a war going on all around us and We’re not going to win this Spiritual Battle by being immobile.

We have to ‘Go’ forth – Walking in the Shoes of Peace.

From Yesterday’s Lesson, We learned that We have already acquired Peace, when we were filled with the Fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Now, this is no ordinary peace, but it is the Peace that Transcends All Understanding!!

Here’s the part that We do Understand…

This is an Old-heirloom Peace – An inherited Peace, passed down through many generations…It’s the Same Peace That the disciples inherited when Jesus bequeathed it to them saying:

Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid-
(John 14:27)

Jesus knew that after He had gone away, that the disciples would become cowardly and fearful when it came time for them to battle against the devil…and He knows that we too, sink back into fear, having been intimidated by the roars of Our enemy.

The Apostle Peter said:

For that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour-
(1 Peter 5:8)

And not only is he seeking to devour us, but he also has a battle plan – A well thought out evil, strategy to cause Us to Fall…so that He can sink his teeth into our hearts and rip our lives apart.

So Watch Out For his Set-Up!!

He’s laid out his traps and snares to tangle us up in offense, unforgiveness and bitterness…Causing us to Fall-Out with our Sisters and Brothers…Thus, Stealing our Peace!!

…Leaving us, caught-up in his deception, believing that Our Sisters and Brothers are the enemy…and treating them as such…when the devil was the instigator, all along.

Satan knows that He can render us immobile without our Peace…and he can hinder our walk…Stopping Us
from going forth as Jesus’ disciples…and as His hands and feet; As His witnesses to tell the world the Good News about Jesus and about the Peace that He Purchased for Us!!

Yes!! Jesus Paid it All…He is Our Peace Between Us and God!!

So…God is not Mad at Us!!

Jesus Is the Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the World!!

He Was the Ultimate, Acceptable Sacrifice to God for the remission of Our Sins!!

Jesus – Walking Salvation has Come Into the World!!

…And He Left Us…Heirs to Salvation…His Peace!!

So As We Walk out to the Battlefront, we must Be Spiritually prepared to…

Step-over offense!!

Kick unforgiveness to the curb!!

Trod-down bitterness!!

…and Stomp on that slivering, lying, devil’s head!!

We’ve gotten ‘Punked’ by the devil for far too Long…It’s time to put him under Our Peace-Shod Feet!!

..So Let’s keep it moving…’Go!!’ Walk-On in Peace… with Yo’ ‘Bad’ Shoes on!!…Sharing the Good News about Jesus Christ with your friends, your family, your neighbors, and All the World!!

Till tomorrow, When We will Put on our Shield of Faith!!

God’s Peace Be With You…

Can You Name That Prophet??

-Fill your horn with oil; I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided for Myself a king among his sons. Samuel said, How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me. (1Samuel 16:1-2)

In the above passage, we find that God is fed up with the very rebellious king of Israel, and He is now sending the prophet, Samuel out to anoint a replacement king…that being David, the son of Jesse.

I love it how Samuel goes to anoint David, in the presence of his father and his brothers, yet still this was a ’private’ anointing ceremony, that had been held quite secretly at Jesse’s house.

Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed David in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon David from that day forward. And Samuel arose and went to Ramah. (1Samuel 16:13)

Notice in Verse 13, how Samuel pours the anointing oil over David and then hightails it back to safety at his compound in Ramah🤣

Interestingly enough, there was another Old Testament prophet, who was also instructed to go forth and anoint a ‘replacement’ king for God.

This ceremony took place in a very similar scenario, as it was a also a clandestine or ’private’ anointing ceremony…because the ’official’ king was still in possession of the throne…much like Saul was still the ’official’ King of Israel when David was anointed.

Solution Saturday – Naboth

– Ahab said to Naboth, Give me your vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near my house. I will give you a better vineyard for it or, if you prefer, I will give you its worth in money. (1Kings 21:2)

Hey Neighbor!

Here is Trivia Thursday’s Riddle, once again and also today’s answer.

I hope you enjoyed!!💕

******************************************

Facing the wall on his bed; that’s how he was laid

Like a small, pouting child because I wouldn’t trade

Herbs he wanted, instead of my vines

His wife vowed to give him the land that was mine

So she plotted against me and then had me stoned

To acquire the property and land that I owned

But God saw their antics; He avenged my life

With Retribution against him and his treacherous wife.
******************************************
Who Am I??

******************************************
I am Naboth, the Jezreelite

-NOW NABOTH the Jezreelite had a vineyard in Jezreel, close beside the palace of Ahab king of Samaria; (1Kings 21:1)

*******************************************
This is a intriguing story from the Book of 1 Kings. Chapter 21 gives us insight into how Ahab, The King of Israel, and his conniving wife, Jezebel schemed to steal the vineyards belonging to Naboth. This story also reveals the consequences that Ahab and Jezebel would suffer for their treachery, as prophesied by The Prophet, Elijah.

Name That Prophet Answer – Elisha!!

Hey Neighbor!

Here is This Week’s Name That Prophet Question and Answer.
**********************************************

Time after time we have seen ordinary men and women come to the prophet, or the ‘man of God,’ seeking his help with some very burdensome petitions. We have learned that sometimes these burdensome requests can cause the prophet to feel panicked and/or overwhelmed.

Now there was a man who had come to a certain prophet in Israel, requesting to take upon himself or to receive a burden from the prophet.

Oddly enough, this man had gone to the prophet in Israel, requesting dirt – In fact this man had returned to the prophet, asking for not one…but two loads of dirt.

Who was this man who had made such an odd request and also…

Can you name that Prophet??

********************************************
Answer: The Syrian Commander, Naaman and The Prophet, Elisha

Guard Your Heart with the Breastplate of Righteousness!!

-Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life-
(Proverbs 4:23)

Hey Neighbor!

It’s Oldie but a Goodie Friday!!

Today’s blog is revived from 2014’s Whole Armor of God Series.

Last Friday, we tightened the belt of truth and around our waist…but that was just the beginning.

Today we will continue to get geared-up for battle, as we must vigilantly guard our heart!!

Enjoy!!

*******************************************

Today’s Article of Armor is the Breastplate of Righteousness.

It’s the next Article of Armor that God has issued for Our Spiritual Battle against our wicked opponent.

You Know…The one that has come to steal Our peace and joy…and to use Our hearts for his target practice and -Take Us Out!!

Ephesians 6:14 tells Us to – Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness.

So there we are standing, firm-footed, with the Belt of Truth around our waists. Yesterday we learned that We’ve been supercharged with the Power of the Holy Spirit…

He’s equipped us to Talk by His Spirit…confessing the Truth of His Word, But Now we must Put on The Breastplate of Righteousness- That’s our Heart’s Guard!!

What is Righteousness??

It’s simply…right-Standing with God!!

…And God sees us as His Righteous children… Not because We don’t smoke or drink…nor because We’ve worked so hard to behave ourselves…because none of Us ‘Saints’ can live and not be tempted to sin!!

…But It’s Only Because Of His Holy Spirit Living in our Hearts.

Remember…We received Him- The Holy Spirit, by Our Confession of Faith – We’ve Accepted Jesus Christ as our Personal Savior.

…And now that He’s come in…He’s purified and cleaned up our hearts so that He can Dwell in Us!!

And He’s credited our Spiritual accounts with His Righteousness…and now He wants to in-fill us with the Fruit of His Spirit…Thus Strengthening and Protecting our Spiritual Hearts For the Battle against sin!!

The Fruit of the Spirit is love, peace, joy, goodness, kindness, patience, meekness, faith and self-control.
(Galatians 5:22)

And as this fruit develops in Our hearts, through reading and studying ‘The Word,’ it will ripen in our hearts, and therefore allow for little – to no room for sin…Thus guarding our hearts from the influx of carnal cravings and deflecting the enemy’s fiery darts of temptation, that would otherwise pierce through our hearts and destroy our lives.

So, Now That You’re in Your God-Gear, wearing The Breastplate of Righteousness and You’re Heart is Guarded, You’re Spiritually Equipped to Say No to Sin!!

…And Now You’re Ready to Let the Springs of Life Flow as You Prepare Your Feet, Tomorrow, To Go Forth Sharing The Gospel of Peace!!

She laid the boy upon the bed in the upper room and shut the door behind her. She hurried to her husband, but not to share the tragic news that their young son had just passed away while sitting in her lap; nor was she moving with such haste to initiate funeral arrangements for their child.

This Shunammite woman spoke very briefly, but hurriedly with her husband, requesting that he send for a donkey and a servant. She must make her way to see the prophet Elisha, right away!!

The Woman instructed her servant to ride fast, without slackening his pace for her at all, until she had reached her destination.

When she was approached and greeted by Elisha’s servant Gehazi, she spoke these words…It is well!!

It is Well with my household!!

It is well with my husband!!

It is well with my son!!

But all was not well, however she could not allow herself to speak the words…HER SON WAS DEAD!!

She could not utter those words with her tongue, permitting them to have life, as they pierce the air.

She must remain hopeful and confident that everything would be alright, just as she had said to her husband, before she had departed.

You see, The Shunammite woman knew, very much like the woman with the issue of blood, if she could just make her way to the holy man, the divine power of God could make her son whole!!

She held back the tears and restrained the overwhelming sorrow she felt ‘til finally, she could bear it no more .

She had finally reached Elisha, clinging to him for dear life, she began to release her heartfelt anguish at his feet

She was both grievous and bitter.

She had not fretted for a son, like Hannah…nor had she demanded a son like Rachel.

But this son was promised to her, by the man of God, Elisha…just like Isaac had been promised to Sarah, by the Angel of the Lord.

And as promised, the Shunammite Woman did conceive and bore the child in the before mentioned timeframe…but unlike Sarah, now her son was no more!!

He was no longer in the land of the living, so he could not replenish her life with laughter and joy.

Instead of lying in her bosom, her son now lay lifeless, upon the bed in the prophet’s chamber.

The Shunammite woman’s son had been a blessed gift from God to recompense her for being so hospitable to the man of God.

She had unselfishly shown much care and concern for Elisha…and when asked how she could be compensated for her kindness, this woman asked for nothing!!

It was Elisha’s assistant Gehazi, who had suggested to Elisha that the Shunammite woman may have been in want for a son. Her husband was old and still she had no son to whom she could transfer her estate.

For months she entertained Elisha at her table, as Abraham had entertained the Angel of the Lord.

She was so pleased with his company, that she asked her husband to make a chamber on the rooftop, so that Elisha could stop there to rest…never had she imagined that her son would now lie lifeless, upon his very bed.

Elisha had also made haste to follow her home, where he went up to the room and petitioned the Lord to restore the life to the child.

Gehazi, who had arrived at the house before them, had failed to revive the boy while holding Elisha’s staff to the boy’s face.

But The Shunammite Woman could not lose Faith now….she must continue to petition the throne of God in prayer, as she watched and waited with confident expectation for the Lord to restore her joy!!

She had heard and remembered the divine feats of the prophet, Elijah when he sojourned with the woman of Zarephath.

That Woman had not been from the tribes of Israel, still God in his mercy, had used the man of God, Elijah to revive her son.

The woman of Zarephath had also had a son who had fallen sick and had died.

The Shunammite Woman had heard many stories at their dinner table, as Gehazi described the chariot of fire that had taken Elijah up in a whirlwind, and how God the Father, had passed forward and placed a double portion of Elijah’s anointing upon his servant, Elisha.

She had to believe that if God could use Elijah to resurrect a Sidonian woman’s son, he would certainly restore her double for her trouble, as the Shunammite woman was a daughter from the tribe of Issachar, one of Jacob’s sons!!

Behind the closed door of that upper room, which had for a time been Elisha’s secret place where he had rested and worshipped God; and where his prayers for this kind woman and her family had permeated the walls; and where the spirit of the Lord had shown up, causing this woman to conceive this son of promise!!

Now Elisha watched and waited for God to show up once again, with power from on high!!

Elisha laid prostrate upon the Child once and his warmth returned!!

Elisha paced through the house prayerfully, petitioning the Lord to use him and to finish a mighty work through him!!

Elisha went up again and laid prostrate upon the child and finally, the boy awakened, sneezing seven times!!

God’s work there was now complete!!

This story reminds us that we can never give up, regardless of how tragic the circumstances may appear, God can heal and restore if we will only continue to believe and…even moreso, to faith-fully continue to confess with our mouths that that All is Well!!

Trivia Thursday Riddle – Who Am I??

Hey Neighbor!

Can You Solve My Riddle?

*************************************

Facing the wall on his bed; that’s how he was laid

Like a small, pouting child because I wouldn’t trade

Herbs he wanted, instead of my vines

His wife vowed to give him the land that was mine

So she plotted against me and then had me stoned

To acquire the property and land that I owned

But God saw their antics; He avenged my life

With Retribution against him and his treacherous wife.

Can You Name That Prophet??

Hey Neighbor!

Super-Faith Sunday Riddle – Who Is She??

Hey Neighbor!

It’s Sunday, July 3rd and today we are once again highlighting a ‘faith-full’ female from the Bible, who seems to have fallen, like a crumb beneath our religious radar.

Can You Solve My Riddle??

******************************************

I was taken as a captive of war from my land

I was servant to the wife of a very great man

He was valiant in war, but his body was marked

No one could have known, when he stood in the dark.

For the glory of God, my tongue did reveal

To whom he could go, with divine power to heal

Solution Saturday Answer: Joshua

  • Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest (Joshua 1:7)

Hey Neighbor!

Here is this week’s riddle with the associated verses.

I hope you guys had fun with this one!!

I was inspired to write this one when I learned that Moses had to confront a young Joshua for being a little overzealous and jealous for Moses sake!!

*********************************************
When I was a young man I was envious and jealous

Joshua son of Nun, the minister of Moses, one of his chosen men, said, My lord Moses, forbid them! But Moses said to him, Are you envious or jealous for my sake? Would that all the Lord“s people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them! (Numbers 11:28-29)

For my tribe (House of Ephraim, son of Joseph) and myself, I was even quite zealous

but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15)

Before I was courageous, I served as helper and aid (minister)

And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God. (Exodus 24:13)

Minister defined: KJV  Dictionary – a chief servant; hence, an agent appointed to transact or manage business under the authority of another

Dutifully followed the paths my master had paved

But charge Joshua, and encourage and strengthen him, for he shall go over before this people and he shall cause them to possess the land which you shall see (Deuteronomy 3:28)

He chose me, even while I was still a young man

Joshua son of Nun, the minister of Moses, one of his chosen men, said, My lord Moses, forbid them!  (Numbers 11:28)

I guess God had my prosperous future pre-planned

For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.  (Joshua 1:8)

When my master couldn’t go, ‘twas I who took lead

But the Lord was angry with me on your account and would not listen to me; and the Lord said to me, That is enough! Say no more to Me about it.  (Deuteronomy 3:26)

Get up to the top of Pisgah and lift up your eyes westward and northward and southward and eastward, and behold it with your eyes, for you shall not go over this Jordan.  (Deut 3:27)

There’s a book in the Bible that records all my deeds (Book of Joshua)

AFTER THE death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses“ minister,  Moses My servant is dead. So now arise [take his place], go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land which I am giving to them, the Israelites (Joshua 1:1)

The Belt of Truth – Don’t Leave Home Without Him!!

-But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He (will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future-
(John 16:13)

Hey Neighbor!

Today’s blog from the past comes from the year 2014 where we were still building upon the Whole Armor of God!!

Enjoy!!

*******************************************

Did You know that the Word ‘Truth’ appears 222 times in the Bible??

Wow!!

Sounds like a pretty Significant Word to me… and it is!!
Today We will discuss “The Belt of Truth.”

If You missed yesterday’s lesson or analogy, we were discussing The Whole Amor of God.
We Looked at Wonder Woman’s Battle Gear and today We’ll look at ours!!

Go Back and check it out…It’s pretty Fun!!

So as we continue to look at the Whole Armor of God and the individual pieces of Our Spiritual Armor, today we will focus on…

The Belt of Truth!! – Don’t Leave Home without Him!!

He does more than hold your Pants up…He is a Spirit and He holds All your Spiritual Gear in Place!!

He is the Spirit of Truth -Our Holy Spirit!!

When we receive Jesus Christ into our lives as our Lord and Savior, We receive the Holy Spirit, placed inside our human spirits, as a Security deposit for our full redemption – That means, when Jesus comes back…Hallelujah…
We’re going to heaven to Be with Him!!

…But in the meantime, We have our own built-in Messenger from God, Speaking to us, Revealing to Us the Truth of God’s Word!!

How does the Holy Spirit speak??

He speaks into our hearts, telling Us everything that He hears in heaven and Revealing things that are to come in the future.

The Spirit of Truth- Our Holy Spirit, has the full knowledge of the Entire Bible, because He wrote it!!

Remember… He was the One Who Inspired the original authors…
And when we Read, Study and Meditate on His Word, He tells us the True thoughts that God has about Us and Reveals the Loving thoughts about Us, that are in the Mind of Christ.

He Tells Us!!

God is not mad at You – He wants to adopt You into His Family!!

Jesus Loves You and Gave His Life for You – Receive Him Today; He wants to Be Your Big Brother!!

So the Spirit of Truth Encourages Us in the Lord and Builds us Up in The Truth, Reminding us That God is still watching over us and He has Our Back!! He gets us ‘pumped up’ for the Spiritual Battle, that’s just ahead!!

But Remember…we can’t just run to the battlefront with our physical weapons – like our fists, or guns and knives…This is Spiritual Warfare!!

We have to fight Spirit with Spirit!!

So Gear-up and Strap on the Belt of Truth…and Now You’re ready – Strapped with Your double-edged Sword!!

-Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth… (Eph 6:14)

No Longer will the devil defeat Us so easily with his lies, deceptions and evil strategies. We can resist him, as Jesus did…Speaking the truth of the Written Word that’s hidden down in Our hearts!!

We too, can Proclaim…”It is Written…” And watch that “Sucka” Flee!! (Matthew 4:4-10)

…and til the next time, We’ll Be Free!

-Jesus said, If you abide in My word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance (with them], you are truly My disciples. And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free-
(John 8:31)

So let’s stop resisting God Today and start to resist the devil…Let’s Put him on the run!!

We can do our ‘turnaround thing,’ like Wonder Woman, and strap on Our Belt of Truth and fight against the wicked one….and as he lashes out against Us, with his lies from Hell, We can cut him down to his knees, equipped with the ‘Truth!’

Nuggets of Wealth for Life and Health – June 29

BLESS (AFFECTIONATELY, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name! Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits– Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases (Psalms 103:1)

Hey Neighbor!

Today is Wednesday, and Here is Your Nugget for this week…June 29, 2022.

*****************************************

Today’s nugget will hopefully benefit those who are battling pain and inflammation!!

******************************************

Now, very rarely do I experience pain…every since I learned that certain foods, particularly in excess can trigger pain!!

Anyway…yesterday my hip began to ache. Fortunately, I knew exactly what to do!!

It was time to run a tub of hot water, toss in a couple of large scoops of baking soda, and most importantly, add my Magnesium oil!!

I soaked for at least 40 minutes!!

Why 40 minutes??

Well, it gives your body enough time to take in the amount of baking soda it wants and/or needs, then your body will cause any excesses or retained ‘water’ to be filtered back out as sweat.

This works very nicely for me, as it will usually help to normalize my body’s ph or percent hydrogen…which is happy right around 7-7.5.

Now, I check my ph daily and yesterday, I discovered that it had dropped down to a 5.5, which creates a very acidic condition in the body.

This was not a surprise to me, considering I have been eating out for about a week and binging on coffee!!

Coffee has its benefits, but in excess, it can also feed acidic conditions in the body and can induce pain.

When the bloodstream is very acidic, inflammation can reign and roam in the body.

Inflammation or as I call it, ‘itis’ will roam through the body and find a nice cozy place to land…thus my inflamed hip yesterday…and the associated pain.

Now…In comes Magnesium to the rescue!!

My body absorbs magnesium like a sponge absorbs water…and very likely, yours will too!!

No worries about your body taking in too much, or whether or not the body will filter out the excesses this time, because most of us are magnesium deficient.

Our bodies do not make magnesium, and it is very often depleted from the soil…thus it remains non-existent in most of our store-bought fruits and veggies.

Tending to your soil naturally and growing your own herbs, fruits and veggies will reintroduce magnesium back into the the body, naturally.

If this is not feasible, then you may want to introduce your magnesium as an oral supplement, or even as a topical oil.

I choose both, in addition to growing a few foundational herbs, fruits and veggies at home.

My Naturopath recommends a brand of Magnesium called:

Integrative Therapeutics Tri-Magnesium.

This stuff works wonders…just a couple before bed will help to lull you off to sleep, and may even bring down those elevated Blood Pressure Numbers by morning.

In addition to my nightly dose of Tri-Mag, I have also discovered:

Ancient Minerals Magnesium Oil.

This stuff has brought tremendous relief to myself, my family members, friends, and also my church fam.

I usually purchase the large bottle of Ancient Minerals…I prefer the ‘Ultra’ brand…and I often share it with the folks at church, who have been suffering with pain…and the positive reports are pouring in!!

I call it, My Magnesium Ministry!!🤣

Anyway, my hip pain is nearly gone!!

No coffee for me this morning and I’m off for another 40 minute soak!!

Here is Your Health Homework:

Research percent hydrogen (ph) and the effects of acidic conditions on the body.

I think you will be quite enlightened, and you may even start testing your body’s ph daily, as well!!

********************************************

Again…I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV🤣

So Ultimately, You must do your own research, and talk with your physician to make the best health choices for yourself and your family.

Don’t Forget…Your Health Must Matter Most To You!!

What’s On Your Menu??- Adam and Eve!!

And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die (Genesis 2:16)

Hey Neighbor!

In Numbers 11, the people began to murmur and complain about the fresh manna that God served up every morning for breakfast, lunch, and dinner….and even for dessert!!

They longed for the fish, of which they ate freely and also for the leeks and the garlic, from back when they were enslaved in Egypt.

In fact these rabble rousers were nearly ready to revolt and return to Egypt, just to satisfy their insatiable palates.

What a stiff-necked, rebellious group of folks!!

But if you will remember, it was not so from the beginning…back in Eden!!

Back in the Garden of Eden, God was serving up fruit in abundance. Adam and Even could eat freely from a great variety of trees in the Garden…and they were pleasantly satisfied until the serpent slithered in….with a surprise!!

After their Exodus, I can imagine that Adam and Eve also wished that they could have returned to the Pleasantness of the Garden of Eden to dine and to freely eat, like they used to.

Only now they couldn’t go back…even if they tried!!

Their way back was now prevented by the Angel with the flaming Sword.

God had placed the Cherubim there, at the East of Eden to guard and protect the tree of Life from the hands of Adam and his wife.

They had been disobedient and had eaten from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity…and now that they knew the difference between good and evil, they were banned from God’s Garden Restaurant!!

Where would they eat now??

After they were driven from Eden, they saw a sign that read: ‘Out of Eden’s Edibles’

Check out the Menu!!

****************************************

Starters:

Original Sin Soup

Fallen Fruit Salad

Entrees:

Beguiled Burgers

Exile’s Egg salad

Sweaty-brow Pizza topped w/thorns and thistles

Dessert:

Serpent’s Surprise!!

********************************************

Now, when Eve decided to inquire about the Serpent’s Surprise, she learned that it was actually a heaping dish of Fried Apples, sprinkled with a ‘dust to dust’ dessert topping.

She recommended the ‘surprise’ to her husband…but on this go-round, Adam decided it was best that they decline to dine in that place all together!!🤣

I’ve heard it said that hind-sight is 20/20😂

Super-Faith Sunday Riddle – Who Am I??

Hey Neighbor!

It’s Sunday 6/26, and Today I wrote another riddle to highlight this week’s ‘Faith-Full’ Female from the Bible.
Can You Guess Who She Is??

*******************************************

I saw him pass by and convinced him to dine

I desired for him, a nice place to recline

Because of my wealth, I provided the best

So the mouthpiece of God could stop here and rest

He was pleasantly pleased by my thought and concern

But my secret desire, he could not discern

He rushed back to my home, for sudden death had arrived

Back to my home, where his rest had derived

In the very same bed, where he had once lain

Slept my lifeless beloved, whom by noon had been slain

Solution Saturday Answer- Moses’ Leprous Hand!!

-[Then God said] If they will not believe you or heed the voice or the testimony of the first sign, they may believe the voice or the witness of the second sign. (Ex 4:8)

Hey Neighbor!

Here is Trivia Thursday’s Question and Answer!!

***************************************

Now in the Old Testament, there was an incident where God marked one of His prophets with leprosy, for a time.

And although God had caused the disease of leprosy to fall upon this prophet, God was not using this particular case of leprosy to reflect His displeasure with the man, but instead this prophet’s leprous hand was to be used as a sign to reflect God’s Power and Authority.

*********************************************

Can You Name That Prophet??

*******************************************
Answer: The Prophet, Moses

-The Lord said also to him, Put your hand into your bosom. He put his hand into his bosom, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous, as white as snow. [God] said, Put your hand into your bosom again. So he put his hand back into his bosom, and when he took it out, behold, it was restored as the rest of his flesh

(Exodus 4:6-7)

Putting on The Whole Armor of God!!

-Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil. For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents-
(Ephesians 6:11-12)

Hey Neighbor!

It’s 6/24/2022 and it’s Oldie but a Goodie Friday on the CareBibleStudy Blog.

Last week I revived a Father’s Day tribute to my dad, reflecting how he was armed with the sword of the spirit- which is the Word of God.

Before I chose my dad as my sword- wielder, I introduced this blog back in 2014, when I received the revelation regarding God’s Spiritual Armor.

Here is a peek into the past – The Whole Armor of God!!

****************************************

This weekend was a Retro-television weekend at my house!!

I really enjoy introducing the old shows that I grew up watching on TV to my daughter, Allie.

I love it when she plops down at the foot of our bed and she gets all wrapped up in the blankets…and in these old TV shows!!

So this weekend we watched the first season of…’Wonder Woman!!’

I used to love me some Wonder Woman!!
And I was so excited, about getting the video home, because for me …it would be like watching the show for the very first time.

I was only 2 when the show came out in ’75… And the re-runs only ran through the early 80’s, so I was only about 10 years old and couldn’t remember anything about the plot…but I remembered the ‘turnaround thing.’

As kids, whenever my brother Tony and I agreed to play superheroes…we would fight the evil trees (our enemy) in the backyard…and I would do the turnaround thing and transform into Wonder Woman and save the World!! Yay!!

And so…as Allie and I watched the first few episodes, she turned to me and asked, “Why do the villains give up so easily after Wonder Woman throws that rope over them?”

So I reminded her, that the rope was no ordinary rope, but it was the ‘Truth Lasso!’

Once it’s looped around the bad guys …they loose their ability to resist against the good guys …. and they can only confess the truth!!

So then we started talking about the rest of her costume…and as we sat there, we were able to identify the purpose for all of Wonder Woman’s special weapons on her outfit.

She wore a Golden Belt – from where her strength was generated

She wore the Feminine Bracelets – to deflect bullets

She wore a Golden Crown – which she could use like a boomerang

And again, she carried the Truth Lasso

So I thought Man!! …Wonder Woman was Fully Equipped!!

And then the Holy Spirit says, “You’re Fully Equipped too!”

He says,
“You have your special, Spiritual Weapons.”….
You’re dressed in the Whole Armor of God!!”

I thought, “That’s So Cool!!”
So…We Really are Like Wonder Woman, In Christ!!

Just Think about it for a moment…

When We finally stop resisting God, and decide that We’re ready to start resisting the devil, We make our Confession of Faith. –

We confess that we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He came to earth and died for Our sins.

…Then, like Wonder Woman, we too can do the turnaround thing!!

We turn our backs on sin and accept Jesus Christ as our Personal Savior, asking Him to come and live on the inside of Us!

…When He comes in- As the Holy Spirit – He purifies our human spirit; Transforming Us into a New Spiritual Creature in Christ.

And Then…He fully equips us for Spiritual Warfare against our enemy!!

-Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God, And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace. Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one]. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God-
(Ephesians 6:14-15)

Now, after getting geared-up, before we run to the battle line, we have to know…Who is Our opponent??

According to Ephesians 6:12,
-For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.-

This is important because this verse tells us that our opponent is not of flesh and blood.

The devil is an evil spirit, and he desires to steal Our peace, kill Our hope and Our joy, and to destroy Our lives and Our families…and take Us to Hell with him!!

So we can’t come to the battlefront, ill-prepared, with physical weapons like our fists, or guns and knives.

We have to fight Spirit with Spirit!!

So God empowers us to resist the enemy, Spiritually dressed in His Armor – Standing there in His Power and Might!!

-Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place.

Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God, And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace. Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one]. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God-
(Ephesians 6:13-15)

So this week, we will talk more about the details of Our Spiritual Weapons and how Our Awesome God equips us with each essential piece of gear for Our Spiritual Battle against the devil and our flesh!!

So on Tuesday, We’ll talk about the purpose for our First Spiritual Weapon – The Belt of Truth-

Until Tomorrow,

Can You Solve My Riddle Answer – Adah and Zillah

-And said, For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be united firmly (joined inseparably) to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh? (Matthew 19:5)

******************************************
Hey Neighbor!

Once Again, here is this week’s riddle with the associated bible verses inserted.
******************************************

Jacob and David were ensnared by our sin

This sin was not so, ‘til the three of us began
And Lamech took two wives; the name of the one was Adah and of the other was Zillah.
(Gen 4:19)

-And did not God make [you and your wife] one [flesh]? Did not One make you and preserve your spirit alive? And why [did God make you two] one? (Malachi 2:15)

I was my husband’s #1 bride (Adah), I said yes and I do

Then he married again, she was bride #2 (Zillah)

The two sons that I bore were gifted with skills

(Jabal and Jubal Genesis 4:20)

A musician and a shepherd by a man who could kill (Lamech)

#2’s son was skilled with both iron & bronze, and not with pottery (Tubal-cain Genesis 4:22)

Their dad (Lamech) would’ve picked #7, if he could’ve played lottery 🤣😂

(If Cain is avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech [will be avenged] seventy-sevenfold (Gen 4:23)

Bible Trivia Thursday- Can You Name That Prophet??

Hey Neighbor!

Back in April of this year, I shared a couple of riddles with you.

Now one of the riddles was about the 10 lepers, from Jesus’ parable in Luke 17:15.

Here is a link, if you would like to go back and check out those 2 riddles and their pertinent answers….

Now, out of those 10 lepers from Jesus’ parable, we learned that it was the 1 Samaritan Leper who returned to Jesus with much thanks, praising Jesus for healing his body and removing the leprous marks of God’s displeasure.

Can You Name That Prophet??

It’s Just You and Your Bible For This One!!

Hopefully, You will be able to solve this one without the use of the internet, or any electronic applications!!

I will post Your answer on Solution Saturday!!

Until Then,

Nuggets of Wealth for Life and Health II-June 22

– BLESS (AFFECTIONATELY, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name! Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits– Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases (Psalms 103:1)

Hey Neighbor!

Today is Wednesday, and Here is Your Nugget for this week…June 22, 2022.

******************************************

Today’s nugget will hopefully benefit those who are battling skin eruptions and/or acne.

I learned about the benefits of probiotics for skin eruptions many years ago, when my daughter, Allie was diagnosed with eczema.

We learned that Allie had many food allergies/sensitivities, which were the major cause for her breakouts.

Another contributing factor was Allie’s infrequent bowel movements. She should have been having at least one bowel movement/day, but she was only going about every 4 days or so, and therefore…her bowels were impacted.

Thank God for Probiotics!!

A daily probiotic or two, taken 30 minutes- 1 hour prior to her first meal of the day, was the trick..along with a fleet enema…and a little castor oil!!

This got things moving!!

Now Tam…Why 1 hour prior to the first meal??

Because, in order for your probiotics to be most effective, they really need to be able to survive the stomach’s acid, so that they can be absorbed into your gut/colon.

At this point, the probiotics can and will stimulate the cleansing of the bowels…and as your intestinal balance is restored, you will notice that you are much more ‘regular.’

In fact, you might be quite surprised to see just how much ‘poop’ was trapped in your colon!!

Once the bowel is cleansed, and the good/bad bacteria is restored in the gut, all of that excess waste material, and their associated toxins, will no longer be available in the gut to recycle their toxins into your blood stream…taxing your already overworked liver!!

Also, don’t forget that a digestive enzyme taken with your meals can still be very beneficial to help control outbreaks…and don’t forget that there are many natural digestive aids…like mint, ginger, and/or apple cider vinegar (with the ‘mother.’)

I like ’Bragg’s’ Apple Cider Vinegar!!

Many of you may find that by adding probiotics into your morning regimen, and utilizing digestive enzymes/aids, you may experience fewer headaches, less trouble with skin outbreaks/acne, and you may even have fewer complaints about body aches and pain.

For Your Health Homework: Magnesium

Next week, I will begin to share some nuggets of wealth about the benefits of magnesium, whether taken as an oral supplement or applied topically.

Magnesium can be a game changer for many who suffer with what I call ‘-itis.’ This is simply pain and inflammation in the body!!

Hopefully, you too will experience the wonders of Magnesium in the body…like so many of my family members and my friends!!

Again…I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV🤣

So Ultimately, You must do your own research, and talk with your physician to make the best health choices for yourself and your family.

Don’t Forget…Your Health Must Matter Most To You!!
