Take a census of the Kohathite division among the sons of Levi, by their families, by their fathers“ houses, From thirty years old and up to fifty years old, all who can enter the service to do the work in the Tent of Meeting…(Num 4:2-33)
Hey Neighbor!

What was so significant about the age of 30, in the Bible??
In the scripture above, we see where the sons of Levi (Kohathites, Gershonites, and the Merarites) were deemed ‘ready’ for the warfare of the Lord’s Service at the age of 30.
But can you name at least three (3) more 30 year olds from the Bible, who God deemed ready to wrestle (spiritually) in the service of The Kingdom of God, after having reached this ‘milestone’ birthday??
One of these is exceptionally easy!!

Can You Name These (3) Thirty Year Olds??

Interesting, the NIV is my go to, but also like those as well. Growing up, the king James was the version used.

Hey Warren! Check this out!!
The NIV, NASB, and the NLT, show Saul as king at 30 years old, where the Amplified, and The ASV, reflect Saul at 40 years old. The KJV, NKJV, and the ESV does not give Saul’s age!!

Saul and David became king at 30. And Ezekiel sees his first vision and God calls him to be his prophet, if I am
not mistaken.

Believe, this is what you’re looking for; the exceptionally easy first.
“Now Jesus himself was about thirty years old, when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli,” Luke 3:23 NIV
“Joseph was thirty years old, when he entered the service of Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from Pharaoh’s presence and traveled throughout Egypt.” Genesis 41:46 NIV
“Saul was thirty years old, when he became king, and he reigned over Israel forty- two years.” 1 Samuel 13:1 NIV
“David was thirty years old, when he became king, and he reigned forty years.”
2 Samuel 5:4 NIV
“In my thirtieth year, in the fourth month on the fifth day, while I was among the exiles by the Kebar River, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God. On the fifth of the month—it was the fifth year of the exile of King Jehoiachin— the word of the Lord came to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, by the Kebar River in the land of the Babylonians. There the hand of the Lord was on him.” Ezekiel 1:1-3 NIV
Blessings!🙏🏽

No idea! That’s off the top of my head. I think Jesus was in his thirties, Hubby just said Samson died when he was around 40. I know David killed Goliath when he was a teen, but did he become king around 30ish?
